I was taught that you use mirror images after heroism has been pulled because it's a snapshot spell so by using them during heroism they gain additional speed aswell. That would mean that if you summon them prior to the fight they deal less damage overall.
Hello Der Diskuator! Sadly, Mirror Images do not Snapshot. The only spell you wanna snapshot is Evocation on last second of Heroism. If you don't need Mirror Images to dump your threat in combat they are best used before pull so you don't waste GCD later. :)
I know your just out here giving helpful tips for mages. But the XT tip to block the debuffs off early might help your personal gains. But it just makes another debuff go out soon so if your going to block it do it last sec to mitigate the explosion dmg from the gravity.
Nah, there's no reason to wait for gravity bomb. You can Ice block it off as soon as you're out of range. There is no healer benefit or raid benefit to keep it on you longer as they're timed regardless on CD and by that Im talking about the fact of having it on a dps is more of a pain than to have it off and depending on tantrum time id rather Ice block it off quickly. He wont throw one out during tantrum or near its cast. I also heal and again, would rather a dps get it off asap.
on yogg you can avoid turning around to avoid his cast with fast camera turns. You just have to face him when you start casting a spell and when the spell fires off. In between (ie during the spell channels) you can use your mouse to camera turn back from him while still casting and turn back to face him when the channel comes to an end

and top dps on general is a fire mage.... so arcane is not the choice again. Open up with MI and CDs and you wont pull threat as you can invs that threat off when youre running out of the buff. if you're going to tell people information at least do your on research and make sure its right
There’s a single parse that’s better and fire is highly RNG based, unless you’re full BIS geared arcane is absolutely the play on Vezax. Statically you’ll always do better as arcane unless you’re cheesing the fuck out of it just to parse as fire
@@hedvathegamer Top dps on General for a mage is a fire mage at 20.07k as off today vs an arcane 18.6k. On avg it might be better but doesnt mean its the right call if youre actually good at mage
@@codycarmean380 Well you are right that number 1 Fire dmg is higher over number 1 Arcane dmg. But it has nothing to do with being good or bad its just extreme variance of fire. Even if you play it absolutly perfectly, Fire will be most of the time behind Arcane and you are just fishing for the unique pulls when proc RNG will be extremely favorable for you. :)
on razorscale you can just out range the knock up... and youre making a guide about mage but playing arcane??? The tip should be play fire on every fight. its out performing arcane at this point by a good amount.

There are a lot of fights where arcane is better and if you don't have a ret pally your raid will want your 3% damage buff
Fire is only better if you have bis gear, you should be playing arcane until you get gear for fire
