Wow guys! I am absolutely blown away by this video. Your commitment to documenting your travel, the people and places you take time learning about and getting to know and the passion and joy that comes through your videos is a pleasure to watch. I’ve loved following your videos from the beginning! They’re all so diverse and I always look forward to when a new one comes out! Keep it up! Y’all should be very proud of your work.
U guys deserve more sub and views. The vlogs and the quality is amazing. Thank for visiting Ethiopia. I am Eritrea 🇪🇷 tho they are our brothers and sisters.
Sooo good! Liv, our 3 year old daughter, keeps talking about wanting to go to Ethiopia with Martin and Amy! What do you reckon? Good idea? Bad idea? 🤷🏼♂️
@@shimesami from Martin and Amy @adventurecalls of course! 🙂 We were in Kenya with the kids while they were in Ethiopia, just a stones throw away, and our daughter kept going on about wanting to go over to Ethiopia to see the two. 🙌🏻
Ahhh, I love this! Thank you for bringing everyone along on your visit to these amazing places. Fantastic voiceover, flawless editing and big fan of the adventurous hottie on camera. Can't wait for the next one!
Thank you so much. We are just Amy and I so sadly not really much of a team to join 😌

Most fascinating video to watch, and great to see open minded Westerners intermixing with the tribal people. I love and adore doing the same also, as there is always so much to learn !! You also mentioned "Coffee Ritual", with incense burning at the same time. Is that some kind of Spiritual Ritual ? The world needs more people like yourselves, to express and show that fellowship and adoration for humanity. Only in having these characteristics and qualities, can we hope to see "A better World" for ALL !! 🙏🏿
What happened to your Adventures videos ??? I just came across your channel, and looked at your video library, and noticed that your most Recent video upload was 3 years ago .
Thank you so much for showing another culture so different from ours especially their clothing and body ornaments... I love to see their authentic nature💝💝💝
This need to stop 🚫 people kept in this lifestyle for someone else entertainment is cruel ☺️ this practice can only be found in Africa. We need to find a different way to entertain American tourists.🙏🏿
Tribal communities across the world have adopted some tourist aspect as part of their life. Of course that can be seen as a negative. But reality is that they now do depend on tourism especially as their lands have shrunk and hunting has become harder. As a tourist i think it’s extremely important to be respectful and minimize impact as much as possible. We talked to local tribal leaders and they told us that the tourism is extremely important for them.
Amy runs a travel agency where she guides safaris and adventure tours around the world and I run a film studio for a marketing firm creating commercial films. Hopefully we will be doing this full time at some point. You can check out Amy’s page here adventurecalls.us
I love how remote and independent those tribes are. Modern influences can be seen everywhere, but not sure if it's a good thing or not. Metal sheet homes it's far from traditional, but I guess it makes their life easier being more easy to work with when moving and more durable. Sunglasses, t-shirts, plastic bottles and dishes, etc. I guess modernity didn't left any place untouched. What's also interesting are those wife necklaces that are, basically, like divorce-proof wedding rings.
Fantastic! Love it. I was in Addis Ababa last October (2019) to attend a conference. I wanted to go out of AA, but there were some incidents just outside AA, so I was advised not travel. What a pity!
That jewelry worn by those women mst be very heavy ...n I have heard that you have to get permission from the government to go to that Tribes village and government send there police with tourist is it true??
It my but I don't know just I know Ethiopia So Beautiful I'm habasha real it Mazing when I Bake my plan Some you Insha'Allah God Bless all thanks so much lovely time😍
Thanks for sharing your adventure! There is so much in one video that it's a bit overwhelming. You've put in a lot of effort to introduce so much within a short video. Thank you!
Amazing production. Thanks for showing the diversity of Ethiopia. I know you faced many challenges there but you chose to focus on the positive. I also love that you got Arnie to narrate the video. 😂
Ha ha. Danish Arnie, best we could find. Glad you enjoyed it. And yes it’s certainly pretty intense what you come across in some of the tribes but we didn’t feel like it was needed to showcase some of the more heavy subjects. Plenty on that shown elsewhere
Adventure Calls i recently just came back from ethiopia and eritrea and i made a video for it but i felt like i couldve made it visually better so thanks for the inspiration
Adventure Calls yeah its on my channel i dont want it to seem like self promotion its called culture shock due to how the first time in those countries or even outside the us it was definitely a shock to me
We film way more than we need. Always cameras in hand. And when I edit I don’t have a plan for how long it should be, the footage decides that for itself. I want to keep the flow and pace interesting and exciting throughout. You can see a lot more of Amy’s photos on Instagram @amyvankanan
Its cool, professional work. Unfortunately the tribes are influenced by western world. On the caw jumping I saw plenty of flashlights, also I know people ask for money when you take pictures of them. Your work is amazing anyway. Keep traveling
Yeah actually the bull jumping was the only time we felt like there was too many tourists. It was packed. Basically all the tourists in the regions guides got word of the bull jumping ceremony and showed up. Other than that we were lucky and also tried as much as possible to stay away from the closer and more crowded tribes. I’m sure that it will get worse as times goes by. Thanks for the kind words.
I am in ethiopia now. I have not seen a single tourist in the week that I have been here. Though I wish I had made it to the Omo valley. I am thankful that I got to see Lalibella, Bahir Dar and Addis without another tourist in sight. I hope to come back to Ethiopia some day as it is a very magical place.
Really great, but I feel you didnt see a lot more, you left out a lot more,it would be so amazing if you visited and shone light on less known but amazing parts of the country which I hope you will be able to do some day, but cool coverage of mursi and other tribes
Oh this is mostly only the southern part of the country and there are too many amazing and different people, places and cultures you haven't even started to see yet, but that's for showing this part.
I am so stoked to visit Ethiopia after watching this video. I know it’s going to be an eye-opening experience but I am more than ready to embark in this adventure. Thank you so much for sharing this incredible experience.
For the tourist I recommend to visit North Ethiopia and Addis Ababa the rest of Ethiopia are people who aren’t Ethiopians Just people form Other Countries inhabitants in Ethiopia.

No that’s not true. You will be with a guide and they organize the visit and a local translator to communicate between your guide and you.

Very interesting, very enjoyable. Excellent videography. Two week journey compressed into 17 minutes - I wish that it had been much longer.
Yeah it’s always a balance of how long it should be. Just gotta make more I guess :)
