1. Provide an honest portrayal of yourself, emphasizing your strengths and weaknesses. Highlight the key elements that have shaped your personal journey. Give relevant illustrations as needed.
2. Contemplate two distinct situations-one where you experienced success and another where you faced failure. Delve into the personal and interpersonal lessons you learned from these instances.
Can you please confirm that the essays in your video are for ISB 2024 intake

The application form shown in the video is for the 2022-23 academic year.
Many B-schools change their essays every year, so the idea behind creating this video series is to make you aware of the different questions these B-schools ask and the way to approach the answers to those. There can be many questions like these but if you know how to approach them, the purpose of the video is achieved. I hope this video helped you think of the right approach.
Now if we see the 1st question, they are asking about your personal journey till this point in time and how your strengths and weaknesses contributed. You can start with some examples of your school days, tell about your personality then and how you gained your strengths with time and tried to minimize the impact of your weaknesses. B-school wants to see how you have evolved your personality since your early days, and how are you portraying yourself as a future leader now.
Similarly in the 2nd question, they want to know about your learnings as an individual and as a team player. You can narrate a success story, your contribution to it, how it improved your personality, how good you worked as a team etc. Similarly narrate a failure story, how you overcame it, how you used your strengths, learnings etc.

Do I need to procude certificatea for awards and activities? What should I put in the details section of award?
Hi,
You don't need to produce any certificates as such but whatever you mention, make sure to keep some proof with you because in case the B-school wants to cross-check by asking any question after shortlisting then you don't find any issue. The idea is that you should mention all the correct things without making up anything. I hope you understand.
In the 'Details of award' section, you can mention in brief - who gave the award, its purpose, and your rank/position.
Example - '1st position in inter-college Math Olympiad' OR 'xxx award from xxx for xxx'

What if someone has not working and have work experience than is it important to put senior email id.
Hi Tanu,
It's mandatory to submit the form with the recommender's details, it's not an optional thing.
Even if you are not working now but you would have worked with someone earlier and so you have to mention his/her details in the application form so that he/she can tell about you in the response to the LOR.
