Nice clean look, would have been nice to see more of the build process, but it came out really nice. Good skills on two wheels too. Very impressive. 💪👍
My brother in law gave me one of these years ago for free and I never new what I wanted to do with it (already had two other bikes...). Just last week I started thinking hey, a scrambler could be fun. Just watched this for inspiration on building the GS500 into a scrambler, yours looks awesome man! thanks for the video!
Love the build. I’m buying on 09 gs500f with only 3,000 miles off my good buddy for only 1600 and I plan on building her into a fun city scrambler that’s I can ride around on the country side roads by my house and to ride it to and from work come spring. Perfect little light fun bike that has enough pep for what I need it for. I’m never buying a crotch rocket again lol, so uncomfortable and I’ve experienced that speed enough times. I’m excited for my build. I will hopefully be making a RUclips series on it.
I had a 07 gs500f and a 95 gs500e plastics were a bit rough so I took off the cowel, rear spring, headlight, fairings, gas tank, forks, and rims and replaced them with the 95 and painted it all gloss black except the engine, exhaust, and rims which I left silver. I also got a smaller exhaust and I swear I dropped at least 50lbs on the bike lol it turns on a dime and goes ever so slightly faster.
Will GS500 frame hold up to this? That was what I remember being their weak spot to look at in used market, where the twin bars meet at bolts in the front. Otherwise, cool idea and I wish Suzuki would come out with some new ideas like this straight from factory. In the US, they aren't doing much. The GSX250 sucks whereas the VStrom 250 sold elsewhere looks good. Only the SV650 seems like a homerun and they hit that a long time ago - need more. My old Bandit 400 seems to be better than most of their current product lineup and it was made in 93/94! Come back Suzuki!
Think I count 14T front sprocket and what size rear sprocket did you use? Stock size tires or did you get a slightly different size? Would love to just see a list of all the parts you used and prices paid.
@@steveo132465 i don't remember anymore, but i have two more gs builds coming up with same sprockets, i just cut the frames from them. maybe i even post a vid.
yes good tool ! and a real "scrambler" that doesn't like doing off roading trips as all those moderns scramblers ! maybe with an another set of suspensions, the fork is always off in the (small) whoops !! I bet that will be a real every scamble machine just if you change the fork...
To heavy for a scrambler, I think. A two fifty would be more suitable for me. I loved the old Enduro I believe it came out late 70s early 80s super bike ideal for dirt, high up feet nearly of the ground loved it. Bring them back maybe they have, I've been away from bike's for many year's so I don't know the scean now. I'm late coming back into bike's, I'm 60 this year's. I still own a small runaround just to keep me reminded of what I'm missing. 👊☘️🏍️
Hello , im planning something similar to that , what size and type of tires are you running . Im only finding a 120 /90/17 for the front and the stock is 110 70. Just wondering the handeling difference on the road .. Thanks . And that bike is awesome.
i think rear is 130/90-17 or something like that. front, i don't remember, maybe 110 or 120. i have to say front looks very much like offroad tyre, but it's also surprisingly smooth on road. And exhaust is stock headers and z1000 stock muffler cat removed.
The GS500 is a good beginners bike. But we used to do wheelies on Honda 50's, nearly 60 years ago. Just for fun as we all had big English, Japanese or Italian bikes. But to see a 50cc step-tru on its back wheel amazed people, an so easy to do too. So doing it on a tuned 500 twin is no great feat an not something for a Thumb Nail unless Click Bait. Grow up.
Sorry my english... but are you disappointed that you didn't find honda 50's on a gs500 thumbnail ? I'm sure you can find lots of honda 50's thumbnails on youtube if you type honda 50 on the search. I hope this helps.
Came for the bike, gave like for the skills
A scrambler conversion that actually holds up in the dirt. Awesome job dude 👍

A very nice bike build, and well filmed.
The stunt rider is incredible.
Had me LOFL
Very nicely made video. What a bike. Oh, and great riding!
Great looking bike and awesome parking lot session!
Best GS500 Scrambler i have seen so far! 💪🏼😎👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Love the double pipe and clean look
Looks great (the z1000 exhaust was a nice touch), great riding skills.
Excellent. Thanks for uploading.
Came here from GSTwins!
I love the paint job on the tank!
Amazing Video man...10/10 !
That gs looks damn beautiful 👍
Bought one of these for $500 today to flip. This video makes me want to keep it lol
Would love to see more of the process, especially with the back half of the bike and it’s tail
Really like your build!!, Nice to see a proper seat hoop instead of a strip of 3mm flt bar stick welded onto the old rails👍👍
Wow. Long time I didnt se videos like this. Like and subscribed. Cant wait for more videos 👍
Awesome work men, Congrats!
Wow awesome build 👏👍😁😎

Amazing build / video and riding. I turned mine into a street fighter but it's not nearly as cool. 10
What tyres were you driving? Insane :)
Amazing end result! I'll work on my GS500E this winter too! Could you tell me which tires you got there?
Wspaniały popis i projekt 😁😁 gratuluję
Nice work and great job thrashing the new knobbies:)
I wonder if a better off-road fork could be sourced from a small bore Mx-er?
Super, what kind of mechanical mods you have done?

sorry, has been too long time, hard to remember. I usually go for -1 in the front and maybe from 0 to +3 on the rear. list of parts also forgotten.
Buena moto y buen piloto
Amazing!!
Do you have a list of what front fork you used? And the tires and rims you used??

This bike is currently for sale and I'm really thinking about buying it
Just bout a 02 gs500 yesterday bout to do this
Well done...what kind a ⚙ gears set up on your bike for power wheelie? Thxs in advance
front sprocket is the smallest i could find on ebay. I'm not sure but i think -2

And , what did you do for the exhaust ?
That sounds great
Hi Pal great built , what exhaust you use on the bike
did you have to fix the carburetor jets?
And more videos like this please.

Good rider…what’s your sprockets at front and rear?

Very nice build, good riding too. What speedo/tach brand and model? I also recently built a custom and need something simple like that.

Hey there, what's the name/model of that exhaust with the dual tips?
Amazing
Что за выхлопная труба? ( what is the name of the exhaust pipe?)

Exelente piloto si es . Por q la gs es una moto demaciado pesada y muy baja para mí no es como para trocha
