- This is a preview of the DCS: AJS-37 Viggen module for DCS: World by Heatblur Simulations. I document the process I go through to learn an aircraft from scratch with a focus on understanding the systems work, not just performing procedures step by step.

I miss your channel so much .. hadnt realized that three years have passed since this video was posted. Wish you all the best and hope the pandemic doesnt touch you nor your family. I enjoyed hearing your voice on the F-16 training missions ... hopefully you will eventually return to this channel, as it was the best DCS content anywhere .. the younger youtubbers may be flashier at editing, but I'd rather have in-depth content and systems study :)

I was hoping to find some current DCS action, and Bunyup came to mind. Terribly disappointing to see his last video was 3 years ago. I learned so much about the A-10 from him. It will be a good day when next you release another sim tutorial. Looking forward to it.

RB74 = AIM-9L
Also if you carry RB-24J AIM-9P3 on the outer pylons and RB74 on say the body pylons the weapons selector can only select Sidewinders on mass and not a specific type.
So you will have to know the firing order (i think it's left outermost missile then the right outermost missile then left body missile and last right body missile) so if the target is head on you will have to manually press "FRAMSTEGN" twice to select the next-next missile in line which will be an RB74 and you can get a lock and take the shot !

hi just discovered your videos. love them great work. quick questions I'm New to dcs and only own fc3, what would you recommend as a first plane to buy- I'm really into air to air combat and personally love the: mig 21, f5, and the viggen.
hi bunyap. I have a question for you. even though I set my fixes correctly (2 visual overflight fixes before target waypoint), the bk90's hit ahead of target. anything i might be overlooking? Also, does one have to input the target elevation above sea level to the CK or the radar takes care of it?
Also another addition is: The bk90's are accurate when I do an airstart and use the waypoint without radarfixing it. If I try to do a radar fix on the target, they fall ahead of targets. So another question that stems is: Do I reference the circle's center when I TV Fix on a target? or do I reference the center of the crosshair?
I'd greatly appreciate if you could answer my questions and I thank you for the videos you put. They're extremely helpful.

If you mark the target waypoint on the radar that's more accurate as that position has 0 error compared with the aircraft the problem is finding a target on the radar !
AdurianJ i really wonder how much the radar can see from high altitude with high gain, i think if it's not cloudy and you go up to 15,000ft you would be able to see tanks on flat terrain and then dive down to release altitude, however i imagine it will be much easier on nevada map

was thouse the normal RB-75 or the once with a letter after them aswell? cause i cant get hte normal just named RB-75 to do that

Could you share your settings? Do you use any Nvidia inspector settings? Thanks.
hmm do you said the BX waypoints in the mission editor? or does the missile automatically follow them, and can you not launch it using just the radar like the RB-04 just from longer range? Since if you radar is in 60km range mode, then you know you are withing range if the targets are on your radar.
The RB-15F does have a "quick mode", in which case the Bx waypoints are not loaded into the missile and it just flies straight ahead searching for targets, like the quick release for the RB-04 that Bunyap showed here. So if you're just trolling for targets of opportunity, that's probably what you'd use.
You can set/update the Bx waypoint positions using radar fixes if you want to do a more complicated attack. There's also some smarts here, in that if you update the Bx8 position (target position) then all the other RB-15F waypoints are shifted with it. So the standard attack profile would probably have the missile flight path pre-planned, then in the air you'd locate the target and update its position using the radar, and then release the missile. The update can also be done by directly punching in the coordinates (so only one aircraft has to use its radar, or you can get updated position information from another asset).

Doing waypoints on the Rb15 manually isn't too hard, just use the radar to create them.
