PHIL, Thanks for posting this. I have such a hard time explaining to people how steep and gnarly Windrock actually is. I feel this video does a super job at showing some "real" footage.
Going to windrock soon to go off roading, had no idea the bike trails were this awesome! Looks like a dual purpose trip coming up. Thanks for posting this video Phil!
As everybody knows, pov never gives you that "Oh Sh@@" feel. I was watching this and you cannot understand how steep it really is. These guys are all very good riders and were doing drops and rock stuff so smooth and fast it made the course look even more flat. Great Stuff.
Trails you don't know, on a loaner bike, thats not perfect for some of the hits, following dudes that rip and still honking!! hitting most lines straight up NICE!!
Amazing Trail! Very inspirational as I'm about to start a trail system in Eastern Oklahoma in an area that this trail was very reminiscent of. Very rocky and steep.
We have an old mine that is a MTB park now here in Anderson, IN. Its a lot of uphill and downhill, mostly the piles of earth they moved and piled create a lot of whoop sections or uphills and downhills that allow you to keep your momentum going down and using the speed to get back up easily
From what I read in the pinkbike First Ride, the Helm is at least as good if not superior to the competitors. Especially for aggressive riders like Phil because it's well damped
Windrock has been on my list for a long time... I never manage to go further south than Snowshoe. Real nice of Dakotah to let you borrow a bike, but damn that thing is noisy!
On your live stream I commented about putting a BB spacer to space the drive side crank out so the chainring doesn't hit the frame . This will 100% work . Do not machine the frame down as the wall thickness might not be enough .
The old trails were crazy, and by steep you mean straight down right? I havnt been there in a long time, im assuming these are new since the old trails got logged?
You never realize how fast the pros are until you see them ride trails you've ridden. Like on Drop-out, you just take that four foot drop like it's nothing!
Going there to watch the Pro GRT Event this weekend. Would I survive with a Pivot mach 429 w 120 in the front and 100 in the rear? Carbon wheels? I am now officially nervous.
Brent Okada surprisingly, with all the speed you are carrying from the jump, hitting that line is way easier than trying to swing out and hit the smooth section

214shakenbake haha you are very welcome.
That was a bad ass ride. On my list to visit for when I'm in the neighborhood. Thanks Phil, another awesome video.
Best Mtb video I have seen from anyone in a while!!! Thanks Phil!!!

Skills with phill, i have to say you have the best biking chanell, all of your videos are like wow but this one was just the best!
Going to windrock soon to go off roading, had no idea the bike trails were this awesome! Looks like a dual purpose trip coming up. Thanks for posting this video Phil!

This place looks epic! Definitely making a trip there this summer!
Good stuff Phil! Thanks for sharing..
Awesome, awesome footage Phil!
you make hands down the best pov footage!
Yes! I live in Knoxville and this place is awesome!
As everybody knows, pov never gives you that "Oh Sh@@" feel. I was watching this and you cannot understand how steep it really is. These guys are all very good riders and were doing drops and rock stuff so smooth and fast it made the course look even more flat. Great Stuff.

Impressive riding, even scary at times;)
Trails you don't know, on a loaner bike, thats not perfect for some of the hits, following dudes that rip and still honking!! hitting most lines straight up NICE!!
Best use of a bus I've ever seen
Phil getting hectic on the trail bike toward the end! Sick riding dude. Would love to see you go back with a DH.
Amazing Trail!
Very inspirational as I'm about to start a trail system in Eastern Oklahoma in an area that this trail was very reminiscent of. Very rocky and steep.
Fuzzyyojimbo Where in Oklahoma? I live in Tulsa and it's very rocky at Turkey Mountain.
Roughly Marble City area.
Wow! Sick riding dude!
That log jump at @07.24 tho!
I want to see BKXC take this trail with Phil and flex those new skills he's learning!
Same. BKXC I see you hiding in the comments!
You don't manual that log. You bunnyhop it. Anyone who tries to manual that will ruin their back wheel and/or get launched over the handlebars.
Good effort hopping it on a 200mm+ Dh bike
TrailRider 7:24
That was insane! No where near enough bike for you today Phil!

From what I read in the pinkbike First Ride, the Helm is at least as good if not superior to the competitors. Especially for aggressive riders like Phil because it's well damped
That place looks like a ton of fun

Windrock has been on my list for a long time... I never manage to go further south than Snowshoe. Real nice of Dakotah to let you borrow a bike, but damn that thing is noisy!

Yeah I like trails like that. gnarly stuff, best stuff.
Oh man! We were going to be there on March 18th. Would have been great to meet and ride with you.
Damn Phil, under gunned but still hit it hyper speed blind and semi fearless
11:54 to 12:00 is the best part of the whole video... That last trail was amazing
I can't believe he responded I love bmx and mtb
you gotta come up to Minnesota and ride Battlecreek Park, Lebanon Hills Park and Cuyuna Lakes Trails.
I live right next to this place and didn't even know it existed
Ha! No idea what Dakota is talking about..."It's good cause it's like ugh ugh ugh, ya know?"
Shit mountain bikers say episode 2.
midwest bike parks rule, lol. you gotta check out little switz bike park in wisconsin if you ever get a chance. pretty cool place.
Ive never been to a bike park and cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Phil I was wondering when you would be back at Windrock I live close to there and I just rode dirt bikes there yesterday on the other trails.
Good ole rocky top!
You should come to northern Cali and ride the trail networks around santa cruz, especially USCS
On your live stream I commented about putting a BB spacer to space the drive side crank out so the chainring doesn't hit the frame . This will 100% work . Do not machine the frame down as the wall thickness might not be enough .
What a great test for the new Cane Creek Helm fork.
I love watching Dak in this video.
these videos are actually really sick!
whoa gnarly trail
Crazy fast trail!
Awesome!
I have beeen looking for so much time for a trail like this in the us, so hard to find elsewhere
Using a trail bike made this video a lot more interesting for me!
That place was intense! Dude, carry a spare tube for crying out loud! Hahahaha!!!
Nice video!
Hey Phil, question from the UK. What was the helm fork like? loved the video btw, sick park!!
The cane creek helm is a 1100$ fork. What did you think of it and how it performed?
That place looks awesome! I was just reading an article on the Cane Creek Helm.. How'd did you like it?
niiice. worth a visit!
Cool session
some of those trails look STEEP!
nice riding skills!
This is some extremely good shit !
Sick!!!
yeaaaahhh nice trail :D
Epic!
very nice
I got my first flat today, got home and watch this video xD. Coincidence? Don't think so ;)
Man those steep rocky trails look sick. Definitely DH bike territory.
YO! Phil thanks.
The old trails were crazy, and by steep you mean straight down right? I havnt been there in a long time, im assuming these are new since the old trails got logged?
Fun ride, crappy about all the pinch flats
this was fucking gnarly🔥
the sound of the front derailleur haunts me. so happy im 1x
well if that is he noise i hear
+Carson Amate no front derailleur. :P
Nice trial
Phil have you ridden Bailey Mountain bike park, if you have I was wondering how they compare in steepness and in technical?
Thoughts on the Helm? What was the travel on the bike in this vid? Thanks!
damn those trails look harder than UCI World Cup Tracks!
im fully excited
TMI!
If English isn't your first language what you said could be interpreted as meaning something completely different than what you wanted to say. :P
I need downhill same like urs but its imposible hehehahaha
You never realize how fast the pros are until you see them ride trails you've ridden. Like on Drop-out, you just take that four foot drop like it's nothing!
these trails look narly but very fun
Going there to watch the Pro GRT Event this weekend. Would I survive with a Pivot mach 429 w 120 in the front and 100 in the rear? Carbon wheels? I am now officially nervous.
Voice cracks are an indicator of true joy
+Maciusz I don't know about that but I was having a blast haha
What were your impression of the Cane Creek Helm fork?
how many years did it take you to get that good. Im really trying to get good like you.
That inside line at 11:58 was wild!
Brent Okada surprisingly, with all the speed you are carrying from the jump, hitting that line is way easier than trying to swing out and hit the smooth section
Sik moto braaap!
