Got all my bolts soaking in PB blaster and broke them a little so they wouldn't be so hard to remove. Now all i'm waiting for is the convertor, belt, and 02 sensors to come in. Excellent presentation. I've replaced the manifold/pre-cat on my s005 Nissan Altima twice already due to the out shell developing cracks and leaking. Now I am having the same issue once again with the third one that has been on the car for about seven years now. This time I am going to remove it and braze the crack to seal it.

This is the first video I’m checking out (just starting my research) because a mechanic I was talking to said the studder in my (06) Altima may be caused by blockage in the catalytic converter. He told me they usually get gunked up and all you typically have to do is take them off and break up the gunk, shake it out and it should blow the rest out and start breathing. Does this sound correct to you…? Also, MD mechanic? (Born and raised outside of Baltimore)
