This is huge value and right on time for me. I’m more experienced in options and futures, and just last week finally started paper trading forex and looking for a prop. I had no idea forex prop trading in the U.S was basically synonymous with CFD… it explains so much, and also bursts my bubble 😢

Wow what a video. Over the past week i have been contemplating to learn futures aswell as while doing my research i noticed how price levels are manipulated by both the market maker and the broker which made me think is trading CFD's good for the long term and i came to the same conslusion of starting to learn futures due to price not being manipulated like it is in CFD's. Again great information, love your videos and how informative they are !

if the regulated brokers can give those high leverages as an option to customer ...make them choose their own risk that would be better.....its the leverage that attracts the customers mostly.

Don't you need a liscense to start a hedge fund? You can start a proprietary trading firm (the classical definition not "prop firm") where you only trade your own capital and its not virtual funds

Tbh both sides try to scam us clients LOL , but third party is good to use leverage when you have a skill set ; can easily run it up instead of using a prop firm . That’s my opinion . Why pass 2 challenge phases for free . can use a 1:500 leverage and get a real withdraw , but like I said must have the consistency and skillset . Use unregulated to fund regulated 😂

I was thinking of learning futures as well but I think you have to have a lot of capital in order to trade futures.
Not at all.. Search up micro future contracts, you only need $50 intraday margins with plenty of brokers. So for every $50 in your account you can trade 1 micro futures contract. Also, there are plenty of futures prop firms where you can put up anywhere between $80 a few hundred to get funded.

So as a us citizen our only option is to trade with an offshore brokers because the us won't allow regulated brokers from other countries to provide service over here

@stevemagic5358 you gotta do your research but a couple that I like is 24kmarkets & lqdfx. Now right now is a tricky time to be a trader especially in the us considering the whole metaquotes situation which really sucks. But the ones survive in the wild are the ones who adapt and evolve. So you could go with an offshore broker and use a new trading platform. But personally I like prop firms. Specifically prop firms that use regulated brokers. Such as thinkmarkets or whatever else they may use. I don't trust prop firms with in house brokers. Because of mff and the slip them to hell situation. If they use a third party regulated broker then I feel like it's safer for the trader because then they know that they can't get away with as manipulation as they could as if they ran they own broker. They may even copy your trades or a book you if they think you good enough
@stevemagic5358 24kmarkets and lqdfx seem pretty good. But I'm more into prop firms. If do decide the prop firm route. Or get a trade copier and decide to do both. Just make sure the prop firm is using a regulated broker. Avoid prop firms with in house brokers
@stevemagic5358 the whole metatrader situation is complicating things right now like trading wasn't hard enough. So now we gotta learn new systems. And find new brokers. 24kmarkets use tradelocker. A good alternative. Alot of the prop firms use dxtrade. Which is a web based computer program which you may have to learn if you go the prop firm route without a trade copier
@stevemagic5358 also. I used to use sagefx. Used to be my favorite broker till I switched to prop firms. Not sure how they doing now. Just something I felt I should mention

Not sure why futures aren’t more popular. The margin requirement futures is better than the given leverage of a regulated broker. At least for the indexes.
I think influencers have brought huge attention to CFDs.

Love the video. I'm 100 percent with a regulated broker and I trade right on Trading view. No Mt4 or 5 for me. When I 1st started trading 6 years ago that's all I knew was Unregulated brokers and MT4. Now I would never dump 50K 100K or even 5K in a unregulated broker. They just can not be trusted. Thanks 4 dropping that video i hope it really make people think.
I forgot to mention that TradingView only works with Regulated brokers.

@@abdullahrasheed Watch out for trading directly off tradingview, tick data inside a candle doesnt feel the same. I use Sierra Charts with data feeds directly from CBOT for us30 (YM) contract

I doubt it. If US30’s chart is possibly unregulated, then it is irrelevant. SPY works great with ES as does QQQ with NQ.

If I have a family member in say Jamaica open up an account for me and I trade on his behalf using mt4 would I be able to bypass these nonsensical regulations? Would I have issues with withdrawal? Perhaps he could withdrawal money to his account then send it to me
Gotta talk to your accountant about that one and make sure you can trust your family member. He may not have withdrawal issues, but western Union money wire may not show up 🫣

Topic Suggestion... Don't make too much payout or it could risk them flagging you for something made up to not pay you out.
I was thinking to stop at 12% profit if I get hot. Even if it means I could have made 20% or more. The casinos usually ban the sharks after a while too. Many stories you can dig up of big payouts being denied when the trader violated no rules. TFT refused to pay a trader over $200K all because he didn't want to do an interview.

Futures trading is the way to profitability, mostly if you looking to trade futures prop firms that have cheaper challenges as compared to forex ,pay less and trade big
Their rules suck tho. And price action is price action. I've trader both futures and forex and found no substantial difference in trading them.
I'll continue to trade CFD props as long as they are alive. I'll be trading futures to trade regulated in the US and for long term goals.
The futures props IMO don't measure up to CFD props.
Price action is price action for sure, but for people who want to add order flow to their trading futures would be the way to go.

Honestly, coming from futures, I understand the concept but lack the understanding in how leverage applies to forex, as it seems you never see that language in futures props. As far as trading is concerned, forex price action seems somewhat slower and cleaner imo.
