- This is a preview of the DCS: AJS-37 Viggen module for DCS: World by Heatblur Simulations. I document the process I go through to learn an aircraft from scratch with a focus on understanding the systems work, not just performing procedures step by step.
A draft copy of the manual may be downloaded here:

Awesome, finally
some real news about this aircraft! FYI, those black plates with white writing
in the cockpit are the QR-guides for different emergencies.
Even though Sweden have the JAS today, even younger people thinks this is a cooler aircraft…
I hope they do a Di (Digital, international) version in the future.
Basically the Viggen is for Sweden “emotionally” what the Avero Vulcan is for the UK, or
the F-14 is in the US.
7 years later and just getting into DCS. Have purchased the Viggen, so hoping these vids are still relevant today. Greetings from Down Under. Cheers Red. 😊
I see a Bunyap video. I first give a thumbs up and then proceed to watch it because I know its quality.
Haha, I do exactly the same ... :)
lol yeah me to, so far I've never regret it
#metoo ;
The coolest plane of my childhood, saw it at the museum in Sweden in the 80s. And of course in the sky.
The way the computer works is very similar to Apollo's, for anyone interested.
Great to have you back flying again Bunyap, looking forward to this series and the release
This was my first watch of a video by you and I'm really impressed. Top notch quality. Very informative.
So it begins! Been wondering if I was going to get to learn the aircraft with Bunyap before release! Very exciting! Thanks Bunyap for your great content!
Very professional presentation (as always from you)! Thanks for that awesome video.
Ok NOW the real hype can begin... #TWOMOREWEEKS!!!!
Let's not jinx it. Lol
Oh it's happening!!
You've been actually right with those 2 weeks xD
Very nice, looking foward to more.
Always great vids. Looking forward to Part 2.
Your videos always cost me $$$$ :) Gr8 job!!
Great video! I am so glad LN lets YOU do those preview vids on the Viggen. Really looking forward to the next one...
Ralfi also has an early version, though ralfi prefers to do full fledged reviews (I think) after trying it out initially, Bunyap just takes us on his exploration journey, both valid and fun vids to come! :)
Thanks, excited for #2!
Just getting into DCS but I cant wait to learn all this stuff. Truly a deep sim!
Upload the next part already ^^ need more Viggen!!!.
Thanks for the great video have been waiting for so long for more In-Depth Videos
on this beast => and i hope you will like it ^^.
I need to be a populär youtube star så i cän gett this örly
Lol same.
The dröm
i knøw yøur fææl
The Flying Gasmask those are norwegian and danish vowels. DANSKJÄVLARRRR!
jeg er ligeglad! jeg elsker stadig Viggen!
Well I have always loved your tutorials but I always watch them after I have learned most of the systems of the modules. This time I am learning along with Bunyap yaay. Just got the Viggen and I am looking forward to learning it with your help. And best of luck with the Normandy Campaign :)
Love, Love LOVE...from Norway!!! Cant wait for 27th of January!
Holy crap this almost slipped unnoticed in my sub feed!!!
Now this is a series I'm looking forward to. Who'd have thought just a few short years ago that we'd have full DCS level modules of aircraft as unique as the Viggen already. Good times.
I have started loving this plane..
wAITING THE second part!! COME ON!!! hahaha TY for the video! big fan here.
Forgot to say...and I have said so on the interweb before, but I got to see 2 Viggens landing on an airfield in northern Sweden back in 1995, when we went there from Norway to live fire some RBS-70s (I was in the Costal Artillery back then - Anti air part of the costal fort at Lødingen Norway - and I didnt know enough about the Viggen to know which type was landing, but I DID KNOW it was the 37 Viggen!).
YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES
I've read the manual 4 times over bunyap and I'm sure you'll like the computer and hud :D
Dude, where are you? We miss your DCS videos! 2.5 is just around the corner and a Harrier series would be awesome too!
Looking good...!
Good stuff! Will buy day 1.
preorder it, atleast a day before it releases, so you dont pay the extra 13$ or 12$
The radar is so cool !
I fly only the A-10.... but i may have to start flying this... also this aircraft looks crazy and i love it.
Yes! Finally!
You certainly know to leave on a cliff hanger :) Thanks
love it
WOW!!! 😍 I love our Swedish Airforce :) 👍👌
sold!
Awsome 8)
Great stuff! Thanks for this vid, although it doesn't really make the waiting for the Viggen any easier...
The cockpit looks so real.....
The thrust reverser is actually deployed when the nose gear strut is compressed, havng the reverser go off if you accidentally touch down with the right main gear first would be ... bad.
The pre-release manual says the reverser is engaged when the right main landing gear is compressed, but will disengage after 1 second if the nose gear is not also compressed, re-engaging once the nose gear is actually down.
looks super smooth! What kind of setup are you running with this?
I noticed your not using the Rift for this video..I have a Rift cv1 as well and I do miss the crisp resolution for reading the instruments.
To the right of our Apollo Guidance Computer we have some....buttons... :)
can you tell me please what you pressed at the radar at the beginning to let it track
What kind of graphical settings do u use ? Visual is amazing... I want to configure the same way....
Bunyap, is that your voice on the ground control for the F5 tiger? It sound like you say " ground air connected" .
right lol. it also sounds like 504smudge did the voice overs for the spit tutorials
I kinda like to think it is Bunyap as my ground crew chief, cause I know I'm in good hands... lol
another awesome video. Is there a link to your game settings anywhere to get that same sexy framerate?
You live near a military base? Awesome!
Viggen was originally designed for carrying a swedish A-bomb to the Sovietunions harbours i the balitics in case of an attempted invasion.
Leatherneck said in their ama that the Viggen Will have a englsih cockpit :)
oh nice, didn't know that. Thanks.
Does the Viggen really throw off that many constant vortices?
How did you do opening a pdf on the game screen? Thanks
Video editing...
i plan i getting this game. ive never played a flight sim only star citizen. does this game have tutorials?
praise the sun
why are there always vortices on the canards
Should we start the petition to DCS to fix the overly modeled vortices now? I noticed it in a semi recent update, couldn't land an A-10C without them showing up no matter what! In this vid, the pilot can't make a gentle left hander without them? It completely ruins the game for me. Great vid otherwise of a fantastic aircraft, thanks for sharing!
pls tell me part two will release today!
scroll up: " It will probably be very late tonight or early tomorrow. I want to do one per day but track replay issues not related to the Viggen are holding me up. Soon though. :) "
Some may not like what I'm about to say:
I'm just glad the Viggen is coming out soon...BECAUSE THAT MEANS F-14 TOMCAT NEXT!!!!
i feel bad for you :(
Really, how??? The Tomcat is going to be amazing. A great plane to be made by a great developer. lol not trying to take away from the Viggen.
Viggen is exactly the same thing, except it's a much more... fascinating aircraft? It strikes a good balance between quirky-ness and capability that very few aircraft in DCS have. (They're either fun to fly and useless in combat or vise versa)
I'm more hyped for it mainly because it's coming in literally two weeks.
To each, his own. they really aren't exactly the same thing btw.
reyco1987
the viggen will be made to the same standard as the tomcat
Where is part2?
Not sure why you call the Viggen a "ground attack aircraft," when it was designed from the beginning as a multirole aircraft (fighter, attack, recon).
jqxok because this particular version of the viggen is a specified ground attack aircraft.
so jealous right now.
Finally I dont have to use my anti-radiation missile to take down ships
*laughs in CIWS and SA-N-15*
RBS15F Surprise Buttsex !
are the vapor trails that easily visible for small movements? O_O that's way tooo much and not realistic
these wrong contrails at the little front wings sucks. also the cockpit gauges are to far away to read them properly.
kubanskiloewe Thank you! The new overly modeled vortices are absolutely KILLING this game for me. The publisher of this vid couldn't even make a gentle left-hander without those freaking vortices showing up! Totally ruins it for me, thanks DCS. Great vid otherwise.
The whole DCS game needs always to use the zoom function !!
Without it you cant find ANY groundtarget or with WW2 Propeller planes no chance to find a airtarget or even your wingman before you will be shot down or luckily see some tracers before.
Now you need the zoom function in the cockpit too :D
Its a problem since they use old LockOn game engine and that sucks....even the new 2.0 NEvada map changes NOTHING in that.....no wonder only a handful people play that !! Complete fail !!
Today?
