Its absolutely possible to decide our response/recording of the experience in our mind, and take every situation on its merit and we can be train ourself to be unaffected, no matter what the situation is or what the people do to us/society... Thats perfect!!... However if there is an offense and Himsa being committed consistently and wantonly over a period of time, the right response has to be given to ensure such offenses are stopped for good and ensure Dharma/Ahimsa...!!
