I think there should have been an option to secretly work against the raiders throughout the quest line. Maybe doing or saying things that would exacerbate the tension between the three gangs until they all turned on each other.
It's a shame Bethesda never went further with this dlc. Diamond City Radio never mention them when you invade the Commonwealth. The Minutemen Castle is never taken. And you can't invade the Institute using the Nuka Raiders.

Every Emperor needs multiple Armies loyal to them and not each other, logistically: the Raiders probably wouldn’t want to take every settlement because they’d have lesser economies to access/Exploit if every place is raider centric without a civilian culture to Balance it. It certainly would’ve made things better but thats how I headcannon my play throughs. My last character was an institute one and I liked building up the commonwealth like Rome; there were Imperial provinces (Raider territories) Senatorial provinces (Minuteman territories) & Federal provinces (Institute territories/Checkpoints) Absolute Power Ruling through 3 factions with automaton fully modded Assaultron/Sentry Provisioners patrolling the territory within all settlements & a working Vault City (88). I was inspired by many characters to create this particular one but the main ones were Palpatine & The Sith Emperor Vitiate/Immortal Emperor Valkorian/Darth Tennebrae
every time i look at these raiders, they remind of that one American Dad episode where they got stuck in Disney World and every Theme Park had its onw Faction
They also remind me of that one Gravity Falls episode where the Pines visit the Golfing Place and they see a bunch of miniature people who had their own factions.
Having Porter's story laid out makes me notice how he is a mirror to Preston, in a way. Both came from very different backgrounds, but both had seen the groups they believe in fall apart due to infighting, and came to the same conclusion: they have to find a leader that unites people to a common cause. With that, I can see how the Raider path can fit into the other faction paths, the same way a Minutemen path does. Still think the Minutemen are canon, though. Can be a presence in the wasteland, while keeping the fate of the other factions vague.
The one thing I hate about nuka-world is that there’s not a lot of raider quest lines in the game, Like it would’ve been cool if you can help each Gangs grow vast amount of power and resources then just giving them certain territories.🐱
Two things it seems you missed. Kidde Kingdom has been inhabited by the original workers up until the current day although most have become feral as all survivors are ghoulifed. And two the disciples did not create the Gauntlet, Colter did, but as Nisha says it was trash and the disciples 'improved' it.
I wiped out the raiders to a man. Took over Nuka World, downloaded a mod that got rid of all raider items and gore, and turned it back into its good old self! Nuka World especially FizzTop Mountain was crazy gory and creepy.
I would've considered to be the Overboss more seriously if they had worked on the dlc as much as they worked on Far Harbor Nuka-World was very bare bones to me, I had no real reason to to become the tyrant they wanted me to be
I really liked the general concept of a gang of people using a old amusement park as a base of operations in a post apocalypse world . Gives me creative ideas of my own
I did most of the story line until they wanted to attack my settlements. After that I talked to the slaves, planmed to free them, then killed every last raider. I understand it takes away from the DLC, but that point in the game I put too much time into my settlement. I couldn't just hand them over. However, it would have been interesting it the raiders of Nukaworld could have planned a bigger part in the commonwealth story.
If it was left out in the open and it had the yeast in it, it will at best be 8% alcohol. Otherwise, the bottled Nuka Cola will probably have coagulated sugar granules in it from settling for 200 years, but that's about it.
The thing that confused me at first when starting Nuka-world is that the Commonwealth already introduced its own raider factions and the gunners. It would've been cool if we could've had more lore of the Triggermen expanded upon or have a gunner questline as all of these different groups clash for control in Nuka-World and the Commonwealth. Even weirder is that the Institute, RR, MM, and BoS make no moves to colonize Nuka-world if you choose to engage in the quest Open Season.
Its because the dlc was made after the original game man. Its pretty much that simple, explains the disconnect tween M.M and BoS having anything to do with Nuka World directly. Or maybe that Gunners have no interest unless they are contracted to do work in there. Or M.M see it as a place just to avoid , unless any of those 3 gangs threaten their M.M settlements directly. And or BoS just see Nuka World as a hive of rag tag degenerates , that are very secondary, next to the current threat of the Institute. I dunno, I haven't played it yet tbh.

Never played Nuka World, I have the DLC, but every time I try playing I remember how there is absolutely no reason for my in game character to become a raider tyrant. It is a very bare bones DLC Bethesda made, in an attempt to give players a chance to be very evil, something that the base game does not really offer, to be fair. Problem is, by being so one sided, it alienates the other part of the fan base..
To be fair, you can just use the "Open Season" quest to kill every single raider there and free the park. But that does cut you off from most of the good rewards...
You can still just pull up, get a goodie-two-shoes quest that goes like this : kill every raider. Get good karma. Sleep well cause you know you did good.
The fiends do drugs for fun then while high commit acts of r*pe m*rder torture etc the disciples are dead sober and just mutilate and torture people if you can listen to someone scream like that sober you’re a different kind of evil

Nuka world wasn't uninhabited after the bombs fell. All of the ghouls in Kiddie Kingdom were former employees. True, most turned feral by the time you arrived, but they were there before the settlers and after the raiders took over. Also, maybe I'm mistaken, but I think the creator of the Gatorclaws was still in Safari Adventure after the bombs. I saw a journal entry implying he was ghoulified and trying to start up the replicator. Not sure if he was devoured by his own creations, fled, or went feral though.
There’s not, it was literally they got given a goal which was take over Nuka-World by Gage and they’d gain benefits if they all came together. That’s essentially it sadly

I feel like the dlc would have been better if you had the option of informing either the brotherhood, institute or the minutemen about the raiders in nuka world and plan an assault on the raiders where you take the different parks for your chosen faction to use as staging areas for a final assault on nuka town usa.
I really like how you can join an actual villain faction Lol , and not just sympathetic villain factions or hero factions , and in my opinion , the most realistic and logical faction , survival of the fittest in a wasteland , the only thing missing now , is real life things happening in fallout , like strengthening the raiders , creating strongholds , raider armies you can take with you, and so on.
I love Nuka World, but I loathe Raiders, the only gang I like are the Operators because they’re more like Mercenaries, the Disciples are disgusting and disturbed, the Pack are just crazy, and believe in Slavery. I like the Operators and take the Pack over the Disciples, I don’t send Raiders to the Commonwealth and keep the DLC incomplete, exploiting a Star Core glitch to get the X-01 set. I feel like Nuka World was part of Bethesda’s response to fans who wanted to side with the Enclave in 3, so they gave us the options of the Institute, Children of Atom in Far Harbour and these Raiders in Nuka World. The Raiders just aren’t as likeable as the afore mentioned factions to me.

Nuka World was easily my favourite all time Fallout DLC. That's probably because I have a bias for abandoned theme parks though.
