    Hi all. Just jumping on after watching your video. My wife loves ponchos. She's been interested in purchasing a waterproof one for some time. We live in the UK by the way. So we'll find out just how waterproof the Jack Stillman is. Enjoy the sun you guys. Bye for now...

    Not made in Australia. Website states they're made in Vietnam. Bloody good quality though and I love mine. Paired with the optional hood it keeps my core dry in the heaviest downpour. Highly recommended.

    Grea video.
    I've just been through your previous videos on a wide range of subjects.

      I came out in 84, after 12 year's in the army. Joined WAPOL in 85, just in the process of retirement at 66 years old.
      I'm an old fart nowadays, aches and pains all over.
      Great to know though, that there's someone in WA, I can follow in relation to one of my favourite subjects and past times.
      I just purchase the ODC small candle lantern you showed some time ago.

    Hi did you decided to keep the poncho. I brought the swagman roll by helikon tex , have to say I prefer my dry as bone coat over it. The roll gets used as a kid's sleeping bag or blanket and not that much. Be interested to hear how waterproof and warm the jack stillman one is.

      its warm on the move it doesn't have a hood so a hat helps keep you dry it needs a belt to keep the sides under control in wind if wearing a pack with a belt problem sorted regards Mike

      It’s earned a permanent place in my car 🚗 it can do a variety of things from ground cloth to shade to a rain 🌧 and wind 🌬 barrier

    Would you recommend this for a motorcyclist? In regards to rain or riding in poor weather either rain or cold?

    • @kisbushcraftdownunder
      @kisbushcraftdownunder  Год назад +1

      No for riding it would be flapping like mad to much fabric even when walking in the wind 🌬 I put a belt around the middle so it doesn’t flap open

    Unfinished leather. Needs oil and edge burnishing I believe.
