Join another team where he thinks, "Now things will be different!" yeah sorry if I don't blame Philly for this one. I do however blame tf out of Philly for choosing Ben Simmons over Jimmy Butler. • @aesirgaming1014
    @aesirgaming1014 Год назад +1

I think Nick is just blind to Embiid's major shortcomings. Boston has the right scheme and right players. They stop him up top, prevent him from getting steam on a cut or drive into the paint. Embiid lacks court vision, so he misses the open man and dribbles into bad jumpers. This is the difference between Embiid and Jokic. You can double Embiid from the far corner and he looks lost and either turns it over or takes a bad shot. If you double Jokic, he makes the read and passes to the uncovered man, which leads to a good look.
The easiest way to fix this is to take the ball out of Embiid's hands. Let him jog/cut into the paint and stand there for passes into the post or paint. It'd be easy to blame coaching here, since there's no reason to be giving Embiid out by the three point line. However, I've seen this with two different coaches, so it makes me think that this is what Embiid wants and the franchise is bending to his wishes. However, I think the team will be much better if they take the ball away from Embiid, put it in the hands of a point guard and run pick and roll and/or passing to Embiid once he's already established a presence in the paint.

Harden is just another Irving. They just want the money, and could care less about winning.
And on Embiid... not every Star player is good enough to carry their team to a Championship. And he's in that boat imo. That's why he's not a Superstar in my eyes. He's just a star. The media toss around the Superstar label far too often in NBA land for my liking.
Jokic has only just proven he is worthy of that label, like Giannis did a few years earlier. They put their teams on their backs, and carried them over the line, despite playing for franchises that had never tasted the ultimate success. Embiid has never shown any of the qualities needed to do that. If he ever wins a Championship, I feel it would likely be as a No.2 player on a roster. Getting carried across the line by their real Superstar player.

Joel embiid without a doubt is a great player and yes a a superstar in MVP, BUT unless he is willing to change his game and learn to utilize his Talents as a dominating Big Man in paint, like "THE BOARD of DIRECTORS". Jokic for the Denver Nuggets is a prime example as to the development & adjustments that Joel Embiid needs to work on, for his game to get to another level, then he will begin to see real Greatest. Positioning himself with the option of past or shoot and dominating in every way just like jokic did 🤔👍

lifetime sixers fan.....embiid might possibly be the unluckiest player ever.....has had a different roster nearly every year. two #1 draft picks were complete busts. front office trading away mikal and jimmy (and okafor just being incompetent in general). kawhi shot was luckiest in history, whoever won that series wins the chip since GSW was hella injured....now the playoff series against C's was admittingly embarrassing but overall embiid has been subject quite a bit of factors outside his control. I love harden (fellow southpaw), hes my 3rd fav player ever but he has had more prolific teammates than embiid

4:34 “when you look at the specific instances” this is gold coming off the last segment and even yesterday where they bashed Harden for leaving and “running” from competition and the grind from each team, when each instance there was a valid reason.

Embiid in the most important games from 2019 to date
    2019 v Raptors
They're down 3 to 2, and what does their best player do?
Game 6 - must win game that they win, but Shrinkbiid makes another appearance.
    FG - 5/14
    3pt - 2/3
    FT - 5/7
    TO's - 5 (game high)
Game 7, must win game. Chokebiid rears his head.
    FG - 6/18
    3pt - 1/6
    FT - 8/9
    TO's - 4
    2020 v Boston
They're 2 nil down and must respond. With two home games coming up, what does their best player do?
    Game 3
    FG - 7/20
    3pt - 2/5
    FT - 14/16
    TO's - 4 (game high)
    Plus/Minus - neg 18
    Game 4
    FG - 8/18
    3pt - 1/5
    FT - 13/18
    TO's - 4 (team high)
    Plus/Minus - neg 8
    2021 v Atlanta
They're down 2 to 3 in the series.
Game 6 - in a high pressure game they actually win, he stinks it up.
    FG - 9/24
    3pt - 1/4
    FT - 3/4
    TO's - 8 (clear game high)
    Plus/Minus - neg 1
Game 7, in a game they must win, he again stinks it up.
    FG - 11/21
    3pt - 2/5
    FT - 7/10
    TO's - 8 (clear game high)
    Plus/Minus - neg 2
    2022 vs the Heat
Series tied at 2 all. Two huge games coming up.
Game 5, must win game. Shrinkbiid goes in to his shell
    FG - 7/12
    3pt - 0/1
    FT - 3/3
    TO's - 2
    Plus/Minus - neg 29
Game 6, must win game. Chokebiid returns
    FG - 7/24
    3pt - 2/8
    FT - 4/4
    TO's - 2
    Plus/Minus - neg 6
    2023 vs Celtics
They're 3 to 2 up. Two games to close it out. What does the "MVP" do?
Game 6, close it out, surely?
    FG - 9/19
    3pt - 0/2
    FT - 8/8
    TO's - 4
    Plus/Minus - neg 4
Game 7, must win obviously. Surely he won't choke yet again, surely it's the game he lives up to the hype in a big game. Nah.
    FG - 5/18
    3pt - 0/4
    FT - 5/6
    TO's - 4
    Plus/Minus - neg 28
So in summary, in the final two games of knockout series from 2019 to date he's been:
    FG - 74/188 @ 39.36%
    3pt - 11/43 @ 25.58%
    FT - 72/90
    TO's - 45

Is Embiid a great playoff player? No, actually he is one of the worst, he has the biggest overall BPM drop from regular season to playoffs in the last 10 years. Is Embiid a good leader? Of course not, his speech in front of media after 76ers lost in the playoffs, was always irresponsible. Does Embiid has enough basketball IQ? No, because all he talked about after he lost this year is trying to improve his ball-handling, as a big center... Overall, despite the drama and problems on Harden, Simmons themselves, Embiid himself is a problem as well, and he will never be your best player of a team to win the title, I can guarantee that now.

“I don’t care about the pressure that everybody puts on me. All I care about is the pressure that I put on myself to win, People have been talking about who has the most pressure to win. People want to mention me. I’m not at the top of that list. I’m not a two-time MVP, I’ve never made first-team All-NBA, I’ve never won anything. So why is there pressure on me to do something when there are guys that have won two MVPs, a bunch of MVPs and haven’t done anything either?” --Joel Embiid
