In fact, there is a unique meaning if we talk about the greek in the Bible, a special meaning which is not found in the ancient texts like the Odyssey. Being Southern Baptist most of my life and then pagan for a time. Having the Holy Spirit felt back on Good Friday of this year. The Lord has called me back home. I just couldn't go back to being Baptist. Protestantism is too lacking for me (Not knocking of anyone of that Denomination). So I am in the midst of Catechism of The Roman Catholic Church. Finding out that my Great great grandparents were Eastern Greek Catholic. Now Byzantine rite, style, and culture just feels up lifting to me. Unfortunately Orthodox is very little in my area. (Only 3 churches and they're bit of a drive from where I live). So pray for me in my journey in the Catholic Church.

It really hurt because it was basically slap to Christianity not like we need mosque as we have 90k of them already and yet still people do what activism pray on streets even in here istanbul. So quran basically self destructive book if you read bible. But muslims neither read quran nor bible so they just fall lies of imams that know what they doing and lead people to hell.

Listening to this I imagine the legionaries of the eastern roman empire. Singing this marching into battle against the empire enemies, asking god for help and glorifing his name. The priests giving benediction to the troops before the battle. Young soldiers anxious besides grizzled veterans, facing the enemy before being ordered to advance. The standard with the cross carried high at the head of each cohort.

One thing that the Orthodox Church has over other denominations is that you can truly feel how Eastern it is.

Being Southern Baptist most of my life and then pagan for a time. Having the Holy Spirit felt back on Good Friday of this year. The Lord has called me back home. I just couldn't go back to being Baptist. Protestantism is too lacking for me (Not knocking of anyone of that Denomination). So I am in the midst of Catechism of The Roman Catholic Church. Finding out that my Great great grandparents were Eastern Greek Catholic. Now Byzantine rite, style, and culture just feels up lifting to me. Unfortunately Orthodox is very little in my area. (Only 3 churches and they're bit of a drive from where I live). So pray for me in my journey in the Catholic Church.
