    THIS VIDEO GIVES A FEW TIPS ON REPLACING THE KNOCK SENSOR (OBD2 CODE P032). THE JOB IS NOT THAT DIFFICULT (3/10) IF YOU DO IT THIS WAY AND REMOVE IT FROM UNDERNEATH USING A WRENCH. IF YOU REMOVE THE ENTIRE INTAKE MANIFOLD TO DO THIS FROM THE TOP, THE JOB IS MUCH MUCH HARDER (7.5/10 AT LEAST!)...

    Dude you’re awesome. Just watched your video and I was able to swap out my knock sensor in just a couple minutes. Can’t believe the regular way of doing it consists of removing a million parts. I guess that’s how the dealer makes their money. They charge by the hour and so that would be a hefty bill. Thanks again for sharing.

    I got a P0324 code on my scanner and turns out I needed a new knock sensor. Was looking for a tutorial on how to do it and almost all of them was telling me I had to remove the intake manifold. Lol good thing I came across this video ! Good work my G

    I want to thank you again this video saved me so much money & hassle, nobody could figure out what was wrong because it wasn't showing a code, one of the bracket bolts was loose causing a false knock detection. I replaced the faulty/partially grounded sensor then also added a smaller washer between sensor & block which also improved torque & acceleration significantly especially for a 1.6L engine, there appears to be a lot of performance to be gained from an ECU remap for this particular car model

    Im going to tackle this task soon. I've read that the sensor can be checked for a certain ohm reading. should I be checking the sensor before removing something that could possibly be good?

    • @vanpocalypse3529
      @vanpocalypse3529  Год назад

      I think you would have to remove it to test it anyway.. if you are getting that code, I would just replace it; it's not that expensive.. it worked for me.

    • @neiliewheeliebin
      @neiliewheeliebin 5 месяцев назад +1

      There shouldn't be any ohm reading between pins or to brass sensor surface, if there is it's faulty. This only applies to this particular sensor

    how did you get that top right e10 bolt so that the bracket can come off im stuck at there and my extentions are to long

    • @vanpocalypse3529
      @vanpocalypse3529  4 месяца назад

      I used an extension like 6" long.. it was probably the hardest part.. did you ever get it?

    2014 - P0325, P0324, P0300, P0420, Wont start. The person tryying to sell me car said they replaced sensor. But says it will just crank and not start

      Obviously needs some more work then if it won't start.. I wouldn't buy that until I find out what the exact issue is.

    Will a bad knock sensor keep the engine from cranking up? Our car ran hot for a short time due to a hose coming off. After reconnecting it the engine will not crank and I’m getting the PO 324 code

    Matthew 6:19-21 NKJV
    "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; [20] but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. [21] For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
