  • Rotator cuff tear treatment has not changed much in the past 100+ years.
Treatment has always focused on taking medications for shoulder pain, having an injection if it gets too painful, and then having surgery if the pain persists.
The main changes that we have more recently seen are stronger pain medications and more precise surgeries.
Exercises for treatment of a rotator cuff tear have not been updated. They're mostly the same exercises that have been passed down to the next generation of healthcare professionals as they go through training.
But we know that it is possible to naturally heal a rotator cuff tendon by focusing on treating the root of the problem.
In this video, Dr. David shares with you the "Top 7 Treatments To Avoid For A Torn Rotator Cuff" and the reasons to avoid each treatment.

Thank you for your advice. My PT had me do some of those exercises you mentioned. Makes me mad that they’re doing more harm than good! I feel they were just trying to rush me through the process!!

..youre a 1000% correct..dont do anything painful or rotating to a bad rotator cuff... light stretching or light weights with MINIMAL movements.. done correctly,,doing something LIGHT is better than doing nothing..
but doing something bad is worse than doing nothing.. be careful

Yep found that out doing exercises and stretching thru pain makes it go backwards and could tear it I see! Proper exercises and patience is the one with no pain. I’m glad u put this video up! ❤️

I had physical therapy for 7 weeks, twice a week. The rotation exercises is all I was doing. Once they sent me home with the exercises I stopped doing them. I knew it didn’t make sense that it was causing more burn in the area and more shaking.

What exercises can you do to strengthen your rotor cup when you don't have a torn rotator cuff?
This question has nothing to do with a rotor cuff. Do you have any exercises or suggestions on helping a vagus nerve? I have had heart palpitations for many years because of the vagus nerve one thing I find that helps it is I laugh and it activates the nerve in the back of the throat. I have had a bad neck for many years and wonder if it is being pinched meaning the vagus nerve.
