- Hi all, Wolf Lord Rho here! (Combating a plague of Nurgle today with a sore throat).
Today we are looking at the events of Horus Lupercal, Alpharius and Jaghatai Kahn confronting Malcador the Sigillite on Terra! That's right, Malcador standing up to THREE Primarchs! Oh yes...

He was the friend who would start shit...and hit the other guy with a chair while the fists just start to fly.
I thought about this alot too. I wonder if he is playing a Judas roll of sorts. he is needed to help Horus along the path of Chaos... maybe by the Emperors will or request? maybe this has always been part of the Emperors plan?
maybe the unnamed primarch was his buddy? maybe he was closer to him then the others?
Not actually Alpharius (he was already killed by Rogal Dorne) it is Omegon, his twin brother.
Anyone who makes it to old age, in a setting where everything wants to kill them, is not the type of person you want as an enemy.

I like the Khan because of events like this. He isn’t sure who is his enemy and who is his friend, so he observes. He isn’t a vain idealist or glory-hound, he just wants to be on the right (less murdery) side.
The Khan is quickly becoming one of my favorite Primarchs.
Between learning more about Corvus, Vulcan, and The Khan, the more I love them all.
Corvus is memed to be this sad emo poetry boy, but he is so human in his interactions with other, basically crying with happiness when big E tells him he has brothers.
Vulcan is just a fucking sweetheart who can go blow to blow with the biggest fucking orcs in the galaxy.
The Khan might be a anti-social dick to most, but he's not drawing blades and from my limited knowledge never just spouts a threat for the feel of it. He takes his time, looks things over, and gives everyone a distant but fair chance at anything.
The Kahn is the only one who isn't still a little child inside and confident in his abilities, hence he roams around the far reaches of the Galaxy unaided, the others still aren't self confident, something Malcador knew, and hence susceptible to corruption.

Three primarchs storm into a semi secret meeting not guarded by Custodes
*100 Custodes come out of the woodwork as soon as shouting is heard*
And that's why nobody can assassinate the Emperor. The Custodes are to the Imperial Palace what ammunition is to an Obliterator. They just manifest where needed.
God knows how many hidden teleportation devices.
What are the opinions as the the power levels where custodes vs primarks are concerned.
There's some evidence that custodes are more physically powerful than primarks.
@@teddyomes
There have been some friendly duels in the lore, but generally primarchs are more powerful, with some limitations. Magnus would probably lose without his psychic powers. Alpharius, alone, would lose.
What is important is, inside the imperial palace, where the custodes know the terrain and it's 10000 vs 1-21 guys? Yeah it's a curbstomp. A squad of 5 could probably take out most primarchs (pre-demon prince status of course) or at least hold them off long enough for reinforcements to get there.
Also, Primarchs are named characters. 1v1 with an unnamed custodes isnt really fair. Constantin Valdor is probably on the same level as Russ, though.
I'm not super informed as to the 1v1 numbers.
But I have heard that the custodes are a plus one on all levels compared to the primarks in some of the various codex manuals concerning the board games.
Being the custodes are the personal bodyguards of the Emperor.
But like I said, my own knowledge is limited concerning the various lore.
@@teddyomes
Oh i know nothing about the actual tabletop 1v1s, but you can probably look it up on 1d4chan. They have stats for ALL primarchvsprimarch combination with statistical averages, so if you look up Constantin or something they're bound to have something to say.

Horus got himself Vader choked and paralysed by Malcador. He couldn't even swing his sword to kill him if he wanted to.
Wish they would reveal Malcador's backstory one day.
Dedrick Howell , Waiting for that with baited breath. If you haven’t already check out the short story “First lord of the Imperium” chock full of Malcodory goodness. (and some neat reveals )
Dedrick Howell No he just paralysed him, that’s all. Choking someone with the psychic might of Malcador is heretical to call it “Vader choked” Malcador could kill Vader with a thought and Horus would just wipe the floor with him, there’s not Vader choking here.
@@Red-cb4ow Hmmmm, that's some extra nerdy analysis my friend.
Dedrick Howell just the way we like it!
I actually disagree. I would like to see more stories with him in it. But I think its better to keep Malcasor's back story similar to the Emperor's. They are too closely linked. Hell, for all we know, Malcador could be a portion of the Emperor's psyche that split off or was cast off as a safety mechanism. If I remember right there is a story where the Emperor tells Guiliman I think, that he has to constantly concentrate on like 20 things at all times, lending credence to the shaman committing ritual suicide and becoming an amalgam of powerful psychic souls called the Emperor.
Malcador would have repainted the room with 2 thin coats of Horus Heresy red if they actually came to blows.
Very underrated comment.
Yoooo
He would of stomped them.
Sometimes I question if it wouldn't have been better to send Malcador to the Vengeful Spirit instead of the Emperor to fight Horus. He would have no pity and no remorse.
Doubtful. He might have been able to down Horus but the other two would have killed him.
To me it feels like this: Horus strolls on in like the swaggering gangland boss he grew up as. Alpharius is the sidekick sheltering in his shadow, hanging around with the cool kid as it were. The Khan is there clearly with some reluctance, because once the Khan decides you are a friend, you are a friend, but he doesn't agree. And Malcador ... he has seen this kind of thing a million times before, he wasn't impressed with it then, and he's not now. You can't bully or intimidate the Sigilite.
More of an, old cantankerous and envious geriatric gets caught scheming in the shadows, throws a temper tantrum when confronted about it. "Dont even say that name" because why? Forces you to confront your own sins for a second?
The primarchs behave in accordance to station, malcador ATTACKS without just cause, repeatedly using psyker abilities on them. The equivalent would be Horus pinning someone to the ground under heel the moment a conversation doesn't go the way he would like, then throttling them. The degree of escalation from the beligerant old coot is the real foreshadowing on why the imperium will fall, sheer arrogance from lesser men (Morally), placed in control of the most important work in their history. Malcador falsely believes himself worthy to govern and rule, but loses his temper faster than diabetic child, typical of a telepath honestly, they have insane control issues.
@@ADRooney1 He only uses his power on Horus when horus is going to speak the name of one fo the lost primarchs. The Emperor ordered them never to do that, and considering the Emperor's previous actions, he probably didn't do that out of sentiment. Not speaking their names is important for some reason, which is probably connected to their disappearance.
Sigmalitte grindset #30killonaremindset
@@ADRooney1 I honestly agree with that perception of Malcador. He was a man soaked in blood and lies. The only being to hold the confidence of the emperor.
I don’t question his loyalty, I do question his motives.
It’s been established that names are important in 40k. A gray knight was able to banish Mortarion back to the warp with the aid of his true name.
If Horus were to speak the true name of whichever brother he was talking about, it could have been a disaster.
Who knows what secrets are behind their purge. Only thing we know for sure is that it seems the emperor himself is dead set on keeping them secret.
Maybe Malcador was trying to save Horus in his egotistical, old ass man type of way
@@ADRooney1+
I'd argue this is mostly nonsense for the following reasons:
1) Maclador specifically stated to Horus it was the Emperor's direct command to not speak their names. Up until Horus went down that road, the Sigilite was incredibly cool, calm and collected despite Horus essentially throwing a tantrum (however justified he might have felt).
2) Horus was accusing Malcador overstepping his authority (which, as Malcador points out, is that of the Emperor himself whenever the Big E is away from Terra) which isn't at all true due to this being the Emperor's own ruling.
3) Malcador is, frankly, the best option to rule Terra and the Imperium as a whole (outside of the Emperor himself) and has proven this over and over again. His mind is impossibly keen for business, logistics, politics, war administration and espionage and he's not at all afraid to do what must be done (including some very morally grey things) in order to ensure the Imperium is kept safe. He's also the guy behind the Guild of Assassins (who he saved countless lives with their intervention before the Inquisition became the bullshit they are today and began commandeering them) the Grey Knights (who speak for themselves) and the Inquisition - before it became way too full of itself. He understands humanity on every level - from the commoner to the highest Lord and even Primarchs and Astartes. He's a sublime judge of character and skilled in psychology and is easily able to recognise when someone is or is not a fit for a certain task. Moreover, I have no doubt that, judging by his appearances and his belief in and adherence to the Emperor's plan, Malcador wouldn't even consider the term "worthiness" concerning himself or any other ruler aside from the Emperor. More like what is most effective insofar as what works out in the Imperium's best interests.
.
This whole scene reads like Horus, bursting in and acting like a petulant child railing at an (admittedly unfortunate) situation that he does not truly understand, threatening Malcador with grand words and a lot of noise in a public and manner - almost making a spectacle out of it. He then proceeds to continue his tantrum when he doesn't get the outcome he wants, pushing the boundaries of Malcador's patience until finally crossing a line by threatening to defy the Emperor's own order. This was the one and only point where Malcador loses his temper and he very quickly puts this arrogant, ignorant child in his place before dismissing the whole thing and letting it go, satisfied he's made his point. Sure the kid storms out in a huff but he also doesn't try to push his luck to that extent again.
.
If you want to still claim the Primarchs are behaving according to their station, remember that Malcador was granted the "station" of Lord Regent and the Emperor's own authority to go along with it - by the Emperor himself. His "station" is above that of the Primarchs in this instance and he acts accordingly.
i do love how the primarchs or at least most of them refer to Malcador as Uncle
i really like that the black library are spinning the whole family arc for the imperial household because it really amps up and adds to the tragedy of the horus heresy. because if all the emperor felt for the primarchs truly was just weapons and the primarchs never saw each other as brothers or Malcador as family or the emperor and Mals never refereed to each other as old friend or brother then it kills investment in the characters.

Either malcador would be executed for it, or 3/4 of the legions would revolt to do it themselves.
@@ADRooney1 very good point. Keep in mind they aren’t alone in this chamber. If Malcador kills Horus, who at this point is a beloved prince and war hero, word will spread very fast.
Malcador was into something when he pointed out the family that was there to see the Primarchs in person, knowing there’s nothing Horus hates more then not living up to the image people have of him. At the very least Horus should’ve found some way to talk to Malcador alone, but that would undermine the drama of confronting him in public. And he was mad. He was very mad, first about the statues and then about Malcador’s attitude towards him and his brothers.
Notice he never actually backed down - he stabbed the table and left. No resolution.
Malcador should’ve reached out later to attempt to make peace but doing so would’ve undermined his authority. Either way, Jr is mad and stuff is being out in motion
@@ADRooney1 Or Horus would simply be expunged from history, and the khan and alpharius would have to swear secrecy or have their memories sealed away.
@@ADRooney1 nothing nefarious about striking down the 2nd and 11th Primarchs plinths. @@randomcenturion7264 I think Malcador was more sympathetic than he let on here. After all, he later tries to talk Lorgar down without a fight at Monarchia. Here he HAS to be ruthless because Horus is about to disobey the Emperor in front of the whole Council of Terra. Do you know the fallout that could cause? It would be political suicide- no one would ever trust the Emperor again to control the Primarchs especially after 2 of them went traitor, and would likely demand their movements be controlled- or execution.
So its either choke him now, or lobotomise/kill them all later. And Malcador has had enough killing. He takes the route that gives them a chance to survive, shores up his street cred AND keeps Horus from making the Emperor angry all in one go. Now that's politics.
@@leomartinez9764 They knew some of them would fall to chaos , probably why they didn't trust them.

Dorn had a hard time believing Malcador, so he gave Dorn a glimpse of what was erased and whatever it was about broke Dorn. Proves the fact Malcador is the most powerful normal human psyker !
That, that moment there when Malcador asserted that the Imperium would be ruled by men not Gods or Post-human Demi-Gods is what set Horus on the Path of Rebellion.
Though remember because of this Erebus was able to manipulate Horus by showing him the some parts of the future were he saw him and other pimarchs getting erased from history .
He thought the emperor would just throw them away after everything was done.
This moment only cemented that fear that they were just tools to be discarded after their use for Horus
What do you think would happen to the primarchs and Astartes after chaos was erased and humanity ascended.
Even Sanguinius was extremely scared to reveal the existence of the black rage and red thirst.
OMG this may be the greatest lore I've ever heard!
The beast mode of malcador has long been a thing of whispered legend amongst a thousand gaming tables and dining rooms. To see just a mere glimpse of Malcadors offensive capability is beyond awesome for me. "I will unmake you, right here and now...". Love this! Keep up the good work sir
Alpharius set this up to gauge Malcador's powers. He knew the petulance of Horus would go too far
I love it when we get to see the Primarchs and their feelings for each other. However much they cared about the Imperium and the Emperor's plan for humanity, they cared about their brothers more. Even Leman Russ, in the moments before the fall of Prospero did not want to execute the order he believed at the time, had come from his father to break Magnus and the Thousand Sons. And when counseled by the Emperor himself on whether or not to have Lorgar and the XVIIth suffer the same fate as the forgotten Primarchs and their Legions, Russ voted against it, saying he had no wish to lose a third brother. I can only wonder how much of an impact this scene played in Horus mind when Erebus showed him visions of a future where the statues of him and eight other primarchs had been removed from the palace and to which extent it convinced him that rebellion was the only solution to see that the Legions were given what he considered their due.

Malcador pushed an entire planet sized moon into the warp with his mind....squashing three Primarchs is absolutely no challenge to him.....its the rage that would control him that would cause problems. i have yet to see him referred to as human.
This encounter over the erasure of the lost primarchs is the key stone that Eribus used to sway Horus after the primarch had been felled by the Anethane blade. Horus's spirit was taken to the time line where he had rebelled and saw that his and his fellow traitor brothers statues were now dust to be tred on by mortal feet. Thier legacy gone as if it never had existed. Horus had already witnessed it once so it was all too easy to believe it could happen again. Even Magnus's words and effort were.too little to late in the warp after Horus had seen the future that denighed him and his brothers and thier legions the honor and glory they had fought for. Malcador and the Emperor bear some of the blame for the heresy to come.
Paul Elder I believe that not all the Primarchs were meant to see the end of the Great Crusade, Emps constantly testing all of them seeing who will be able to carry the burden of their responsibility. The heresy just came early.
I disagree. As Primach Lion El Johnson said, "loyalty is it's own rewards." He had way more character flaws then Horus and treated honor far greater then him. Yet, the Loin stayed loyal.

Or what is Malcador gonna say about rewritting history vs how does his body reactions say he feels about it, does he let slip what he knows about Alpharius' agents in the palace vs what can he confirm possibly about what he believes about Malcadors spies.
It's like Varrrus and Little Finger having a spymaster bromance and Horus doesn't realize he's Cersei. Jaghatai fully realizes this is all bullshit, Horus has been played, but there's important information and philosophical points at stake that he's going to understand before he gets too riled up, and try to stop Horus from playing himself, cause he knows Alpharius will let him go full murderfuck on Malcador just to see what the Sigilite does as a counter.

Malcador the Hero as Emperor Said!!!, He Did Care about all of them,But Sumtime he needs to Put them on the Right Place ,I Love This Channel,Great Work From the Beginning , Emperor Protect and Bless This Channel and you 😎 !!!!,P.S.Keep them coming 😀.
Malcador disagreed with the emperor about portraying himself and the Primarchs as god-like figures when they were uniting mankind as it put the space marines and Primarchs on pedestals that human could never reach.
Horus also saw himself, his brothers and their legions above mankind.
Also the Emperor never intended for himself or his Primarchs to play any active role in the Imperium after the great crusade. They would simply retire.
That’s why, love him o hate him, Guilliman told his Ultramarines that they couldn’t just be soldiers or warriors, he believed when the Crusade was over, his legion would need to contribute to mankind beyond shooting and killing but to add to the culture and art of humanity and their progress.
I love how Horus projects his own perception of himself on malcador in the beginning. Its not the primarchs imperium or the marines imperium its the imperium of man
Is it wrong to ask for a little bit of recognition after everything you have done to serve the Imperium?
Horus is basically asking for the bare minimum here. Would you really be fine if someone asked you to just forget about your brother who fought alongside you?
possibly Malcador knows backdoors in the Primachs' esoteric structure, we know they were created partially with "sorcery"
Kiera Furneaux yes, he was totally referring to that. There's a biological killswitch that Malcador knows
Honestly I think this is it, there's some sort of mental backdoor the Emperor and Malcador know.
Custodian Captain: Lord Regent Malcador, we are here to protect you and assist you with dealing with these primarchs.
Malcador: Respect homie, go dig some graves while I handle them.
Custodian Captain: *Visual confusion*
It really seems like one of the lost Primarchs stumbled upon and was tainted by Chaos. I love that they're still such a mystery in 40k.
surely not, if that were the case surely Lorgar would have been aware of the warp prior to discovering the eye of terror.
Got the feeling the lost primarch’s statue was removed for a failure, perhaps falling in battle? Could be the price of failure that Horus, Alpharius and the Khan felt they had to get answers for as it couls easily happen to them. The name and Glory was everything to the Legions.
@@JohnDoe-gu7eh I have thought about this as well, but I'm still not sure. The Emperor kept a lot of secrets and kept them well. Sometimes even utterly wiping the memories of the Primarchs of the events they had witnessed. Also, most the Primarchs were found by the Emperor and Emperor alone (by this I mean he didn't bring all the other Primarchs along each time one was discovered), so it is possible that the Emp found one of the Primarchs fallen to chaos, killed him, blamed it on something else, and then spread that story. It could be false story where he claimed that a 'genetic' flaw was found and that is also why a large portion of the legionaries where wiped out as well. The 'failure' could then be considered the Emperors. This would then pave the way for the other Primarchs to be like "WTH?!" when they are getting erased and thinking it a huge overreaction, but in truth they wouldn't know the full truth (just my thoughts on how it could be a false story). The Emperor had basically declared war on all religion in the hopes of wiping it from the galaxy to weaken the chaos gods considerably. He most likely wouldn't tell his sons of what really happened if one of their brothers fell to chaos because his ultimate crusade was to erase knowledge of the dark gods entirely so they had less influence and power. So if this did happen, even if Logar knew originally about it, the Emperor probably would do a mind wipe on him, especially given Logar's desire to have religion. Once again I don't know. The failure was big. That's all we know. Big enough for the Big E himself to, at least in the long run, be OK with wiping them from existence. I think if one fell in battle, failed to do a duty, or some other failure, the Emp and Malcador wouldn't go to extremes in destroying everything pertaining to them.
Well, it sounds for sure that Leman Russ helped kill one, and this story makes it sound like all the primarchs were in agreement about it. So I don't know about the Emperor wiping memories in this particular case. My personal theory is that one Primarch had allied himself with Xenos and wouldn't give up his allies and the other fell in battle and the Emperor couldn't have the knowledge that his primarchs could be killed floating around. Bad publicity after all
I don't think it is merely the taint or knowledge of chaos, since most of them are already tainted from when they were taken an scattered by chaos. Might be more delving into chaos worship that might have caused it. I mean one Idea I had is that the legion of the damned is one of the lost/forgotten legions that had delved into using the warp, but maybe also learned to create an use demons/demon vessels, and thru that knowledge even after death came back as daemons/spirits (maybe the emperor bring them back even after he is on the throne.)
I mean imagine with the knowledge the emperor has of chaos, him coming upon a world with one of his children on the world. An as he descends onto the world seeing demons that his son had summoned, people that his son had placed demons into, and how that would affect him. Even the idea of if this same son attacked an used his connection to the emperor against him, which might explain how the emperor might change the end game of the use for the primarchs later on. like going form instead of them being both conquers an lords to rule mankind, to seeing them as too dangerous an so after uniting the empire killing them off.
No primarch can best Malcador. He said i can unmake you here and now...
One of the few that can hold truth to those words.
he lacks the reaction time to do anything if a primarch decides to kill him. he is a psyker and still has human reaction times, an OLD humans reaction times.
Magnus could break him with barely any effort I would say
@@ADRooney1 Bis mind would likely make up for that. He would just No if they were going to strike him. Also he can take a hit as he was backhanded by Lorgar and just brushed it off. Magnus is the only one who’d have a chance against him.
I'd argue that Alfarius isn't interested in honor or legacy. But surprisingly honesty, he devotes all his ssrvents to uncovering the the truth..
That's a great point!

Yes, he does.
Horus: "The name of my brother is------(choking noises)--"
Malcador: " -I find your lack of faith disturbing."
What's the name of his brother?
@@megaman91646 chicka chicka slim shady.
"Ambitious, dishonest men" huh takes one to know one I guess.
Horus was lucky to survive this encounter, he could have easily found his statue join his brother's.
No one is talking about the most interesting thing to me:
That one of the 2 "missing primarchs" apparently was killed, and it was for his failure that he was scrubbed from history.
I just said this. Lol 2 years later!!!! Rangdan xenocides....im betting dollars to doughnuts thats either where the other Primarch died or was dishonored.
It's great to see Horus protest the taking down of the statues of the lost Primarchs. It's obvious that Horus believes that they should still be remembered, and honored. Malcador, on the other hand, clearly makes it known that the Primarchs are no more important than the rest of Humanity. I still believed that the missing brothers never turned against the Emperor, but they may have had information that would have caused the other Primarchs to question their creator, the Emperor.
Salutations Wolf Lord!
Loving the frequency of these vids, however please take care of your voice and adjust your workload accordingly.

*HORUS CONFRONTS MALCADOR*
Im surprised he got named warmaster after this.
Sorry but Malcador was full of shit in this scene!
We've now seen an empire ran by "ordinary men" for over 10000 years. It's nothing more than a stagnant, superstitious, backwards and cruel world! In fact Horus was pretty much proven right. And they still rely on these super men to even survive. After all this, Guilliman had to turn up and whip them into shape!
I feel like Malcador never really trusted the primarchs and despised their bickering.
The secrets that Malcador and the Emperor so zealously protected is what lead to the heresy. I really want there to be a book like the “Last Church” which just has the Emperor and Malcador discussing the future, the warp, the dark age, etc, before the primarchs were born. I believe the both of them were much much more naive than most would like to believe.
One of the recent books in the Dark Imperium series gave a good explanation for why the Emperor kept the warp a secret from humanity.
The warp gains strength from humanity's fears. Imagine if they knew there were real daemons and monsters. People would dwell on it and the warp beings would become even more powerful. By keeping it a secret, he was actually reducing the power of the warp. I still think he should have told his primarchs though.
Was the old man Malcador in The Last Church???
Adrian P no
@@Skerra-kk6sm He should have definitely told the Primarchs. Do you think trying to keep the warp's existence a secret was effective in the long run? I mean humanity was separated from each other for years and Chaos took hold on some planets and then you have Chaos cults springing up on planets controlled by the Imperium. I think he should have taught people about the warp and belittle the Chaos gods, so that people didn't of them as gods but more like extra dimensional creatures that pray on excess. He could have instilled the Imperial truth and used Chaos as a means of promoting a moral compass for humanity.
Horus wants to preserve his brother's memory, malcador wants to destroy unpleasant history. Horus sees this as an omen to the fate of the primarchs when all is done, and malcador only compounds this with further aggravation.
When Horus chokes out “Mal...” is he just trying to ward off Malcador or did the missing Primarch also have name starting with “Mal”? Food for thought.
It's probably that I don't see malcador getting more pissed off at him trying to say his nane
It could be name association that triggers the hell out of the sigilite, The fallen Primarch also being named Malcador or similar, which bruised the sigilites ego and drives him to begin an idiotic child. "people will think of him and me in association through name WAH!!!!"
@@outlawsoasis464 oh sh** years before the heresy it already started lol
What if Horus wasn't trying to say "Malcador" when he was being choked, but instead trying to say his brother's name? Which would mean his brother's name starts with "Mal". And that _could_ be a hint at one of the Lost Primarchs being the origin of the "Fifth Chaos God" Malal/Malice.
could be the 'lost' one..... who went to the warp...the other was killed by Rust.
It's Malcolm. The lost primarch's name is Malcolm.
Love Malcador in the books. This is such a badass scene of him putting *a Primarch* in his place.
He sowed the seeds in that story. Horus really resented mortals ruling the Imperium and that's one of the avenues that Chaos exploited to turn him.
I like to think that Malcador was the real Emperor and Goldenboy is just the prototype Primarch and the figurehead for his Imperium.
The emperor is a human. www.reddit.com/r/40kLore/comments/8ra59x/perturabo_the_hammer_of_olympia_perturabo_is/
Or perturabo at least has a strange kind of warp vision that allows him to see a human version of the emperor. So perhaps he was born human and performed something like what he did wiht the primarchs to enhance himself, or his soul is human. But I'm not sure if Perturabo viewed his brother Primarchs the same way. But he appeared human size to primarch Perturabo.
@@cybertater5236 In Master of Mankind it is made painfully obvious that everyone perceives the Emperor differently - including some that are deluding themselves to be perceiving his "true" form (like Custodians think they are doing - it is shown within a span of a couple of sentences that Emps can appear differently to them as well). All of this is also post-Molech, so take it as you will.
See Malcador is better than me,cuz I would of told Horus ass”well you feeling froggy then jump”. Malcador name needs to be Malcador the one with giant balls.
I feel that this interaction does more for Horus' character and provides stronger motivations than the majority of the books based on his fall.

Primarchs: lets go be badasses
Malcador: hold my beer
Horus believed the missing Primarchs should not be erased from history. It was an error for the Emperor not to reveal his Webway plans to Horus. The Primarchs were created to be the Generals of armies, yet the Emperor never told them what his plans for them was after all the wars would end and peace would come to Humanity. Maybe the Emperor knew all along his Sons would not adjust to peace. Maybe one of the lost Primachs found out and called him out on it. Probably, the other missing Primach found out about the Emperor's BARGAIN with Chaos, which led to their creation, and had to be silenced, or he'd reveal it to the other Primarchs. But, of course, we'll never know.
Tread lightly...

So, if the post-humans cannot rule over men. What about Guilliman's specialty in logistics and statecraft?
To streamline the process. Imagine him like an AI, but with flesh and blood. We go to him with our list of emotional priorities, life liberty and the pursuit of happiness for example, he figures out the best way to make it a thing. He cannot decide for us what is important to us, but he can help in attaining it.
Ab humans are a necessary means to an end, the Imperium is for humans
@@spike.strat1318 primarchs are not abhumans.
1110 1011000 , In the short story” First lord of the Imperium” Malcodor refers to them as abhuman.( he was including the astartes/primarchs) He may have been using the word to describe those “above normal humans” .
I highly recommend it, it’s a different 30k tale that gives a lot of insight into some of the goings on.
@@spike.strat1318 will definitely check it out. I thought about your other comment for like an hour before I decided to disagree with you. Let me state my case, it's some what in line with your clarification.
Abhumans are specifically the human genotypes which have diverged from the definition of human, but not so far as to not be able to have a functional sexual reproductive pool.
Primarchs are not abhumans by this definition because of the way geneseed works. It's applied to existing humans, they dont sexually reproduce, which is one of our defining factors especially in universe.
If primarchs could fuck to reproduce they would fit with the theme of abhumans, but they are definitely ab-human as in abnormally human, but they aren't Abhuman, as in the thing that is probably trademarked.

A very interesting part was the shame tied to the lost primarchs, by Malcador. I'm guessing they denied the Emperor or had turned to Chaos straight away.
