This game & the man who made it are specifically the reason why I pre-ordered a Panic Playdate. I bought this game during the PlayDate Catalog's first ever sale just before it ended & I'm glad I did. Honestly, after looking at this $6 game jam packed with content & then after looking at AAAA games like Sulk & Bones or Suicide Squad Kill Rocksteady's Reputation I'm reminded of one of my favorite quotes "Creativity doesn't have a budget". That definitely applies to this game & I'm so glad I picked up both it & the console it's exclusively on.
Reminds me a bit of OctoDad. This is another one of those games where I'm absolutely astounded on how this was achieved on the playdate. This is an absolute visual feast. Fantastic pixelwork!
Lucas Pope has documented a lot of the work that has gone into his games which details how challenging it has been to get things “just right”. Amazing work!
A big part of the fun of Mars After Midnight is just playing it and figuring it out as you go, like you're playing with a toy. this impressions video is kinda like a Described-Video version of that.
Unchecking mirth stops the text from quivering
Aah the big one! So happy it’s finally out. I’m loving it so far.

For the record, that "flying car" is a transistor.
I thought it looked like a seat belt 😅

Switch, xbox and playstation fanboys, eat your heart out.
Gotta be more careful on the poster placement, making sure it’s in the right area (since you missed 1 by accident). Overall, nicely done on the grind!
Already picked this one up and I'm liking it so far 😊
Is this now the second major dev after Keita Takahashi creating something for the playdate?
Bennet Foddy did one in season 1
@@riChchestMat Ah, right.
Im a huge fan of Locus Pope. Absolutely adored Papers, Please but was a little out of water with Obra Dinn. Will I enjoy this game?
1 of the 2 you think you botched should have been correct. For sure the first one you let in was not a dirty pores martian.
Dang man, you're fast!
