- I have often wondered about the Rocket and why on earth anyone would have one. Then I rode this one. The perfect antidote to my ride on the ZERO electric motorcycle. This review is in three parts. This is Part 3, Two up, What does Mrs TAYM think of the Rocket?

When I was a boy nearly 70 years ago we lived in Powys and Shropshire. Then you could explore the lanes tthrough the ancestral landscape, picking wild strawberries rose hips and trout in the brooks.
Curlews hovered in the fields and the wind was in the oak trees.
Now when two up on the Roadliner lanes can be found around Albany W Australia, with verge trees half dried grasses and here and there sand drifting from the fields.

Bloody marvellous, to my ears, which are not to be relied upon, it sounds like an old Triumph GT6 (car) with “Peco” back boxes 🤔😂 Gorgeous 👌

Splendiforous review TAYM, it is an outrageous but gorgeous looking bike, the GT would be more suitable for two up with it's more generous seat, Mrs TAYM wanting to take her test so she could ride it says everything, marvelous.....
😊😂😂 I prefer the foot pegs in the mid range. The gt has them out front like the speed master.
When you went for a little ride, I wondered if Mrs All Year Round would still be on the back when you stopped and thankfully she was and hadn't been thrown off the back. Well done! Mrs all Year Round's opinions made much more sense than the cone usually does. The Rocket is very future retro, but it doesn't have a centre stand, so Royal Enfield wins. Then there is how your wallet feels..... and I wouldn't buy one for bank holiday weekends.

What a bike. But hold on I think your letting your heart rule your head. Sit back think about this. I think it would be a good idea to test ride it every weekend for a year to to make sure you like it 😁😁

Excellent review as usual, I have a feeling this one is going to cause a dent in the bank balance and that long short list is about to get shredded. It's a bike I so nearly bought and still hanker after but I bought the ZZR1400 instead. It's another Bloody Marvelous bike, a masterpiece of engineering and a legend in its own right. I'm wondering if Mrs TAYM would prefer the GT with its more padded seat and back rest? It would however need the mid pegs for me, I like my feet to have direct access to the ground.
Spot on with the pegs, must be mid pegs for me😊

if you ever get one of these i dont recommend the official triumph luggage, the side panniers are cheap and nasty the zips break and the magnetic tank bag is so large you cant see the instrument panel. i sent mine back and ended up getting some hepco and becker saddlebags with the "c-bow" frame they are excellent.

Do you think Biggles ( pioneer squadron fighter and air detective) will uncover this plot to replace him? What must he be thinking waiting for you back at the Triumph dealership? Hopefully he will never know that his pillion seat is uncomfortable and that his vibrations tickle Mrs TAYM'S ears and that he has now become known simply as ' the tiger'!!

When you accelerated by that tractor the triumph sounded like the tractor.
Big Heavy bikes don't do anything for me, doesn't matter what make they are sorry,
