    I know this is a older video but damn this is a great video, love the use of the actual terminology for each of the parts and education of the marker. Paintball has come such a long way from sanding our hopper feed necks and using duck tape to hold on, to a lever action removable solenoid with swappable mech/electric frames. 10/10 Rory your a beast, thank you for the video 🔥

    Rory, you didn't mention the primary change in the main firing valve ("spool") - it's now got a face seal in the TM40 unit, making it a poppet by design. The AMP and PE GP Cores use the same concept. So, this new drive is effectively a spool-poppet hybrid - the main firing valve (poppet) transferring air to a spool-type bolt guide/bolt. This was originally done by PE to shorten the valve stroke, accommodating the reduced switch ("shuttle") stroke to save on vent losses from the switch chamber. DLX continues to use PE's ideas in order to educate themselves. ;)

      Mic /audio DEFINITELY sounds terrible compared to how normally sounds so its not just you bud. Sounds like they recorded it off my a Samsung S2 mic lol

    Hmm. Not fully sold on that quick swap noid. Also I really only think sound profile is the only selling point if you already own a X

    Does this sync with the vision 4 via Bluetooth. How do you do it. How do you get the gun to do it

    is this a new gun or an upgraded marker?

      "New" gun that is virtually identical to the old gun. Pretty much just changed a frame contour so the new grips wont fit the old gun. Beyond that the mechanical frame is the only actual "new" feature.

      To start the TM40 is named to honor the pro player who now passed away, Tim Montressor (#40)
      Its technically a new gun like the other guy answered it has a 2nd frame to change the gun to a mech model and some other smaller quality of life features that’s supposed to make the gun easier to use

      ICE --> X --> TM40
      It's a new model with some carryover parts/concepts from the previous X model.

    I have been reviewing the TM 40 and CS2 (not the pro because I’ll be using my freak xl barrel) and I’m having a difficult decision… which one is reliable and easier to maintain? Im probably never going to go mechanical so even the luxe x will work.
    Any advice is appreciated.

      Just got a new tm40 and i would avoid the X. Overall reliability has greatly improved especially in crazy temps. The tm40 is also better now that is has a QEV, and not just for Mech play. The QEV improves cycle speed among many other things as well.
      But if you're comparing the CS2 to the TM40 I would pick the CS2 simply because it is going to be hands down more durable. Heavier yes, but also more metal in the places it counts.
      TM40 is still an excellent marker though.

    No clue why anybody would buy this over a Luxe X. Like what's the point?? Interchangeable solenoid and a mechanical option? Lol
