  • Some people might think there’s no place for religion at work, but you have protected rights to act on your beliefs. See an example of some do’s and don’ts about what’s acceptable in the office and how to respond when others think differently.

    Keep your faith and NEVER give up or give in to the Agents of the Devil who are working against you. Remember What the Bible says in Ephesians 6: 12
    Put on THE COMPLETE ARMOR OF GOD.
    Their time is very short and your perseverance will be rewarded with Eternal Life in the Presence of The LORD and His Father who is our GOD.
    I love his supervisor.

    As a Catholic Christian within the workplace, I have every right to pray especially during my lunch breaks. I did it once and no one complained towards me. As long I do it discreetly.

    I got the opposite situation. I worked with someone who was pushing religion on me. I said I don’t believe and she responds that I’m going to hell for that. Had a break down right after that happened.

    I believe this is an overwhelming bias movie. To make religious people feel like crap about their beliefs is wrong. To constantly speak of your god and play Christian music all day might make another religious person hate their job. Its all about living together in peace.

    Why do some people have to be obtuse and stupid when they're mocking someone's religious beliefs? It's unacceptable. If someone were to mock my religious beliefs as a Catholic, I be completely angry and annoyed.😡😠.

    why, was he apologizing for being religious? he had it in his cubical.
    it is more important to focus on what he actually said at the water cooler rather than all the ways it could be misconstrued. we are not responsible for other ppls offence when none was intended.

      you don't sound like you want other ppl to have liberty or freedom, that's sad.

    When Ezra Taft Benson served as secretary of agriculture, they always opened cabinet meetings with prayer. So was it good or bad then? Was it pushing religion at work or not? I am confused about these changing policies and adaptations to the world.

    • @leamaughan3170
      @leamaughan3170 5 лет назад +2

      I think there is no way to easily say it's good or bad. I can tell you that I think that it is not pushing religion, because if they were uncomfortable with praying, they could leave. My Cross Country team said a prayer befire every meet, and every time, a teacher said it, but a student was the one to say 'Let's pray now, before the warning shot' or something similar, and the prayer was by no means mandatory, nor was it ever mentioned if someone didn't chose to participate. I personally think it's a wonderful thing to pray befor meetings/games/meets, but others probably think differently, so it's hard to say. You're right, with the changing times, it can be hard to say what is okay and what is not. Just remember the Lord's standards and doctrine will not change over time.

    • @Ether-pb5gb
      @Ether-pb5gb 5 лет назад +1

      people are welcome, i imagine, to observe a moment of silence, vs participation in the prayer. i am sure if somebody was overly offended, they could step outside of the room during the prayer. but he (Benson) refused to take the position UNLESS they prayed. Eisenhower said okie dokie

Oh but if I even mention anything to do with my church or that I don't drink and stuff like that then all of a sudden, I am the one being offensive? Mixed up world. It NOT fair for everyone.

    I work with a woman who's such a fanatic that she's starting to become a problem. I mean, she preaches to employees _and_ customers. We're servers, and right in the middle of lunch rush, she'll stand there at a table preaching to the customers while they're trying to eat. (Sometimes, she'll _even pull a chair up to the table and sit down with them.)_ Meanwhile, she has other customers that she hasn't even greeted yet, or others that have been waiting on food that has been sitting in the window getting cold and hard. The other server and I (there's only 3 of us) _try_ to take care of her customers too, but we have _our own_ to take care of. We've tried telling her that work is not the place for that, but she believes that she's been sent by God to tell them, and she _will_ say what she has to say whether we like it or not.
    The worst thing is... she's _crazy!_ I'm a (non-practicing) Christian, and I believe in the Bible, but this woman believes in some _crazy_ stuff... like God told her to cut her wrists, and aliens with special technology are attacking her mind with evil thoughts. She _feels sorry_ for _ISIS_ because "they've only known fear and hate their whole lives" and she wished that they knew they had a sister over here that loved them. I told her "maybe so, but they'll still cut your head off all the same".
    Because she believes the Bible is flawed and unreliable, she won't listen to any scriptures that I might try to use against her - like when she said that God said that she had the right to judge; and she actually called a customer up because he walked out on part of a bill and pretty much told him he was an unmoral piece of crap. (It was _her_ mistake.) His church had a big Christmas party at our restaurant every year, but they cancelled _this_ year. (She cost my boss _and me_ a lot of money.)
    I'm sorry for the long rant, but this woman is driving me crazy! But I kinda feel sorry for her, and I don't want to get her fired - I just want to make her _stop._

      if she is being employed, she needs to give proper respect to her employer. as a person of faith, we are obligated to share the good news of the gospel, but we can do so respectfully without bringing down the business or customer service.

    It's perfectly fine be religious at work and I agree ☝️ all the way. But what's unacceptable is that when someone mocks a person's religion and laughing 😂 at them. The second unacceptable thing is that pushing religion on others. I think 💭 people need to keep their faith discreet. And people who mock them, need to cut it out.

    As an Anglican Christian this resonated with me on many levels. My workmates either swear or yawn depending on the day whenever I try to bring up the topic of Christ or our place in eternal living.
    But I just can't shut up.
    To me all topics involve Christ at some level, be it unionism,capitalism, environmentalism or even cooking. I just can not separate Christ from anything!
    I must preface my conversations with 'follow the Shepherd not the sheep '.
    On the account of it being so obvious that I am flawed many times over!! 👌

    I remember this past January I emailed my counselor from work a Catholic Church website and at first I thought it was acceptable but it wasn't. Apparently there's a work policy that doesn't allow religion to be applied to others at work. I felt discouraged and if I did it twice then I could get suspended or fired.

    I noticed two sins in this video. The sin of overusing a slider and the sin crossing the 180 degree line on the last shot.
    If this was one of those 24 hour film contests where you had to use a line of dialogue in the film, that line of dialogue would be “You wanna cookie?”

    If someone is speaking disrespectfully about Jesus I will ignore them and ask them to stop. If they don't I will get personal. All this cissy christianity does no good at all. You just get walked all over.
