Meg & Cris Live at Carnegie Hall "Beautiful Soul" ~ Olivia Records 10th Anniversary Celebration

Those of us involved in the Women’s Music movement from the early days of the First National Women’s Music Festival in Champaign-Urbana, IL in 1974 and Meg’s first album, I Know You Know, recorded later that year, had front row seats at the evolution of this feminist cultural and political juggernaut. So it was a breath-taking moment to recall our journey from multi-purpose rooms, church basements, school auditoriums, and coffeehouses while witnessing Women's Music on stage at Carnegie Hall in 1983. I was thrilled to have “Beautiful Soul” included in Cris and Meg's set list. Having sung this song with them both so many times over the years, I can say their performance is as fragile and fierce as their finest work.
