Anji… the beloved housewife… Wait- forget I said anything! Anji is probably one of the most underrated characters at the moment, and he has been quite underrated since the game’s release, despite him being a low tier character for a while. Season 3 was when Anji really started to find more success, as he got his new move and the previous buffs he received all those patches ago. He has good damage, ok mix, ok mobility and he’s quite tanky. But the thing that makes Anji so good is his spin. Being able to just… spin and punish the enemy player for just trying to attack is really powerful. His supers are also quite good with his parry not only being one of the funniest supers in the game, but also a great wake-up reversal, not to mention it can be difficult to punish. I’ve seen some people compare Anji to Slayer and saying that Anji is just a free version and Slayer is the premium version which is kind of funny but also not really that true because while yes, slayer is kind of similar to Anji, they’re still completely different characters as Slayer lacks in defense while Anji is quite strong in that aspect.(ignoring the fact he doesn’t have a DP) Overall Anji is definitely one of the most underrated characters in the game at the moment, while he’s not quite a top tier yet… I feel like one day he’ll creep into being a top tier character…
As an Anji main I gotta disagree with his supers. Yea having a parry super is cool but it's only situational and very baitable. And in my opinion his other super is just straight ass. Doesn't come out instantly, cant be used as get out of jail. I've also had it whiff dozens of times due to how slow it comes out. While the rest of anjis kit is OK, everything he has is insanely reactable. If your opponent has experience against anji or at the bare minimum know what his kit looks like then the fight just got a little harder. While that can be said with any character I feel it rings truer with anji.

Slayer watching tip back from Xrd. Just fast forward until he's not facing the floor. Then you can go back and see how he managed to stop facing the floor, till he's facing the floor again. Since Slayer is facing the floor 90% of the time, this tip can save you 90% of your time watching Slayer videos.
