    I love Yaesu side of Tokyo station 😄 many shops to browse and eatery is cheaper too. Watching this virtual tokyo station tour and it's surrounding is like a revision for my next trip in 5 months time. Visiting again soon! haha! Great job Rion!

    You could be a guide for small groups(maybe not more than 5 at a time?) & teach people how to get around Japan(especially for first timers). You could show them how to use the train system, where the great food places are & how to order, where is good to explore or even take them to places that they request to see, etc. You could charge per person, per day or make special group or weekly guide rates. I know I would pay(especially if I were a first timer). I don't really care to go on a tour package because you are basically stuck with them all day & can't go on you own to explore. Plus, everything with tours is rush, rush. I'd rather get a personal tour guide to take me to the places I want to go to see without any time constraints.....Just a thought(Keep those awesome videos coming)

    Great Rion, guiding the east, west, south, and north of Tokyo Station. The KITTE building on the 6th floor, the rooftop garden I like it very much😍👍. Wow, west under grand street have Okinawa event 👍! Oazo Building, Maruzen Book Store has 4 levels 🤩! 13:48 ~GaÖ~ 👏! 19:03 wow, the Yakitori bowl must be delicious, with pickled vegetables and miso soup 😋👍, I dare not eat chicken offal🫢. Go to the second floor of Yaesu to enjoy McDonald limited lemonade, watch the scenery, it really is enjoyable A relaxing place. The result of My MBTI 16 personality test is 💁🏻‍♀️Mediator😄!
    Thank you so much for this wonderful video that can help us in our future itinerary around Tokyo Station🤝!

    i went to Tokyo in end May-June23. My first stop was Tokyo station straight from Narita Airport! i wanted to take photo of the front of Tokyo station from Marunouchi side but ended up at a building to the North. (I managed to go to the front!) Then i quickly need to grab dinner and head towards Yaesu side (cos my hotel was at Yaesu - Kyobashi) yes, going from the west side to east side of Tokyo station, and finding restaurant for my late dinner was challenging in the maze esp i was lugging my luggage from airport and wanting to go hotel soon to rest for the night. your video brought back memories and if this video was released before my trip, i perhaps can avoid some "mistakes". haha [PS - i actually found a map/floor directory of Tokyo station before my trip but then..helpful to certain extent only]

    love all your videos but ones like that may really help tourists to get a good impression and be able to plan where to go. may I ask to turn down the music volume just a little (only the one part in the restaurant was too loud for me) I loved to hear whar you talked while eating but that trumpet and piano was a little bit too loud, but if you don't want to make it a little more silent it's okay too because I really enjoy your work. love to mee more in the future, it really makes me happy to see how your channel is growing I hope you have a lot of joy while filming because I do have it while watching. thank you so much for your hard work, lovely greetings from Switzerland😁

    One thing that might get confusing if you're in the basement is that if you follow the signs to get to the bus terminal, that will take you across the Street from Tokyo Station--that's not where you want to be if you are heading to Narita Airport. The 1300 yen Keisei bus going to Narita Airport is actually at Yaesu South Exit of Tokyo Station (near McDonald's) at stop 7. It's about as fast as Narita Express at much lower cost and you don't need to go to basement level 5 to catch Narita Express. The only drawback with that bus is that it is limited to 1 suitcase and a small carry on.

    The building is beautiful. Was it based on the Main Train Terminal in Amsterdam?
    I was so close to visiting and working in Japan at one point. I'm a Motion Capture performer and in late 2015 I was in contact with Capcom about the facial likeness role of Leon for the Resident Evil 2 Remake. I failed to mention I also have a voice acting background, in the end I lost the part and I can't forgive myself for wasting such an opportunity. That would've been a real dream come true to visit Japan. Great video.

    We stayed at that Hotel Metropolitan right beside Tokyo Station on the northern side (Nihombashi Exit). So convenient and the rooms were sooo clean. Great view of the station too. Automated Family Mart on the first floor. For the station itself, it was very very busy during sakura season but so many places to see, whether to eat or shop and so many train lines to take you around Tokyo (and farther places with the Shinkansen). Thanks for the video Rion! Keep up the great work!

    • @emikami1
      @emikami1 Год назад

      Tendon Tenya at Yaechika in video is pretty good. Another option is Marugame Seimen (It's a low cost Udon shop chain). Their tempura is _huge_ . If you prefer, you can just order rice instead of Udon and just pickup the tempura you want (cafeteria style service). It's usually busy enough that the tempura remains crisp. They operate as Marugame Udon in the U.S. in Hawaii, California, and Texas but menu might be a bit different than in Japan and of course it'll costs about 3 times as much (but on the other hand, that still might be reasonable).

    I remember going out and back in a couple of times through thebticket gate on the Yaesu side. I was confused because I didn't understand the difference between the Marunouchi and Yaesu sides. When I tried going back in a third time, the ticket gate refused me. I asked the station attendant for help and she told me I owe money. I know my Suica card had lots of funds so I didn't understand. Anyways, I was resigned to walk around the outside of the station to get to the Marunouchi side. After 15 minutes, I was still on the Yarsu side but I tried another gate. . . and it let me through! I still don't understand what happened.

    Hi Rion 😊Can you please explain the menu prices @18:33 the prices in brackets? Is this a tax that is added on to the price or a different menu option - something extra added to the meal? I have tried to find it but can't get a clear answer. I will be travelling to Japan in Oct/Nov so this kind of information will become important to me. Love the Vids, have been watching for a years and I would love to bump into you when I am over there!!!! 😊 Arigatooo !!!

      @@emikami1 Thanks!!!! this will information will help us when we travel. Is this tax for all things or just food items from a restaurant?

      @@andypandy. The 10% tax applies to nearly everything. A reduced rate of 8% applies to food (excludes alcohol beverage) sold outside of restaurant (mostly grocery at grocery store), medical and sanitary materials, magazine and newspaper subscription.

      @@andypandy. There's also duty free shopping for those living outside of Japan if you purchase something within Japan to be taken with you outside of Japan. There's a 5000 yen minimum purchase per store and you must verify eligibility (visitor stamp on Passport), must take the item outside of Japan within 30 days of purchase, etc. There's a new QR code system in Visit Web Japan that got started to make things easier for duty free shopping but there aren't that many stores that have those readers in place unfortunately.
      The shops within the departure gate area of Tokyo Narita and Tokyo Haneda Airport are in general tax free but with the new requirements, you still have to prove you don't live in Japan. I don't know if the 5000 yen minimum applies there right now.
