This has helped me so much! I do graphic design but the vtuber look as puzzled me so much! Thank you for the tutorial! I can debut with a beautiful logo finally!
I can't get enough of that adorable little creature on my screen! This video has been really helpful for me as I start my own VTuber journey. Thanks for sharing!
This VTuber is so cute 🥺🥰 Also I've been looking around for ages for the program used for these types of logos! You're an absolute lifesaver with this tutorial, and I see that your channel has other helpful ones, too! What an angel you are 💕🌸 Thank you thank youuuu
starting up my own twitch channel and i'm getting to my logo design, i always had a vague idea how to do stuff but it's always nice to see the steps in front of me so i really know what i'm doing so thanks!
The logo turned out absolutely adorable!! Thank you so much for the video. I was so sure I'd have to commission my logo out to someone, but this makes me want to try it out myself first!
hi! this tutorial put me in the right direction, but i’m still confused about a lot of things. i think because you’re familiar with clip studio it made the video harder to follow. for example, as i was trying to apply the transformation, i couldnt really see the layer order to make the gradient show up because it was somewhat obscured or not clarified. in the future, would you consider making an updated version of this tutorial? thank you so much for helping the vtuber community succeed heh :3
Ahh i will try! I cut out a lot and speed things up to make the video shorter because i was thinking that people would prefer a shorter video but next time I’ll try to slow down on the details 👍
Yo tysm for making this tutorial. I've been making a lot of assets for my streams but graphic design is one of my weak points LOL. You explained everything really well and I really appreciated that
This helps me sooo much, I've struggled trying to find out how to make logos. Thank you so much for the tutorial! I'm just wondering what canvas size you use to make your logo?
I’m glad it helped you out 💖 I used a really big canvas at around 4600px wide I think I doesn’t need to be that big but using a larger canvas makes up for the fact that the logo won’t be losslessly resize-able like a vector 😅
i love this tutorial! but can you make a version that’s moreso slower and beginner friendly for someone using clipstudio paint for the first time? and of where you find your pngs/extra stuff. im trying to also learn how to do it on ibispaintx as well.
oh my god you taught me a feature i didnt even know clip studio had, i didnt know u could give ur layers borders 😭😭ive been designing logos for non vtuber projects for a while and have been drawing my borders by hand-
aaa i get you i used to just use expand selection area to make borders. I also didnt know about it until a few days before making this video. I saw it being done in speedpaints so I think I mustve asked a couple of artist streamers using csp if they knew how that feature worked haha
7:00 How is it possible to rearrange single letters? I can only move the whole sentence and when i googled it, most answers just said, that it's not possible to curve text. Or do i've to just add every letter as their own text? Apart from that great tutorial. I didn't knew, that outlines are that easy to make. Always did it by hand until now^^
We sadly can’t curve the text path in csp so I rasterized the font layer and just moved everything around individually. I was also mind-blown when i first found out about the auto outline in csp haha.
In csp and most art programs I think you can just hold CTRL and clink the edge of the box after doing Ctrl + T (Transform tool) To put the gradient in the text I use the art program’s clipping group toggle which put the layer on top inside the opaque parts of the bottom layer(in this case the layer with the text) lol Hope this helps. I tried to use the common terms used for the steps and tools i used so you can more easily look it up for whatever software you are using.
I used both but mostly the tablet bc im very familiar with using it while doing most of my work. If you can get good brush assets somewhere you can probably do everything by mouse but for certain specific things you probably need to do it by hand. There’s also the option to use illustrator which in my memory mostly had me using the mouse since I didn’t like the feel of the tablet pen with adobe programs. Im very much reliant on my tablet nowadays for doing most of my art and if you haven’t tried it yet, I definitely recommend saving for one. There are a lot of cheaper brands that work really well. I use XP-Pen products mostly and they’re quite affordable and work great.
idk if I’m doing something wrong, whenever I use the gradient thing and transform it the gradient changes when I move it, it also won’t allow me to shrink it or resize it :(
Does anyone have any tips on how to make the text look iridescent? My vtuber is an iridescent moon corgi and I want the logo to reflect that but I can't for the life of me figure it out
Is Ganyu your favorite character from Genshin and, did you take inspiration from Ganyu design for your avatar? I am trying to make it on my own as an individual, it's a lot of work, your stream overlay tutorials helped me a ton. What tips would you recommend for people like me? I have 0 skill in art, I recently got hold of CSP Pro and practicing drawing with mouse.... Your advice would mean the world to me. I hope you see this commend, but I understand I am late, 2 years too late, as this video was uploaded by you 2 years ago...😓
no, my design was not based off of ganyu. I just wanted a design with tree-like horns and a traditional chinese clothing inspired outfit. I didnt even realise the similarity until it was mentioned to me. I redesigned bc people comparing me to her when this design was just evolved from my own design ;u; I recommend a lot of practice. It might be more difficult to do digital art when you're using a mouse to draw but its possible. You can maybe try sketching things on paper and then scanning and making use of the curve line tool to draw lineart on clip studio and using paint bucket to color things in. There's not a lot I can share tip wise on art thru just this comment section. I am planning to make more art tutorials so but there are some that are already up on my channel but for those i also make use of a tablet so it might not be too helpful. Good luck tho!!!
Im sorry i feel so dumb asking this I can not figure out what you did to make the border around the words able to be painted over i have been trying to follow but you go so fast and i cant see all whats happening so im so lost thank you fi you answer this
@@kaeriruu Also what to do when csp is not adding the Japanese fonts and it says "These files my not be supported or already added" I've already tried a lot of ways and it still does not add the fonts, Please help!
Idk I guess Im stupid but I cant really follow this tutorial, could you maybe remake this going a little more in depth for those of us who have never used clip studio? And also maybe capture the entire window? Its hard to see what you press on/what youre doing while its cropped- if not its okay Ill just keep trying!
This is a really good video. I never knew how good clip studio could be when making a vtuber logo. I made a video of me updating mine mentioning this one, hopefully that is alright, if not I am happy to delete it.
You can actually change the font color by selecting the font and changing the color using the color wheel directly but i find it easier to change the colors later when you are testing the color combinations when you make a new layer on top of the font layer, fill it with one color and use a clipping mask to clip it to the layer under it. Clipping layer mask should be one of the buttons over the layers that looks like two oblongs over each other. Just click it when you have the layer with the filled color selected. I hope this makes sense but if you still need help maybe i can share a screenshot on my discord server.
If you download the font and restart the program and it should be there in think. But otherwise you can also select the font dropdown in the text tab and there should be a “add fonts from files” button.

Use a white base and use an angled stripe of pink, yellow, and blue! Add a shiny stripe in between some!
Question about step 2. Do we have to use Clip Studio, or would something such as Photoshop or GIMP work?
How did you end up rearranging your font? That's the part I'm pretty stuck on but you don't really explain how to do
