I know every popular anime has its own toxic fandoms and i am not here dissing epic super saiyan transformation but for me Gear 5 has been best transformation over super saiyan cause it has meaning n it has its own essence. You’ll know if you have watched one piece and seen progress by progress transitions of luffy’s gear n it is also very unique transformation and Luffys gear 5 is related to joyboy, who is the epitome of joyful, cheerful n free spirited boy just his power. Super saiyan is great but it seems very boring afterwards like just to transform Goku has to scream over n over again and it becomes irritating later on.

80% of transformations are better written then SSJ. It's legit just a basic power up with a mid ahh appearance change. But calling them more iconic is ridiculous
