I know, i searched for ages and didn't see any good videos so when i got my decat i thought i'd make a proper one. people revving it inside a garage doesn't really show what its like.

Not just a decat. You’re eliminating the primary silencer too, as you know. That’s why it gets so much louder.
the first mod I made to mines! for sure the best you can do to it and way better than expending 500 bucks on an akrapovic that sounds exactly as stock xD
What about this plus the akra? Or any other slip on.
@@manueltorres905For sure you'll get I nice (but loud) sound with that configuration. Its true that Akrapovic gives you a slightly better "low-pitched sound" but I haven't tried that because I am way to happy with just the decat. I don't know wich brand exactly, but there is one (maybe arrow or mivv) that makes the aftermarket exhaust with a resonator. If I was about to expend my money, I will definitively go for that option.
I have the Akra.
It sounds little lower and nicer.
But when you drill out the db killer it sounds brilliant👍🏻

If there was an increase to air the 02 sensor would recognise the lean condition and adjust fuelling a remap would simply refine the fuelling after the decat you do not need a map at all

It is an MPR decat pipe that i bought from tritriplekylie on Instagram, I think she works for the place that manufactures them.

Not yet, its still stock apart from decat and front sprocket. It stalls at junctions sometimes but it doesn't bother me too much.
@@renegade1987 thanks! Good to know. I love this bike but think there’s more to come with airbox and ecu mod. I want smoother pull away and low end torque and I’ve read there’s an extra 1000 rpm to be had too
Yea I've been toying with the idea of the same mods. Might do it in the future. I agree, amazing bike and for the money you can pick one up for these days its a bargain!
@@renegade1987 totes! Paid £3k for mine with low miles and some cool extras and can’t believe how fun and playful it is. Just not at all predictable or dull. Just giggles and a sense of getting away with something... 😋

no the cat itself was pretty heavy so im sure the decat pipe saves weight too.

any power decrease?
Did you have any problems with the ECU after installing the cat delete? I read different things on them saying you have to adjust the mapping on the ECU and other say they just installed it and so far they haven’t had any problems with the bike or the tachometer reading anything. Did you instal the cat delete and that was it? Thank you for the video!
Yes i just installed the cat delete, no ECU remap or anything. The bike runs fine with no pops or bangs, trying to look for a decent air filter to put on it next so will see how it goes.
Renegade awesome thank you! Yeah I’ve been looking at ordering the Competition Werkes cat delete from AOMC and I was wondering if it’s gonna be a hassle to have to do all these extra things to adjust or remap things just because of a cat delete install. Thank you for your response!

I am looking at doing this for my 2020 Husky Vit - any issues with sensors or lights after a fair bit of use ?
No issues to report other than the odd stall when pulling up at junctions.
My check engine light it on on my 21. Loses a bit of low end grunt but it's not snatchy at the lower revs so I'd say it's a keeper. And of course you can hear it here.

The bike has done 8400km, no issues apart from the odd stall. A remap/ecu flash would be a good idea. Nothing else to report, still good fun lol...

@@renegade1987 Rapid Bike Evo will help a lot . And it have auto tune . Powertronic its also good. Check Duke 390 videos . It's a lot about it. Im about to get Duke 390 or Svartpilen and i did good research :)
Do you need any kind of remap?
I didn't get it remapped and it did stall every now and then at lights/junctions. it would probably run better with a remap but it never bothered me that much so I rode it without.

Will that work on the 2020 401
not sure pal as i've not seen the 2020 model up close and don't know if they have changed the exhaust for the new model.

@@mightynagato6909 looks like the 2020 exhaust is routed differently so the 2018 decat won't fit.
2020 header goes under frame and very limited options available.
A 2019 header pipe can be installed on a 2020 which will give you many muffler and link pipe options.
deathrabbit82 what can take the Cat out.. any options there.. I have Leovince Exhaust telling me there in production of making one.. I might just have to wait

@@renegade1987 Thanks I'll check it out. I bought a LeoVance one(not fitted it yet) but it's about half the length and only replaces the cat not the mid box. Approx price?
yea i noticed that the mid box contained a load of packing but this is pretty much straight through now - I paid £90 delivered.

Designed to run without,then one stuck on for Western emissions B/S...going into the 3rd World,remove it,as low grade petrol with ruin an engine WITH a catalytic converter
