Never have i thought that i would need a greater mix than his albums.... Thank you for this wonderful collection. I was in the top 0.0x percent listeners 2 years in a row on spotify, however this is the first i heard the Drifter, after searching for it, it's hidden inside Gavriels album, Red Twilight, thank you for helping me discover new music from this great musician. It's great to see how much they have developed their works, shame it's quite hard to get to the really old ones, even harder to believe is that the first album was released 10 years ago!
❤. I think in addition to the tracks they should put the artists behind them too cause I don't think they are all windows96. I think they are a collection of different artists and I also think windows96 is an umbrella for a collection of artists that make music in this style or genre that's a little vapor wavvy and a little other stuff. I don't think it's just one person but just in case windows 06 happens to be 1 person then that persons a genius.
@@kenswireart88 WINDOWS96 is an artist who use samples as a mere compositional resource, that is, these samples have the same relevance as a Snare or a Bass in his compositions, and are not pre-existing melodies or chords changed from context as do artist like Haircuts For Men, Macroblank and so on. Windows 96 belongs to the scene of authentic composers such as FM Skyline. So yes, WINDOWS96 is probably one of the brightest minds of our generation, musically speaking
@@antonior.4869I used to make hip-hop beats a d samples in the hip-hop world imISNT ORIGINAL. it means taking a bar or two from an already existing song, probably a hit track and looping it an adding a few things here and there. That's in the hip-hop world so when u say samples, how do u mean original? Is he creating these tracks from scratch or is he breathing new life into a track that's already preexisting.
@@kenswireart88 He uses samples of old video game or rather video game romplers, that is, soundpacks that can be played via MIDI but are not pre-existing melodies, but rather isolated sounds. On the other hand, when he uses vocal samples these samples go through synthesis processing completely changing the character and pitch of the original sample. This is definitely much more advanced than what is done in hip-hop and other sample-based genres. He has a genuine knowledge of music theory. I mean, I know what I'm talking about, I'm an audio engineer, and I also graduated as a bass player
I highly appreciated Lynx and Takeaguess playing back to back. Those are my favorite songs
this visual has that comforting source engine dev map feel
indeed, though it's AI generated
@@a_soulspark oh now i see it
@@a_soulsparkit's not ai generated, it's from win96's Twitter thought It has been through some ai "enhancing" of some sort
