Pain in the ear is also different for different baby, some may not feel at all, some may feel a lot. You can keep the ear drops, just in case you need it. Mostly you won't need it according to me. There are many available in the market, and different types, are opted by different pediatrician. It's always better to get the medicine from a doctor, so that it doesn't react negatively. It's the matter of a child. That's why I refrain from suggesting names. You can always contact your pediatrician to get what suits your child.
In my case the Hospital itself handed over the birth certificate at the time of discharge. If this is the case with you as you mentioned, just call the airline and clear this matter. Also apply for a birth certificate as soon as possible.
