Oh for sure they over exaggerate things. I do know a few women who absolutely thrive being a traditional wife, but even they would side-eye some of this crap on tik tok. There’s always those apples that embarrass the rest of the orchard lol

Nothing wrong with the desire to be a homemaker wife. ONLY if brother-man is the SOLE breadwinner. If you have to work, cook, clean, and tend to his children....youre a slave not a TRADWIFE!!!!

I grew up in conservative Christian family in a town of nothing but Pentecostals and Mormons. I spent ALL of my childhood and teenage years watching traditional families fall apart. I spent all of my childhood hearing women complaining about their husbands and lifestyle. It is why, even since I was a child, I've wanted to be a working woman. I even played dress up as a business owner as a kid. I've never wanted to depend on anyone because watching their mistakes taught me better.
It's interesting to watch these young women take on this lifestyle. However, as influencers, they are making money, so they are not as traditional as they are portraying. Some of them will learn the hard way.

So if the kids are sick, do both the mother and father call out of work equally?
Am I equally as important to my husband?
Per tradwife doctrine, it's provider only all other duties are for the wife to include waiting in husband hands and feet while simultaneously taking care of the kids and all household duties. Also, in their version of tradwifing their is no equality. They are to be submissive.
How can you keep your sanity when your whole world so rigidly revolves around your husband and kids? Personally, I really don't call that living nor would I want my kids to depend on me so much or grow into such people pleasers.
I think they are lying to be honest because that is not a sustainable lifestyle. That is a breeding ground for resentment, burn out, and other forms of mistreatment.
The woman who said her husband has final decisions on financial decisions doesn't realize how vulnerable she is. How is she a partner is she doesn't get to make decisions?
Her definition of a partner does not involve equality from what I can see.
I don't drive when my husband is going with me either, not because I'm trad but because I'm lazy 😜

My bf wants me to quit my job and get pregnant. He said our relationship or your job. I said no. I watch all my family members who are women struggle because they marry a man who alway left them. I said no i want a pension when im old. He said that I don't trust him. He will never leave me.
A BF should not be making those types of demands. That's number one. Also, the fact that he gave you an ultimatum is a red flag, in my opinion. That sounds like he wants to control the relationship, and making you financially dependent on him will ensure his control.
@@patrececritiques I think im being gaslighted because I said that's an ultimatum. He said no you need to do x by this date. Or I'll do y......I thought about breaking up with him. But it's arranged by my parents an their friends
@bubblebrooke3338 Definitely gaslighting, I can't tell you what to do, but this sounds like it won't age well. Keep your job, and if he leaves, then so be it. Your parents and friends will be fine.
