One of the good things at these resorts is you have walking access to Boardwalk and Swan & Dolphin.
It really expands your choices without having to use WDW transport.

The Beach Club is probably my favorite DVC resort. The Stormalong Bay pool, Beaches and Cream, The Cafe May Cafe clam bake, and direct access the The International Gateway...unbeatable.

Cape May Cafe is one of my family’s favorite restaurants, not just on WDW property, but favorite restaurants period. As an Orlando local, I grew up going to Cape May Cafe for almost every special occasion, and sometimes just for a nice weekend dinner. I even had a birthday party at the Beach Club growing up. We love the clam bake, and recommend it! Even if someone in your family isn’t huge on seafood, they have more tame options plus the dessert is great. I can’t wait to visit again soon!

Another reason to eat at Ale & Compass - you are hungry, got run out of a park due to heavy rain and have a young kid who is starving. No reservation is needed.

@@scottgunerman just looked it up. Didnt know that was a thing now. Last time I went was 6 years ago or so. The price just too insane.
Fun Fact of the day: Eisner decided to continue raising prices until Disney park tickets, or sales overall, reduced. It never happened! To this day, Disneyland is overpopulated. No matter how high the costs go, people continue to pay any price.

    • @scottgunerman
      @scottgunerman 6 лет назад

jond2614 agree! The prices are ridiculous. I LOVE yacht club but I can no longer justify 400 a night for a weeks vacation. We have switched to POP and with the newly refurbished rooms it’s good enough for us and about 1/3 the price. Another annoying trend, the prices on DCL. 10K for a 7 night cruise on the fantasy for a family of four. Really?🙅‍♂️

I currently am at the end of a 6 day stay at the beach club villas. I've gone to a couple of these places but was able to do breakfast / brunch at ale & compass. Brunch holds a special place in my heart and I can only go with my girlfriend. Being both hard to please, we tend towards higher end locales that really dig down to perfect flavor combos. She had the blueberry bacon pancakes and I had the steak sandwich with salad with truffle vinaigrette. Mine was incredible. Perfectly cooked steak in an open faced sandwich and a perfect salad. Hers was okay, but good enough to take the remainder for later. The bacon part wasn't pronounced, but that's generally expected. Her regular bacon was unbelievable crisp yet not burnt. I absolutely loved that breakfast and I look forward to it again on a future trip. The charcuterie and cheese at the buffet was also great.

Beach Club is my favorite Disney resort! You are just a mins walk from Epcot and a short boat ride to Hollywood studios. It also has one of my favorite restaurants which is Cape May. Being in Nebraska we don’t have much of sea food and when we do it’s super expensive. So when we stay at Disney we always make sure to hit up Cape May. And for being a buffet I think it’s really good and the service it decent. There has only been a few time where we had crappy service. But we always make sure to tell Disney and they always work things out for us.

If you are a small party and don't have a reservation at Beach & Cream, you can very likely get in as walkups if you're willing to sit at the barstools -- especially true for solos and pairs. If you don't have at least four hungry people, there is a smaller version of the Kitchen Sink called "Mickey Pants". Cape May is a good buffet if you're staying nearby; RIP oreo bon-bons!

We loved staying at the Beach Club, but we were disappointed that returning to resort after being at park all day there is literally nothing open after 10/11pm. We had to order coffee and snacks from room service. Now that we know the Disney Springs is open until like 1/2am we may opt to go there after the parks and get our Starbucks and dessert fix before returning to the resort.

The seafood roll from Hurricane Hanna's was one of the best things I ate while at Disney in June. Mine was modified gluten free and it was so delicious I went back for another before I left. I also ate at Yachtsman's and that too was really very good. Both places were outstanding with accommodating my gluten allergy which is huge plus for those who need.

Can you guys please make a video on how non Disney fans can have a great time at Disney World? I am (hopefully) taking my boyfriend next year but he doesn't want to go and is not a fan. He wasn't raised in a Disney household. I've shown him a few movies and he doesn't seem to hate it, but he thinks Disney World is just for kids. I know he would like it if I could just get him out there!! I've read articles too, but I like videos more and even though your channel is mostly food centric, you guys are amazing ❤❤

We did our first Kitchen Sink about 3 weeks ago. It’s not just a dessert 🍨 it’s an experience! I won’t say anymore as I don’t want to spoil it for another first timer. There were 3 of us & we finished it but afterwards although we definitely weren’t hungry we had a plate of cheese 🧀& bacon 🥓 fries 🍟 just to take the edge off! This was a very interesting video as these 2 resorts are ones I’ve never stayed at or spent much time at so didn’t know much about the dining here (except for the kitchen sink). Is Cape May Cafe still worth going to for dinner if none of us eat fish 🐠?

7:47 The furniture that you're showing there is not exactly 1990's. I remember that style when I was a child back in the 1960's. Of course, it's hard to tell with nautical theming because it tends to be classic.

I love your videos! Please do a video on what to eat around the Caribbean Beach Resort. I’m staying there in November. It’s my favorite place to stay because of how affordable it is and how much I love the pool there. However when I stayed there last year I was pretty disappointed with the food options. We did the room service but didn’t know any of our other options other than the truck by the pool. When I check the my Disney experience app it says there is places to eat there. I know it’s also pretty close to other resorts that may have good options to eat. I would absolutely love if you did a video on what to eat around this resort area on days that you don’t spend in the parks!

I don’t know if it is the culture because we are Mexicans, but we didn’t like the breakfast. My dad was like “what-is-that” look on his face when he got his pizza for breakfast. Looks good. There used to be a seafood restaurant there in the 1990s called Arial's named after the little mermaid. It had really good seafood and steaks. Too bad they closed. My wife and I have stayed there a couple of times and planned on going there this fall. Off topic question. My wife recently died and I would like to go to Disney World one last time. I know in the past Disney loves to help the single guest. So do they allow single men in the parks? With all of the sick men out there some places do not allow single men. I would love to go and enjoy the parks and food.

So sorry for your loss! I don't think it should be a problem but I'm not 100% sure.

Very sorry for your loss. I always go to WDW solo. Lots of people do. Men and women. Just keep it simple the first time. Go on single rider lines for rides. Then no one expects you to have a partner!

I ate at Ariel's on my honeymoon and it was delish. I am sorry to hear about your wife. There are no places single men cannot visit at Disney. (Legoland has some rules though.)

      I'm sorry for your loss.
Disney is perfectly safe and welcoming for solo travel. People will not think you're odd or looking for something.
However, if your heartaches and the loneliness weighs heavy, it may not be the best place to visit. Many people are there with friends and family it may feel like everyone is happy but you. (They're not everyone has problems in some form theyre hiding)
If you're mentally up to being around people who appear to have the time of their lives and everything right in the world, then go. If not, avoid.
