Just ordered mine from NRS in a 7 3/4 for my bigass head. Only hat I’ve found from American in my size I like lol. The rest are sold out of my size but I do like the 6000 Line. Lots of sweet two tones and venteds in that line
I enjoy your videos. I just received my american hat company 50/50 straw today from the best hat store. It is PERFECT. I had to order online and have it shaped and shipped to me. I can't say enough good things. I decided on the 50/50 after watching your video and cowboy cartel. I got the UN crown and CHL brim and it looks amazing. I can't wait until warmer weather to wear it every day. I want to go to the best hat store in May when I'm in Ft Worth for the PBR world finals. Also pretty cool new feature not in my other two AHC hats is the 50/50 has Positive Times written in gold on the sweat band. Cowboy on.

I live in Ohio, and I have never been out west, at least not yet, but of course I plan to. I think that Texas for me, and probably most of the people that watch your videos is like the number one place to want to visit, and or consider living there. Favorite hat hands down. Here in the South West that 5050 is a lifesaver 9 months out of the year, including now as we speak it’s still in the 90’s, and I’m wearing mine. I have you to thank btw for introducing me to that hat in one of your earlier videos 🤠👍🏼

I have a question. I imagine that the holes for ventilation also allow sun beams to shine through like lasers and sun burn you in those spots. Have you experienced anything like this or heard of it? Where would I find one of these hats to purchase online if I wanted one? Also I would like to know your opinion on the resistol quarter horse style straw hat? I seen one recently. Great question. I have never experienced that myself but I’m sure it’s possible if your bald but I think that would be something that happens more with headwear that has perforated holes that are right up on your skin like a ball cap or having been a competitive cyclist a helmet after spending hours in the sun racing but this not seating directly on the top of your head will allow for even sunlight to come through so not so much like a laser but I think overall it does a great job at balancing keeping the sun off and allowing airflow through. I have never seen the Resistol quarter horse in person but I researched it and it looks like it would be a pretty hot hat and I have come to realize that if I’m going to wear a non-perforated straw hat, I rather just wear a light colored felt hat as I have noticed these hats do not provide any ventilation also, it is a really tall crown hat with a 4 inch brim witch very small so not much shade with certain shapes so it is personally not a hat I would recommend, but if it is something you like go for it but I think at the $199 you’re getting a much better quality hat with better features and that will last longer for the same price when buying American. The brim is just wide and relaxed and the crown is a wide cattleman.
