Lol, dude died from white guilt
Exactly.
Yooo omg 😂😂
He was too straight for this show
Oh boy, here we go 🤦♂️
Yeah why can’t every protagonist just be a white person!!! I love bigotry!!
he literally died of cringe
That music video she made has enough cringe in it to make someone commit suicide.
I almost did in episode 3 with that the power of 🥴🤢🤮 song
LOL!
Dude took the poison because he doesn’t want to be a part of the show anymore.
He's been waiting a long time too 😂😊
Lol 😂😂😂
Is that a red pill 💊 moment
He killed himself because he felt guilty for being the only white jedi master
The Jedi HR told him times were changing aha
His hairline did him in long before the poison.
I would drink poison too if I was on this show.
Best comment! 😂😂😂
Word 😂
This show is POISON! They’re poisining young fans with this GARBAGE.
The actor who plays this Jedi is Dean Charles Chapman (who played Tommen on Game of Thrones). He seems pretty young to be a Jedi Master.
I guess that's why they gave him the beard to make him look older.
Or perhaps he was one of those child prodigy types.
He got a receding hairline. He don’t look that young lol
The prosthetics looks really off. He's supposed to be older than middle age, but still looks young. The overall effect doesn't gel.
He looks nothing like Tormund Giantsbane.
He’s got his DEI and Alphabet card punched. He’s a master Bater
Dude blocked all her attacks just to kill himself in the end lol
what was the point.
Excactly
After ep3 this makes no sense at all. Mae was responsible for the burning of the village. Mae is also a sociopath. Torbin has nothing to feel guilty about, and Mae has no right to want justice, or revenge.
We didn't see everything that happened in the flashback episode and it was painfully obvious. I don't know how people don't get that what we saw was Osha's perspective of the events. In the last scene of Ep3 we see that Torbin's face is all messed up and bloodied and Kelnacca is nowhere to be seen. Something happened off-screen. There were clues about it too: we saw sparks in the main generator early in the episode and then it exploded in the end. The witches all died in the same room and it wasn't from the fire, except Mother Aniseya who died alone in a different room.
The fire spread entirely too fast and the sequence almost felt like a dream. My bet is that we had a clue in Ep2 when Qimir said "Don't wipe my memory or whatever it is you do." I think what we saw was Osha's altered memory that the Jedi implanted or something like that.
Also in the trailers we've seen Kelnacca fighting Torbin and Sol and that didn't happen this episode. We'll probably see those events from another perspective later on.
@@JayL- As someone who knows how dogshit the writers are for this show, I'm pretty sure just from reading comments and the few scenes I've seen that the big "twist" will be the same twist every show/movie with twins has. That Osha is Mae and Mae is Osha. Mae's memory was altered, and Osha got hers back and it ended up driving her insane or at least is driving her to go get revenge for the deaths the jedi caused.
@@hrothgarnogarsounds unnecessarily complicated don't you think? I doubt they are taking such route, I hope
@@JayL- I still don't understand what he has to feel guilty about. They exterminated the filth from the galaxy. Whatever reason the Jedi had to wipe the witches out it was completely justified.
@@JayL-You’re expecting the people who are critical of this show to have any sort of intelligence.
That easy to kill after can't get through a force field.... Hey drink this poison for me? Yeah ok
If you were in the show called Acolyte I would've done the same.
See's vial of poison on the ground*
Immediately inhales it 🤦♂
Wow that so-called “crime” she was talking about really wasn’t a crime not like burning down your home and killing your family.
Actually, watch the episode again. It's missing quite a few details which I suspect will be revealed
If he wanted to die so bad, why did he defend himself from her wire- fu earier.
Because.. reasons? Stop being misogynistic.
I think it was implied that he wasn’t trying to defend himself on purpose. That force bubble was a side effect of his Jedi “vow of silence”/extreme meditation practice
It’s because the show is made by idiots and re Wait I can’t say that in the RUclips comment section
He wasnt aware of his surroundings but in a coma like state or someshit
@@NitpickingNerd So the notion of suicide by poison awakened him? That's still garbage.
I thought Jedi Masters were super hard to kill
Exactly. That's why he killed himself duh
He was… she only ‘killed’ him by his choice.
Who woulda thought you could just ask a Jedi to kill themself and they would 😂
Dude just went “guess I’ll die” meme
Lol this guy pick many roles where he dies
where he dies by killing himself lmao, especially as tommen in GoT
Isn't this intended for children? What kind of example is this setting to the younger audience that bare a weight of regret? The answer is suicide? What on earth is going on with this IP? Have they completely lost it?
Nope. This is not a kids show
Did any one else notice how emotionless the acting is. Master Torbin and Osha feel like they didn't experience anything. No hint of regret or sadness from Torbin and no shock, sadness, or fear from Osha when she discovered Torbin's body. It makes this scene hard to enjoy or be intrigued because the characters feel disconnected from what is going on and I feel the same way.
So this loser Jedi was granted the rank of master, yet Anakin was denied?
Just remember Coleman Trebor and a sociopath by nature like Pong Krell (someone who, in my opinion, was even more evil than Anakin. At least when Anakin became Vader, he still held respect for his troops and officers when they earned it, Pong Krell was just a sadistic racist scumbag with zero regard for the troops and deliberately killed them for sport) both were granted the rank of master and Anakin didn´t.
Outrageous
"why would master turbine kill himself" is the equivalent to
"why would Disney ruin themself with constantly making bad shows, refusing to change"
I still don't get this...He just drinks it willingly? Why?
coz he is white
That's the point: we don't know. So if you're desperate to know why, well, that is the point. That is how the mystery and and intrigue grow more and more
That was stupid to drink that poison
If you live like an animal, and nothing besides survival matters, then yes
@@Sedobreev overdosed on white guilt. This show is activist garbage
Facts 🤣👏🏾
I mean he willingly took it due to guilt. Whatever he and the other Jedi did must've been really bad for him end his life like that.
@@brennensanchez7692 what about redemption? A jedi master wouldnt have killed himself. This show sucks
His only crime in the past was to marry Margaery Tyrell.
Yeah good question:
"Why would Master Torbin kill himself?"
Disney can you give me an anwser?
She got bodies now
lol
Jesus, they’re killing off Jedi so fast, wtf
Is it just me or or does that beard look fake?
Torbin committed to the ultimate virtue signal. I dont get it.
Also what I don't get is why the Jedi took a huge detour around the temple, while the girl who has no clue where she's going got to the chamber before everyone else, even ahead of the actual Jedi guide who lives there.
And besides this ridiculously dumb scene, why did they make Torbin look so weird and ugly for no reason? They gave him a bald toupée to a very young actor for some reason and a weird beard that does not suit him at all.
they made him overdose on white guilt. These people are stealing from investors at this point to promote their agenda. They clearly have AI help with the storyline.
That's actually a valid point
I wonder if Mae and Osha are a Diad.
No one cares
Has anyone noticed that the Sith's helmet and scare on Torbin face reflect upon eachother. His head is even shaped like the Sith helmet.
I really liked what we saw of Torbin
overdosed on white guilt. this show is garbage
Huh. What did you like exactly
@@SirClerihew I sensed much sarcasm from the original poster 😆
@@SirClerihew I just think the Barash Vow is an interesting concept. Torbin seemed like a good dude in the flashbacks as well. But…there isn’t much else good to say about the flashbacks lol. That was bad. I guess Sol was pretty nice too.
His gripping performance and the deceptively subtle Oscar worthy line delivery before taking the poison. He also picked up the bottle in a way that suggests he’s a method actor and spent 6 months in isolation drinking from small bottles. So good! Lesbian hedloon knows how to pick ‘em!
I can't after Jedi Torbin. That was the most anti-Star Wars thing to have in Star Wars. No hope, no real redemption, no do! Just drink some end juice. No way. sorry! The metaphor is strong and rotten in this one!
Yes, people, he took the poison willingly. Mae was wise for using his guilt against him. This opens the question about what happened involving mae and torbin in brendok. We already had a glimpse in chapter 3, but there is a lot we weren't shown. So this death is impactful for that reason. In order for the mystery to grow.
I would drink the poison to if I was in a show called Star Wars Acolyte.
Mae isn't wise, she's demonstrably incompetent.
Cope
@@iloveplayingpr you should drink it anyway if you are actually watching a show just to hate it
@@Blisterdude123 killed 2 jedi, both times using their code and moral against them. Was able to escape from other three... she is wise, cause she knows she is not powerful enough yet, and therefore uses her brain more than strenght
Looks like anakin was not the younguest on the council... Hope they dont change wookiepedia again
Imagine if this show's director(s) made a show about Vader life as a Sith lord.
That's the sith.
Torbin is not dead, he's the Sith or dark force wielder.
Fantastic makeup. Fantastic scene. Fantastic death. It's actually one of the best in the history of Star Wars.
Why does his hand picking up the vial look so janky
Thank you, Yord. 😅
And I thought him jumping out of a window was a bad scene.
Ah Jedi Master In-Cel
why’d he take it anyway
"We thought we were doing the right thing"
- That's the problem with this show, what were you doing? This mystery is at best C-Plot when it should have been A-Plot.
So this is the tragedy of Darth Plagius the wise before it was written.
Pushing someone to suicide along with burning your home to the ground is, uh, pretty evil, pretty unforgivable.
Disney's going to redeem her at the end aren't they?
She didn't burn her home. We know that after chapter 3. She only tried to burn osha's room, but something happened off camera involving the jedi. That is why this death is so impactful. It setles a lot of questions. But something is clear: mae has valid reasons to turn to the dark side. Torbin practically confessed here they did something horrible. So yes, maybe mae can redeem... and osha falls. That would be interesting
Did they kill their parents or something
That's the mystery. We don't know exactly what happened. They're eluding to the fact that Mae started a fire and the jedi chose to save her sister instead of her. But the accident still resulted in the deaths of their parents. Osha was trained as a Jedi, while Mae was thought to be dead. But this is all from the perspective of multiple people, so what really did happen and piecing the facts together is the major plot point of the story.
You called it
What’s up with this actor playing roles were he offs himself
Can anyone explain why he was taking this vow and why he would feel as though he needed forgiveness from Mae. Either the flash back episode did not tell the full story or this makes no sense at all.
Also, if he took the vow right after what happened on the twins home planet, then how did he go from a padawan to a master, and why does he have a scar?
I have a sneaking suspicion that the fire didn't kill all the witches and that it happened at the same time that the jedi attacked and killed them all hence the guilt
@@brucehorsfall2685 After some internet research, its clear that we didnt get to see everything that happened that night. They will do another flashback in a later episode and show us what really happened.
Suicide ?!? Isn’t this show for marketed for children?!??
who this marketed for then?
Little adults ?
A Jedi will never kill them self with out a fight, thats when I stop watching
Even the music seems like it is from an 80's film. Cheap.
80's music is a million times better than this and what there is, don't insult the industry, SW was what it was thanks to the 80's, now they destroyed it.
Don’t insult the 80’s like that!!
Totally agree with @@FrozenPalm.
so weak-chinned that he looks weak-chinned even with a beard
Wow... I didn't believe this scene could possibly be as dumb as they say but woo is this show dumb
Ahh predictable, he was involved in certain “accidents” that left promising force sensitive kids orphans so the order could take them in.
One of these “accidents” left Osha & Mae orphaned & separated.
I was going to guess that it was a village of witches, or maybe a small number of them were, which is why Yord specifically mentions Osha’s “mothers” dying in the fire. It would also explain how Mae could have deceived the Jedi into believing they saw her die.
What if the Jedi are sabotaging other force-wielding peoples to try and prevent their authority from being challenged and losing their power?
I’m sure it’s pretty complicated
@@owenedward144 hmm ok sounds better than my theory.
I was thinking more that the Jedi (Torbin, Indara, Sol and Kelnacca) came across Mae's village and encountered the coven living there, then decided to destroy the coven and the village by extension after finding out that the witches were hostile force users (look how they possessed Torbin in the trailer). This would make "We thought we were doing the right thing" make a lot of sense, as the Jedi at the time didn't realise that carrying out a literal genocide wasn't the answer to the situation, and after what they did they decided to keep it a secret from the council, bearing an enormous amount of guilt, which is what drove Torbin to commit suicide for Mae's forgiveness.
and its completely idiotic cause by right they can take in force sensitivse if they re found.
So did i understand this correctly - when the diverse sith acolyte was a child she basically torched
a village down. And these are his crimes because jedi are the patriarchy. So he must poison himself.
please tell me i misunderstood the plot.
She very obviously didn't. I don't know why people think Osha being told the fire was what caused the building to explode is a true and accurate statement.
@@thanatos101b interesting. Explain why you come to this conclusion - the plot (which then would be even more arbitrary) has not revealed this yet, nor do we know wether she knows this. Explain why her revenge on the Jedi is justified. You didnt do that, you said absolutely nothing other than flimflum :D I guess you assume Osha has not been told the full truth, and the evil twin knows it - even if we dont know it. That could make sense in the story. Since Disney tries to deconstruct the jedi it could be so that they did something stupid. But that is not Star Wars. That is a critical theorist making fancy fan fiction.
Which again, makes all of this more arbitrary than necessary. You just denied what i said, you did not say what you do believe caused the the deaths of the witch village. Obi wan lied to Luke about Vader. So there is that element - but that is just Kenobi being an old fart. Its not the Jedi way. Convince me that you dont have pink hair lol
@@thenaturalpeoplesbureau You so realize it is a murder mystery, right? A hallmark of the genre is people doing things based on incomplete or misinformation. This is like watching the "Prisoners" and being confused as to why Hugh Jackman spends the whole movie torturing someone who couldn't possibly have done the crime.
But I gotta say, I love you openly admitting that none of this is about the show itself, but rather you and your weird resentments. It must be miserable.
@@thanatos101b You are so brave for censoring my comments
You must feel like a real hero. Anyway, the entire show is based on resentiments against star wars. Against the lore, expanded universe or not. And most certainly against men. This show is resentiment incarnate. The minor inconsistencies are actually not important. Important is their angle. Clearly they try to take the franchise away from the existing fanbase and sell it to some other group
@@thanatos101b all you are doin is strawmanning me. So brave!! Look i dont wanna bash. You know STAR WARS meant more to many of us than... any other fantasy... And you know this show aims at pissing the fanbase off. What reaction do you expect from us? That we love it if it has the STAR WARS rubberstamp on it? I think i will try to watch it more openly - but seriously, dont act as if we are the ones with resentiment. This show is due to resentiments against the fanbase and what Lucas Arts produced before Disney+. As are some other related products. There are many franchises that pulled off strong female characters, without making their enemies weak and dumb. And that is another issue - the new characters like Rey did not really train like Luke, Anakin and all the other Jedi. In the end her heritage explains it all - The force became a hereditary legacy.. Their enemies are childlike (ren) and just again, are a direct view of how the makers saw their fanbase. Disney is toxic, and should be sued.
This is why you don’t let Mac Miller into the Jedi Order.
Matt Walsh bought me here as I would never watch this show, just seeing what happened here, Looks awful.
You think that's awful? That music video she made has more cringe in it than a tank load of poison.
Rip bozo
What’d that actor get paid to do the show and play the most useless character ever?
After watching episodes 3, it no wonder he drink poison, it so obvious, ain't no way Mae fire cause everyone witch death, it to easy, These jedi definitely kill those witch, Ain't no other way to prove me wrong at this point, these 4 Jedi definitely murder these witch, No wonder Mae hunting those 4 jedi
Nobody with a clean concious could understand this need for forgiveness.
Very Star Wars-y music, though! Sounds great.
He could have said no, he wasn't forced to choose, that's what elections are about, I already blocked you with my mind (yesterday) there is nothing you can do against me.
The show is a textbook ex. of people hired for their identity rather than their talent, reaching for something that's far beyond their intellectual grasp and blowing hundreds of millions of dollars in the process.
She looks like Rick James 😂😂😂
I'm Rick James, Sith!
I'd drink it too, with so much cringe
Take THAT, Europeans!
HAHAHAHAHA oh and she's the good guy because she has a droid that makes droid noises

This is so bad
Amazingly terrible
I’m curious to know why you feel this way?
Nothing about this is terrible. You didn’t even watch the show

Its more of a cringe.
So many people triggered about this show lol but it’s very interesting and I want to see where it goes
Well of course. It's a new level of dumb and racist we haven't seen before. So naturally people are going to get pissed off at the producers incompetence.
Yeah, people tend to dislike legitimately bad shows with horrific writing, acting, makeup, wardrobe. And plot contrivances and lore destroying.
Probably cus it just ruins what could be genuinely great. Like you're telling me this is what the show brings in two epsisodes. The Mandalorian had me cheering for a faceless protagonist and singing his damn tune in two episodes. If you like the show, that's cool but it has big flaws g
He died of white guilt
This is good. why the hate
Hate makes comments stronger. Gives them focus.
Most people can't form their own opinions and just copy the popular ones. They would hate with all their guts mid shows/movies that simply do not deserve so much emotion, only because it's a popular thing to do. As they would worship the same mid shows/movies, like Rogue One, only because it's popular to do so
Naw I watched it with an opinion mind trying not to focus on the negative but there are so many points in the episodes that make no sense at all with any of the jedi and the characters focus on revenge.
@@Sedobreev Brilliant theory. Where do they go en masse to decide what's popular and what's not. Why is this one terrible but not Andor? Maybe because this show is nonsensical, with terrible dialogue, logic, contradictions.
you have got to be kidding me
The only white dude is this guy, dear lord I'm dead 😂😂😂
Glad to see I'm not alone in thinking this show is a joke. During this scene I had to look to make sure I was watching a star wars show. I don't know who's more cringeworthy. The 20 year old Jedi Master with that hairline/head or her the diversity hire girl boss jedi killer.
