As someone who lives in Orange County and commutes on the 5 every day, it’s very cool to see someone else drive it. I also loved your consistent and accurate commentary throughout!
Awesome video. I've always wanted to see a complete video of the I-5 through all of Greater LA, and the widened sections of the I-5 are just fantastic. 7:43 - perfect syncronization between the Corolla and the Wrangler changing lanes 😆
It's honestly cool to see a video from the LA region & a bit throught San Diego too. Personally I-5 between the Orange county & San Diego county is one of many great drives throught southern Calfornia. Also, in weather, things has been extremely interesting, 1st off, end of February's storm that I talked more deeply afew weeks ago. The 1st half of March was relatively warm with well-above the freezing point during daytime, reaching sometimes over 10 °C! However, to start off the spring season, Quebec had to deal with another storm, which mostly touched eastern Quebec. Unlike the storm that touched Quebec a few weeks earlier, there were much less power outrages, but however, we had to make a return to the winter time. Yep, sometimes, when the temperature are getting hotter, this is a sign that winter didn't say their last word. This morning much of Quebec was below -10 °C, but fortunately the temperature increased during the day. The good news is that the temperatures should increase once again to the normal temperatures by the end of the weekend.
The freeway videos are in high definition without and blurred lines but anyone traveling in Camarillo wanted to avoid US freeway 101 because there was a driver traveling southbound on the northbound side near the Camarillo springs road exit. The driver traveling southbound on the northbound side didn’t make it out unharmed causing an 11 car collision.
I-5 in L.A. County between the 605 and 710 probably needs some widening. I wonder how's the widening progress today. Also, since Greater L.A. and San Diego County are connected when it comes to MSAs, I wish the 5 is widened between the 405 and 805.
Have you heard Francis Scott Key Bridge that carries Interstate 695 in Baltimore, Maryland collapsed caused by collision of container ship "Dail" early morning at 1:30 AM Eastern time? So far there are unknown deaths and rescuers are still ongoing looking for survivors.
California needs to quit the H.O.V lanes and call them Express Lanes and charge a toll. No E.V. are allowed to ride for free E.V. user's have to pay triple the cost of the toll as I.C.E Vehicle

I’ve waited so long for this video… thanks for covering one of my favorite drives in SoCal!
Almost 100 miles of straight city, with not much traffic! Great video man

6:55 luckily you merged back 😅 BTW nice video! Never get bored of driving on this stretch of I-5!

It certainly has been a pretty mild winter this year. Thanks for the comment.
Between Orange Country and San Diego are my favourites because how wide the highway is and the nature
9:56 that was a typo, shoudl be 605, p.s. what if this was the 60's alignment? since ca-60 has terminuses at I-10 yk?

Great drive! How often do you see "TRAVEL INFO CALL 511" sign?
What day and time is this? Light traffic very rare!
How was it like missing your March 2022 trip to California? You were in the Bay Area, Greater Los Angeles and then to San Diego.
He also visited Las Vegas & Phoenix during that time
@@alexishoude4449, oh, right. It was early spring of 2022 when he visited 3 states.

I saw that, very tragic.
Can you do the Pacific Northwest like Oregon or Washington
There is at least one coming form the Pacific Northwest in a few weeks.

Great drive. Of course, the LA traffic is bad most of the time.

I feel like they should keep hov lanes then once it gets far enough change it to hot lane or express lane
