When i first saw the CGI animations, i genuinely thought i had found the wrong movie, and stumbled upon a fan-made animation. Took me 1 hour to realize that i did indeed have the right thing.
The reason each section looks different is because each story teller is different. It's why cho looks seductive in Straus's story, and why Straus looks uber masculine in Cho's story. It was their perception fueling the art. That's how I saw it.
No, don’t be absurd. its different animation teams. You trying to say that Strauss sees himself as a ripped black man? Cuz thats the only time hes black and ripped. Come off it.

Kuttner did attack the marines for fear of them hurting his “daughter”. I also liked the Captain of the O’Bannon, he first starts off as a government stooge but later expresses guilt for the deaths of his crew (in the form of asking how old Borges’s cousin was) and tries to assuage Borges that finding the shard could be used let his cousin’s family live comfortably for the rest of their lives, he also goes out like a badass.

I actually REALLY like the idea of an animated movie changing art styles for each viewpoint, and even the worst looking one still looked pretty decent. Still, super looking forward to a comic review 👀
Great review as always Jared. I love it when shows and movies do a mixed style type thing. The ones you mentioned are definitely up there but I also heard good things about Love, Death & Robots. It seems to combine a lot of styles too. Really hyped for the comic book review.
Due to a couple scenes in this movie and dead space 2 gave men the sense that the marker only affected the mind and there were never any necromorph monsters. The scene of the monsters appearing in front of the machinery and when the guy attacked they disseapeared and destroyed the machines instead, the scene where a guy and woman started seeing eachother as monsters and as they attacked to defend themselves they injured eachother till the woman died. And a few moments in dead space 2 when issac would walk threw areas filled with dead people and necros and blood splatter on the walls, then a flash and all the dead bodies were gone and the walls were clean, then flash and bodies and blood were back. To imply it was all in his head. Also implying that maybe Issac in these games was the real biggest monster of them all. Killing groups of people who were driven mad and trying to defend themselves from hallucinations and issac saw them as necro monsters. It was a really cool idea, but the dlc of dead space 3 seemed to kind of confirm with the moons that the marker was indeed doing more than just driving people crazy with hallucinations getting them to kill eachother and that the monsters were real, so thats a bummer.
@Avalanche Reviews I just love how this series and movie in particular pays homage to the ALIEN series and his actual writer and Creator the late Dan O'Bannon, whom in turn was inspired by both H.R. Giger (whom then worked on the film on his behest) and H.P. Lovecraft. The fact that they named a ship the O'Bannon is even more direct than anything else. Aside the game ALIEN ISOLATION, I truly wish that movies were made like this game series as it was inspired by ALIEN too. Great videos btw :)

After she refused to co-operate they could have just detained her and then inform her they've branded her a terrorist for the Ishimura. Forcing her compliance. Might have made more sense and allowed them to have another recurring character besides Isaac and Ellie.
Being how they are, Earthgov wouldn't want any loose ends. If there would be any chances for her to escape, they don't want to take it. After all, killing the interogators is one such example, nobody would believe them even if they told the truth but there's always a few that would investigate, it's a loose end that needs to be tied.
Another great video! Question though? Will you ever review Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny, Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams and Onimusha: Blade Warriors? You did the first and third game which is why I'm asking.

Everyone in the world wants more Deadspace. EA: The fans want us to do something good? Alright boys, you know the drill, ignore what they want, and get to work on micro transactions for the original Deadspace trilogy.
You really need to play “ The Thing” . Or do a whole retrospective. The game however is right up your ally. The pc version is the best version just because of the full control of combat versus the lock on combat of the console version.
Aftermath is interesting in that it gives you some information about a character you meet ingame. But I don't think it does to much besides that. It doesn't add to much to the universe, some of the styles don't look that good (and sometimes during the change the characters look very different in my opinion) - so for me, Downfall was better. Sure, Downfall also isn't perfect, but to me, overall, it is superior. I do love the DS universe, and I think it is great they did these movies in the first place. Now it actually doesn't matter anymore... since it seems like the universe is dead anyway.
Stross is swol in the girl's story because it's told from her perspective, in her subjective view he's hot and charismatic. It's the same in his vision, picturing her as the seductress wearing make-up.
Also they doubt earth give treated him very well he was on titan for probably as long as issac. He probably did have a good amount of muscle but lost it because he was in not the best of company

I would love that!!!!!!
I want more dead space games
Everyone in the world wants more Deadspace.
EA: The fans want us to do something good? Alright boys, you know the drill, ignore what they want, and get to work on micro transactions for the original Deadspace trilogy.
Ha, "2 stupid dogs" clip! Nice.
People forgot about that show. I had to remind em.
@@AvalancheReviews Good show, I miss it.
YO Great work thank you!
That 2 and a half D animation just hurts my eyes. Traditional animation all the way, or bust lol
When I saw Stross rocking the Leonidas body it really lost me. He’s definitely not muscular.
I felt the same way. Also, they cant decide if hes black or white
Maybe he was? Aftermath takes place 2 years before DS2, he could’ve lost all his muscle due to being in stasis.
You really need to play “ The Thing” . Or do a whole retrospective. The game however is right up your ally. The pc version is the best version just because of the full control of combat versus the lock on combat of the console version.
Never mind I see it in your under rated horror games list lol. But an updated focus on it would be so entertaining
07:06 A RELATIONSHIP !
New game series: Dead universe. HA! ....................now I'm sad.........
Makes sense
Whos perspective does the garbage 3d animation follow then
@@b33lze6u6 Don't think that anyone in specific, but I guess it's accurate, it's a pretty garbage situation to be in.
Ohh boi I can't wait for dead space 3. But on the other side I don't want you to suffer.
Ha!
Hi, you have any thoughts on the Fatal Frame/project Zero franchise?
They did my girl cho dirty.
I think lobotomy is a cruel, outdated practice that should be abolished.
the 2D segments look anime-esque
