the best thunder cage build will change from player to player but using a lot of the same best modules for thunder cage in the first descendant and then adding some unique mods that you like, will be awesome for you as a player.
How to get the thunder cage and upgrade / level up the thundercage is fairly straight forward, and everything you need for that is in the game
the first descendant thunder cage upgrades unique ability to 4 pips, allowing for more damage and better reload time
the first descendant thunder cage mounting reactor will help dramatically with skill damage also
while the first descendant thunder cage best build is left up to the individual, i think this has a good selection of mods
the first descendant thunder cage level up is easy to do also, and make the gun stronger

Lock the Critical hit damage and roll until you get a gold firearm ATK. Then lock Firearm ATK and Critical hit damage and reroll at 5 cost each until you get the desired results. Your gun should read over 500K with the element. Mines is currently 514k similar build. (With one empty spot) Currently running Crit hit damage, crit hit rate, Firearm ATK, electric ATK on the gun, and chill enhancement mod. Once I swap my blues for the purple mods you've shown, it should be much higher. Also, I'm farming for the Shot Focus which is a Descendant mod that adds to your Firearm ATK. 😐
I've rerolled mine like 30 times hits worse with crit somehow and still only reads what it did when it was white attributes at 80k! Don't understand this game lol! Same mods gold attributes crit and element and still says the same thing plus like 300 damage
Nice mine is sitting at 500k with two open card slots left.
My second build is 480k with 88% crit and I'm running the veteran 4 piece which adds another 5% crit. Plus the thunder rolled with crit and crit damage
I'm still not sure how to build the Thunder Cage. I know that you need to "combine" 4 Thunder Cages to make 1 giant Super Thunder Cage, I get that part.
My thing is "combining" it with other weapons to make it better. I get it takes the weapons level you "combine" it with and it'll boost its Damage up. But can you "combine" more than once into the same Thunder Cage? Like ive got a Level 52 Launcher that's going to give my TC a 40K DMG boost if I "combine" them. Can I then later add say a 56 Level weapon into the same TC I put the Launcher into? Thats what is confusing me.
For the collossi fight, how much difference is there? It would be nice to have all builds in one video.
Thanks for the build; will try it out. Luckily, I haven't fully assigned all my slots on my Thunder Cage yet. BTW, do yo think it's better to leave one non-assigned, so you can swap in the best elemental effect for your situation/boss?

I managed to roll a gold 13.3% crit rate on mine. Does it go any higher? It wasn't reflected in the info sheet
Out of curiosity, has anyone done some numbers on the difference between swapping Insight focus and edging shot? Those two both seem good in their own right, but I wonder if trading Firearm dmg ends up being worth it? What’s good is that it matches in polarity so it’s a nice swap depending on which is more valuable.
Edging shot gives you more crit chance at the cost of attack damage but I think it performs better, but the cost of capacity is more as I remember.
I've always loved using the thunder Cage. So happy there is such an insane build, appreciate it!

Theres a 700k dps thundercage build out i think. Then again that 700k number is totally meaningless.

Once people realize python plus a stacked valby = insane damage from python and 400k-500K+ dots (combined) constantly ticking on your target

Does it work well on a Colossi? For mobbing we already have a lot of options.
