- Suzuki GS500 Scrambler Build Timelapse - Shoogly Shed Motors Episode 39
Well folks, this is it! The final instalment of my Suzuki GS500 build.
In this episode, I've put together a montage of all the previous episodes in the series to create one "start to finish" clip of the entire build process - 6 months in to less than 15 minutes!
Enjoy! Авто/Мото
What a thorough build. Had a couple of these whilst i still lived near Inverness. such good fun on the twisty road up there.
It's always very nice to relax and watch someone working.
You should become a boss!
@@dnh3005 this statement shows you have necer had a managers position. I dont, and I am yet to meet any other manager, who has less obligations or less hours of work, than any regular employee.
I am not much for Scrambler builds, but you did a great job. Love that you went as far as stitching your own seat. Great work!
Respect for your job 💪👏 Well done and great bike🏍️ Greetings from Poland 😃
Cool build!! Also, thanks for the inspirational timelapse video!
Welding with a north face shell jacket,💪. Proper geezer 😂. Great build mate
Nice job with the bike!
SUPER COOL JOB MEN ..... GREETINGS FROM PERU SOUTH AMERICA
Great film and a really nice looking bike.
Congratulation!! From Argentina.
fantastic job
One word, perfection!!!!!
One of the best looking gs500 I have ever seen hands down. What a nice build.
Am Amazing job man Greetings from Colombia
Big Compliments. Not only the building process but also the video editing. Really nice to watch. I think my favorite part is that you saved an engine most people would just trow in the bin.
Thanks man! 🙏
Sick colors
Es macht mir Spaß junge Menschen mit so einer Leidenschaft für altes Metall bei der Arbeit zu sehen!!!
Vielen Dank!
That's art 👌
I’m so amazed!
Great job, I watched every episode on how you built the bike and it inspired me to rebuild my GS500 too.😁
Nice one! Thank you!
I have those exact tires, glad to know the front fender will clear them!
Good work. I'm excited
Awesome, I've just follow your work and man, you're format and content are very great. Greeting from México ALV 🌮
Wow super very very nice GS bobber i Love it
this is awesome
Nice job!❤
I like it. Nice job.
I want to build the same. I started last Sunday after the moto gp race.
Have a good one
beautiful
Bravo, interesting video to see... Congrats !
Followed all the series through the single videos. This time lapse in the non plus to this job. Bravo!
Very nice indeed.
I had to dash to the end to see what it looked like,
but I'll try to watch your hard work another time.
What a lovely sounding engine (when you'd finished with it).
This the best GS I've ever seen and the fact that you built it from scratch, is amazing. "Brelliant" video, well done!
Thanks mate! That means a lot!!
Amazing, simply amazing. The entire video was perfect. Congratulations from Brazil.
Appreciate you NOT cutting the smash you nose scene 🤣
Also, nice build
Best! very relax lounge video, nice building
This was actually super relaxing 😂 Class to see it all fly back together like that too. Really shows the massive amount of work that went in.
Haha! Thanks man - glad you enjoyed it! Makes it all seem so simple... alas it is not...
@@ShooglyShedMotors Haha nah I was watching it grimacing(but also weirdly excited) at what lay ahead of me. People who've attempted anything like it know how much work was in there
But it'll all come right in the end! Small chunks dude, small chunks!!
@@ShooglyShedMotors Looking forward to getting back to it now :)
Nice bro its profect 👏 👌
Well done! You ended up with a really nice bike!!!
1 min in and I like your video already…
You smack yourself clean in the face and still show it where others would edit it out.
I appreciate the honesty in that!
I'm glad it was worth it 😂 thank you mate
@@ShooglyShedMotors just catching up on your videos now!
You got a new subscriber!
(And it’s nice to see a Scottish you tuber doing bike stuff)
My Respect!
I love the scrambler look and am an hour away from buying an 02 gs500🤔 you might’ve just inspired my new project
Fine build. I'm looking at modern GS500 videos to post as reactions to people who seem to not realize that midsize parallel twins are not new at Suzuki and that the new 776cc twin isn't "copying everyine else".
That was class mate av just bought 1 of these. The guy who I bought it off has done quite a lot of work to it lol cafe racer she is now and I love it. There good little engines these gs 500s had mine 2 weeks put 1000 miles on it can't keep off it 👍. Nice video mate certainly a subscriber now!. Peace ✌ and love brother 🙏.
Fantastik work bro! She is looks and sound pretty damn good now :D
Great build! I luv watching this stuff. Orange is usually my favorite color but man is it bright on that bike. It grows on you over time I guess. 😂🙃
You are a master, son!
Love it. I really didn’t want to tear her down to the Frame because she’s already clean but dude that orange frame is so sick. And inspiring me to have to paint my frame. I’m buying an 09 with only 4000 miles from my buddy for super cheap and I am totally building her into a fun lightweight scrambler to ride around the 2 lane 50mph woodsy roads and commute to and from work in the spring.
How is it going?
Very nice 👍
You make it look easy. Great job, I love the way it turned out.
Very nice!!!
I saw all the episodes in 2 days. It's really nice to watch the bike update Hope for more videos of building a bike or something else
The amount of work is insane, its 14 minutes video but I'd guess that's more like 140 hours job, amazing :)
Nice bike, great job, you can be proud of yourself
Awesome work! ✌🏍👏👏
Great video, and an interesting series. You're very talented, even the finish on the tank etc is quality work, esp as it appears to have come out of a can! I found your channel by chance and really glad I did. Being honest about your work, present it well, showing issues and solutions, even smacking yourself in the snoz!! (sorry, did make me chuckle - been there, done that too) makes for believable and credible work. I'm just about to start on a similar project, but mating a GS motor to a different frame and I'm kind of inspired to video blog it as well, but don't have the editing skills really. Thank you for putting in the time to make a great channel. Rgds Stormrider in Devon.
This is sick! Just one advice, remove the airbox and get an K&N airfilter. This way you can move the battery more to the front and get a nice empty space under the seat 🙌🏻
And then never get the bike to run properly ever again! 🙄 😂
Awesome work sir. I like bike. Love the orange frame.
This is some top tier stuff man
very beautiful ... congratulations! hugs from Brazil🇧🇷
that was super dope man!!! mad editing skillzzz
I spy the Eaglesham moors in opening credits 👍🏼
Beautyfull 😍🥰
Sencillamente espectacular excelente trabajó. Mis respetos
Congratulations for your project. It's perfect. I m going to try it about my gs500
Parabéns exelente trabalho 😀👍👍👏👏👏
Świetna robota,z przyjemnością obejrzałem film, sam mam gs w oryginale a taka wersja byłaby spełnieniem marzeń. Dziękuję.
Can’t argue with results it’s beautiful. Now if only their was a mod/ way to make the gs fuel injected lol it’d be hard to pass up.
good job
Good clean build brother. I've always wondered, how effective are those sideview mirrors? I might change mine to those as well for the look. Also, I feel bad for busting out laughing at the engine-to-nose boop.
Beau projet, bravo à toi 👍
awesome job! I wish I had more time wrench as well, but I always decide to ride instead :D
Great job guys but you could have made the backend a little more rounded instead of just squared off and the colours a little bit bright all you have to do now is learn-to-ride it great job guys love it.
Thank you for making my day with a big smile...( oh a burst ma fukin nose ) hahahaha
Such a nice build and great to see another one saved from the scrapheap. Well done! All i miss is your logo somewhere on the bike... after all... it is a one and only shoogly original👍
Ah, well there's something in the pipeline about that... just ironing out the details..!
Bravissimo io possiedo una Suzuki gs 500 mi piace molto, ma la tua è meravigliosa, complimenti bravissimo.
Just sat and watched it all while imagining it was my GS500 you were working on, vid ended but my GS500 hasn't changed, sigh.
Great work dude, so much I want to do the same especially the stripping down and rebuilding properly, maybe a little out of my league in the gearbox side though, engine I can do, and it sounds perfect with that exhaust note.
Thanks mate! Gear box is super simple - why not teach yourself like I did??
@@ShooglyShedMotors I am self taught around the engine side, replaced a couple clutches before but never gone inside, didn't think I would need to, I have started stripping the bike as I want to change the frame colour, that orange you did on yours looks great with the black engine etc, I'm even more motivated after seeing yours, so I may test the gearbox stripdown but not until my Haynes manual gets here just incase lol, and I have an Er-5 to do after so will have plenty of practice.
That was relaxing, and awesome build. I was surprised to see that you only have 738 subscribers when I subscribed to your channel, keep up the good work ! You deserve a lot more
And seeing you proud of your build and loving the sound of the bike gave me a smile, that's what I want to see when I'm looking at motorcycle videos
@@Quentin-vq9oz Thank you, that means a lot!
perfect.... :)
I don't have much to say other than BLOODY MARVELOUS MATE if I were you I would be totally over the moon with this build, it is a stunning bike, and YOU made it, it is yours, there is no other like it! Fanfookintasticles! :-)
Haha! Thanks mate! And like I've said before, thanks for all the support and encouragement throughout the process!
@@ShooglyShedMotors absolutely my pleasure mate
Cara ficou irado!! Top mesmo. Eu adoro cor laranja e preto, tenho uma Drag star xvs 650 customizada também na mesma cor.
good job broth...

hola desde Ecuador
haces un trabajo muy bueno
me gusto bastante como la dejaste
suerte y excitos en tus proyectos futuros
Piękny, jest moc
I am really not a fan of the of the GS500 design, but you actually made it look decent thats impressive.
I am contemplating my next project. Either I am taking a medium sized adventurebike like a transalp/dominator and changing the plastics for cruiser metal parts. Or I am taking a medium sized cruiser like Honda Shadow or Suzuki Savage and putting Protaper bars and plastic fenders on it.
Either way I am putting milkcrate saddlebags on it as a finishing touch.
Bravissimo 👊🏼😝
Bayıldım ya laa,, tebrikler dostum çok yeteneklisin
Wow
Beautiful results. Definitely work on those welding skills before tackling anything majorly structural.
its perfect
Súper!.
good build now to ride and see what falls off :P in my case the front sprocket and the swing arm came loose haha
Superbe travaille
Je vien moi moi-même d'acquérir une gs500 que j'aimerais transformer en scrambler, je crois que je vais vous piqué quelques idées.

Great video man! Love that transition at 4:31! I hope you get to put a ton of miles on this thing!
Haha! In 1 crash-zoom I skip over about 4 hours of grinding and sanding 😅
Thanks man!!
