Some acro is used in ballet, but not like what Brooke and McKenzie used. The only one of those girls with actual ballet potential was Chloe. She has the build and for for it. Maddie is too short in the legs for ballet and wouldn't look right.
If u ask me she wanted certain people to have more a chance?

RoseDiamond 413 Back when they were little kids. These days Chloe would be cut after a first round. Her physicality is not of a dancer. Very little turnout, shoulders to broad and her neck is too short etc.

I enjoy it, but most kids are doing strictly audition pieces that have been choreographed to determine wether or not they’ll make it into a program I enjoy watching dances just not audition pieces because they’re normally choreographed just with certain criteria

Mackenzie is so funny
I love the fact that Maddi got some critique about some very real technical issues that she always had. Plus the fact that she is always performing and never really dancing. She was known to rush through a lot of her movements instead of actually feeling the feelings of the song she was always very performative and I’m glad that they called her out for her issues.

The makeup is not important its your talent
in some dance auditions heavy makeup like that is actually prohibited. Usually it's because they don't want to give the impression that a girl can win on her looks.
Lena Caplinger that’s how it was for our tumbling auditions. We were told if we could to wear makeup but it had to be natural tho

It’s about be classy and elegant though. On stage people admire natural beauties that have beautiful technique. The makeup makes it seem amateur or kiddish
