Diana is super Britney oh right I understand. Thanks for explaining that. But it's kinda dissapointing that as a society we have become accustomed to the negativity in comment sections and social media.. obviously everyone should be able to express their opinions but it does sometimes seem unnecessary.. it's a shame.

Oh I am SO happy to see this "place tasting" vid! I asked awhile ago if you would be doing more but you are always overrun with buzzing bees in the comments-me included LOL! I know we must send things for you to do it also. I have been looking around and wracking my silly brain to find some things. I have one special something coming and one I hope I can still get-but boy its not easy! Trying to find cultural or area specific foods for a person who has "eaten" damn near the whole world on camera! LOL! Not gonna give up tho lady Emmy! I want to contribute as I enjoy your vids way too much to not help make sure you never run out of material! Again-roflol😍!
Love you Emmy. I hope you and your fam-especially those darling little boys,I have 2 grandsons 18 and 15 and my 14 yr old granddaughter, have a GLORIOUS Mothers Day! Sorry this is such a jumbled crazy mess; I got no sleep last night like s dummy. Binge watching Zoo on Netflix.😕😴💐👩👨👦👦Thankyou! So nice to see this on us moms special day!

As a Mississippian, MSU grad, and father of MSU grads, I want to say "Thank You!" for this video. I'm a long-time fan of your channel, and it makes me so proud that you enjoyed some of our native foods. For so long, Mississippi has been the target of derision and ridicule because of its heritage and its history. The state I know, however, is a place of culture, diversity, and charm. Thanks, Emmy! You rock!

Muscadine and hybrids are grown for wine in Florida: regular wine-grape vines die from Pierce's disease quickly. The taste: matter of opinion. Some people says there's a strong note of wet-dog aroma.
Palmetto honey from north Florida is great: sort of spicy. Not sure I could assemble a package of Florida goodies...

I’m from the coast of Mississippi. Mississippi State is where I plan on continuing my degree. Soo much fun seeing what you thought of some stuff I’ve never even tried since the coast is a little more touristy than the rest of Mississippi.

I didnt know about the sweet potatoes, very interesting to learn. Growing up on Maryland's eastern shore, I remember everyone saying the best sweet corn was from Caroline County, Maryland. Now that I've moved away, I can say that that was very true!

*Collective cringe from Southerners as Emmy mispronounces "Muscadine"*
I literally gasped very loud when she said it. 😂

MMMM Muscadine...takes me back. I loved when my grandma made muscadine jelly. We loved the juice too. We have a winery here in Arkansas that makes muscadine wine.

This is so great, hope to see more States tasted. Being so far away, although we know differently, sometimes get the feeling the USA is one big macdonalds place where everything is the same everywhere. As said, we know this is not true, but so great to see the state or area specific things.

I really love this series. How cool would it be if you could actually go to the places and try the food in person? Maybe even have a local guide. Someone to show you the city’s most iconic eateries.

I'm surprised with all those jelly's she didn't send you any pepper jelly! If you ever go to a party/church function in MS I can guarantee there will be pepper jelly served over a block of cream cheese.

In Corinth, MS, we are renowned for our "slugburgers". They (unlike the name might imply) have nothing to do with garden slugs, instead they are more like a slug nickel or fake nickel. They have a certain amount of meat in them but also have a majority of filler due to originating during a time in the South where we had to stretch many major supplies like meat. It seems everyone has their own recipe for them but most result in beef based patty with a decidedly crisper consistency than a standard hamburger. The resulting sandwich once dressed with Duke's mayo, lettuce, tomato, and cheese is a local favorite. We even have a Slugburger Festival coming up in July of this year.

One thing I've always wondered is how Emmy's pantry/fridge looks like lol!! Like it must be FULL of all these exotic little wonders from different places. I think she certainly keeps most of this stuff, if not, gives it to family and neighbors, but like I wonder what her sons and husband think about it haha!! I know my family would not care for half the things she eats and receives and would most certainly not like them in the food storage lol! I just think it's a funny thought that they'd look in the pantry and see like canned brains or alligator meat in the fridge 🤭 Love you Emmy ♡ I only wish I had enough storage and friends to try all these yummy finds too!
