Making a Shed into a Greenhouse

Take an existing shed and turn it into a greenhouse! This video isn't a how-to, it is a journey of discovery and learning for me and hopefully inspirational for you. I hope this video inspires you to build- upcycling and recycling materials whenever possible. Use the material and resources on hand and think creatively to make your greenhouse dreams come true.
We go through the process of removing the old siding, cutting the holes for the windows, putting the windows in place, insulating the space, finishing the inside including installing an attic fan, tiling the floor, grouting with silicone, finishing the outside with board and batten siding and installing shelves and plants!
We try and use upcycled, recycled and second hand materials as much as possible, to keep the project affordable and sustainable.

Yes, I thought about changing the roof and then decided not to mess with the structure that completely.
It functions great as a greenhouse as-is and I didn’t worry when there was insane amounts of snow on it all winter last year!

Im in love. I have a shed thats exterior is falling off (framing still good) and trying to decide what to do with it. My question is how os your little greenhouse warmed in thr winter? I live in N.E.Ohio and would love a happy garden when the world is cold and grey, especially come February 😆

I have a space heater in there in the winter, it takes the edge off at night and keeps it from freezing. During the day it heats up quite a bit (all seasons). I put in an attic fan that kicks on at a set temp and keeps it from getting too hot in the sun. I love it- you should do it!!
