Nice bike. Minty. Great year as it has the updated carb setup. Don’t sweat wiping out. Everyone does at some point …and it’s no biggie for the DRZ. I run stock pressures (ie. 18-19 psi front and 22-25 rear) depending on load. I’m way out west though , ride almost every day (11,000 miles on a ‘22) , and with the Mrs. on the back occasionally. If I’m doing more than a half day on the highway I’ll bump up to 20F & 25R. Those new knobbies also likely need a little seasoning to remove the factory mould release. A couple of miles down a gravely road at 16 psi front and 19 psi rear does the trick rather quickly….opens up the rubber compound and makes the tires grip right away.
@T.S.-eo7my Thank you for the info, I am going to use the tire pressures you stated. I have lots of dirt roads near me. I would love to ride everyday just to much traffic in my area for me to ride on the highways. I never thought about the break in on these tires and the or factory mold release. The tire slide like it was on ice lol. Thanks again for the info I really appreciate it.
Nice video ! Yea buddy ! I'm getting ready to mount the same tire setup on some new rims I have for my DRZ400SM. What sizes did you end up running with this combo?
