I believe they've said that they're going to make it so the warden can still attack you when you've towered up. Cause honestly right now he seems a little too weak to ranged attacks.
I like the idea that the devs made on not making the Warden drop items, it just proves that no matter how strong you get sometimes the best option is just to avoid fights.

I genuinely hope this deep dark 1.19 update is setting up for an entirely new dimension come 1.20. It would be amazing if the reinforced deepslate was in fact a portal frame, and the various skulk blocks and such were originally from their own dimension that we'll get to explore someday. overall mojang has been doing amazing updates and really expanding minecraft playtime

So in the final update the warden will definitely not be "cheesable" like it is now. I personally think that it will be able to climb up blocks, since mojang seems really keen to add a bunch of animations for the warden. It might also be able to crawl through small spaces after you as well. It also gets stuck in water right now, so I imagine that'll be fixed too.

There's fine tuning needed for the Warden summon rate. There's supposed to be a "chance" a shriek will call one, currently it's 100% Reinforced deepslate is immune to TNT, impervious to wither destruction radius, takes 90+ seconds to mine a single block with full enchanted tools and can only be moved by pistons, not picked up as an item. Wither cage anyone? The Warden has 250 hearts. 500HP, 2.5 times the Ender Dragon... and drops no loot. This is definitely not something you risk your hardcore for to flex
The reinforced deepslate thing confuses me. Why have this impenetrable block if it isn't used to defend anthing and you can't even get it yourself? The prison makers would have a field day with that thing.
Every shriek makes the Warden get called closer, the first couple times you can hear the Warden answer in the distance, but it doesn't get summoned. However, trigger them enough times, and it'll start summoning them. That's what happens in this video, and what the snapshot changelog specifies. The "timer" for how close the Warden is to being summoned probably goes down after you don't trigger a shrieker for long enough.
no its not a chance its supposed to spawn once you make the shieker, shriek three times, but for some reason as of right now it doest reset after the 3 shrieks and its global so once you shriek 3 times every other shrieker will spawn if you shriek once.
I wish the Warden dropped like it's heart so that it would give you permanent extra hearts while equipped, or bones that just added a stat increase to weapons and armor so people who are already basically maxed could have an actual reason for going to the deep dark, or maybe flesh that's needed to make a lighter for a new dimension.

So far the warden is absolutely terrifying. The sound design is next level. I can't wait to see other mechanics they'll add to it. Kingbdogz has teased an anti-cheesing mechanic for pillaring and going into 2x1 holes, and I can't wait to find out what it is. Something tells me it has something to do with his burrowing mechanic. Imagine if he can phase through blocks in the same way that he digs. You pillar up, but he digs down and pops up at the top of your pillar. That's my hope anyways, I know the devs can have an even better idea down the line.
Just a bit of info on the Warden/Deep Dark: -It is now the tallest mob in the game (non boss), being taller than the Enderman -It has the most health out of all mobs, including the bosses, at 500 HP, or 250 hearts. The Ender Dragon in comparison has 400 HP or 200 hearts, and the Wither Boss (Java edition) has 300 HP or 150 hearts (Bedrock has 600 HP, or 300 hearts, thus making the Bedrock Wither stronger health wise. Since the Warden is on Java only at the moment, it still applies) -No hostile mobs (except for the Warden) can spawn inside the Deep Dark -The Deep Dark is a smallish biome and does not cover the whole world’s bedrock floor, thus making ancient cities pretty difficult to find -Skulk Shriekers need 3 activations to summon a Warden, but after that, any single activation by any Skulk Shrieker will summon a warden (as of right now; that could be a bug and will probably be changed in the near future) -The re-enforced deepslate is not craftable, completely blast resistant (even to the Wither Boss’ Blue Skull attack), takes up to 80+ seconds to break, but can be moved with pistons
The Warden isn't a boss. If you don't clear out all the Shriekers, you'll end up summoning the Warden over and over and over again. With 500 health, you don't want that. That's why they call it a Natural Disaster. Let's hope there's more payoff than Swift Sneak for trekking the Deep Dark Ruins. Maybe, eventually, we'll see a Skulk Sparker. And the Reinforced Deepslate will become a portal block. But for now, that's just a fantasy.
Bosses you tend to seek out to destroy for the rewards it drops, or to make an area safe for you to loot. The warden currently gives no drops and can spawn so quickly that killing one doesn't really do much. Of course both of those aspects are subject to change. Still, it is meant to be avoided, rather than fought, so incentizing players to hunt it may be contrary to the design philosophy (they'll still probably have an achievement for killing it).
the sound design and animations are absolutely incredible- they did such a great job of making the warden absolutely terrifying. i can’t wait to see what they do to prevent cheap ways of killing the warden like towering up or digging a hole! i really love how they’ve designed a mob that isn’t meant to be killed, and i hope that ends up happening
they can make a warden destroy the blocks and just break through those walls or towers that would actually make mc a lot lot lot better if we think this biome as an horror biome
The new needed item when exploring the warden is eggs. The low chance you can get a chicken and have the warden be distracted plus they can be used as projectiles

Either you transport the shulkers and guardians to the shrieker, or you transport the shrieker to the shulkers and guardians. But yet again, then you'll have to worry about the warden being summoned- So how even??
I think the advancement you're referring to is How Did We Get Here? since Darkness isn't a potion effect. I imagine the advancement would be way harder to do in 1.19.
That advancement requires every single effect, regardless of whether it’s a potion or not, that’s why it’s so hard to get since you need an Elder Guardian, Wither Skeleton, Shulker, every potion in the game and more.

the reinforced deepslate is the new strongest block in the whole game, just below the bedrock, it's supposed to be a block with explosion protection and it takes 82 seconds to break, and you can't get it in survival even with silk touch

To anyone who thinks that the Warden isn’t that OP after Philza ate a Notch Apple. Remember that a Notch Apple with Protection IV Netherite Armor makes you practically invincible. A Sharpness V Netherite Sword basically does next to no damage when combined with the regeneration, and resistance, from the Notch Apple and the Protection IV from the armor. While the Warden here is still taking off 2 hearts easily with each hit. Plus, I’m pretty sure you’re not gonna have a stack of Notch Apples in your inventory on your survival world. Just to some up his strength and resistance is unbelievably terrifying.
That… is absolute horrifying when put into perspective. oAo But it seems like something you’re not supposed to actually fight and beat (no loot, maybe for achievement only).
I really REALLY hope that the devs actually give us a reason to explore the cities bc if the warden is that powerful, the city becomes more of an obstacle to go around instead of something that would be worth the danger. I wonder if this will be a leeway into dimension over hauls, upgrading the end and maybe adding a skulk dimension
pretty sure the cities are gonna have amazing loot,but you have to avoid the Warden. There is no award in killing the Warden maybe other than an advancement.
Don’t forget that this is only a snapshot. Meaning that The developers will probably change more things in spawn rates and mechanists and stuff. This is just how the cities/wardens will look like. The loot we saw in the video is definitely not gonna be it. Otherwise players won’t go down to the deep dark thinking its not worth the risk.

So when I first looked at that thing, it looked like a portal. When Phil pointed out that they looked like teeth, I saw the things on the side as eyes. There’s a lot of unanswered questions lore-wise about the warden; my main one being why is called the warden. Wardens are typically people who watch over prisons, right? What if the wardens are protecting an even scarier version of the warden on the other side of that portal?
Swift Sneak is such a good QoL inclusion even outside the Deep Dark. I could also see it revolutionizing parkour, but then again it might do absolutely nothing to it based on the specific interactions.
i just figured its useful for building. how often are you holding crouch bridging across things? like allll the time, its 90% of the reason you ever sneak. would make getting your first elytra way faster which i like, cus thats too grindy right now anyways.
250 hearts and hits harder than the void- Warden just out here ending hardcore worlds if you want to keep the creepiness but still be able to see turn the darkness affect down to 30-50% in the accessibility menu!

Those boot enchantments are something I didn’t know about or consider them adding, thats very exciting and interesting! I can totally see that being essential and a very loved enchantment. Lmao it looked like that glitch I’ve seen on servers when someone looks like they are stuck in the crouch animation from other perspectives

To anyone asking if the Warden will ever drop loot, I doubt it. They’ve made it pretty clear they don’t want it to be another mob people want to fight, but rather to avoid and if it doesn’t drop anything there is no use in fighting it. It honestly makes sense and is pretty cool.
then they better make the loot good or else there will literally be no reason to go there and fight it and if there is literally no reason to fight one of if not the hardest mobs in the game then why would i? just avoid the entire biome

So far I have survived two warden encounters by just shifting and backing a far enough distance. If you stay far enough away when he sniffs, he'll just follow you and won't attack.
I even tried crystaling the Warden (Blowing him up with endcrystals) and that was awfully slow as well. Perhaps the Warden has got some sort of blast resistance.
@@UltraAryan10 don't quote me on that, but isn't that like about 2.5 times bigger than the ender dragon? everything points to just not fighting the warden tbh
@@cosmicdistortion4350 Ender Dragon has 100 HP only actually so its 5 times more. Though the dragon does have more overall resistances and an additional 75% damage resistance if you hit it at areas other than its head.
Its probably a good idea to bring slowness potion effects and weakness effects for the warden if you're preparing to fight one and also bring night vision to see
To deal more damage, you could use Smite V since the Warden is an undead mob. Also, there is also the option of wearing Blast Protection Armor and using End Crystals to kill it while chugging gapples.
@@milkuetea The devs plan to change it to 2-3 shrieker activation for the Warden to pop out. Also, you could mine all the shrieker/sensor so that the Warden cannot spawn.
I think this thing is gonna become a hardcore world ender, once you can't just cheese it with pillars or lava anyway. I did test, and you can outrun it when sprint jumping pretty easily, but it's also very easy to fall to your death or get trapped in a corner with the Darkness effect. Arguably the Darkness effect makes the Warden way harder.
Personally i think the only way to "cheese"the warden after its un cheesable is to just use a pearl hanging where you throw a pearl while your simulation distance is low and when you turn your sim distance up it reloads the pearl and teleports you away
Imo the warden although very interesting in theory is going to be more of a nuisance than anything as what if you are just mining and you accidentally come across the blocks that summon them? Then your screwed especially if your not in the end game also this will probably be like the phantoms to where it’s just annoying and unfair but this time on steroids and almost unavoidable(due to the blindness)
@@nerdyworld938 if you throw the ender pearl before the warden starts coming out of the ground and brings the darkness effect you can make a massive amount of distance between you and the warden but if you hear a second sculk shrieker go off move as fast as possible and quietly as possible and second warden won't pursue you but you will have the darkness effect until you are out of range of the warden bc the darkness effect that the warden gives off has a range if you make a base high up over looking the ancient city start throwing ender pearls back to your base by first ender pearing back to the centre and ender pearl back to the base (I would advise you build your base at the front or back of the ancient city so you are able to memorize where it is I also advise you use scaffolding as your way from your base to the ground floor of the ancient city) and the warden will not find you and the darkness effect will eventually wear off make sure that the warden doesn't get summoned on the same side of the ancient city that your base is on if this happens ender pearl to the centre of the ancient city and he will not pursue you as long as you throw the ender pearl before he starts coming out also you can stop the chase between you and the warden by ender pearing away far enough and he will give up the chase And they is a way to get rid of the warnings that causes the warden to come and it's by waiting about 10-20 minutes and the warden will forget that you are there (I have tested all of this and of things work on survival without cheats)
I can just imagine Philza summoning so many wardens to the point where it becomes like one of those parts of a game where you have to avoid getting spotted by the enemy or else you have to start all over again, like in Zelda OOT where you're breaking into the castle.

I just came up with the best life line for the warden: a punch II crossbow with tipped arrows of TURTLE MASTER II. It should reduce its speed by 90% for, if I recall correctly, 20 seconds, enough time to get away. The punch is useful cause it’s got knock back resistance (punching it did nothing for me) which could again save you if you shoot the arrow at him when he’s in hitting distance of you. Remember, this is at the point where the warden is coming at you at mach 10 and you’re out of options. You are not going to be killing it at this point, and if you were, you fucked up it. Therefore, the resistance doesn’t help it in the slightest. I hope Philz’s sees this, it could mean his hardcore world, and I really want him to continue it. Edit: turns out you can’t enchant a crossbow with punch, but quick charge is also viable in case of multiple wardens (yes! More than one can be in the world at once) Edit 2 (IMPORTANT): so I did some testing and here’s what I found 1. Arrows of turtle master II only last 2 seconds, next to nothing, so the original comment is basically useless 2. When the warden is afflicted with turtle master II, he literally cannot move, like at all. He is stuck there for 20 seconds using a splash potion. He also doesn’t become angry when you splash him 3. Swiftness will be your best friend. sneaking around the place gets really slow, so when you are prepping to go to the ancient cities, bring as many as possible 4. Wool is obviously the go to block, but what makes it better is that you can sprint jump on the stuff without setting off the sculk sensors. As long as you don’t place the wool onto a scull block, the stuff is completely unheard 5. There should be absolutely no reason to keep your sword in your hotbar, only keep a bow, some eggs, wool, pots, and whatever other tools you need to get around the place. Some sound is ok, but you need to be completely sure that a shrieked isn’t hiding anywhere before breaking anything

I feel like they should let them stack, considering people are just gonna get it immediately anyway. And if they dont let it stack, people will just make another set of netherite boots and put sneak on it. Modern problems require modern solutions.
Whats probably going to be a problem for the warden is a system set up to purposely create noise which can summon the warden with the shrieker nearby. My question is if you made noise somewhere else, would it travel to that place only to go back to the system because of the shrieker?
Knock back will probably become everybody's best friend because of the warden; it should be able to provide some time for you to put distance between yourself and the warden.
Counters for warden that could work: •Slowness arrows •Fishing rods could work to push him into lava or take fall damage •Fights in water generally will make him slower •Remove Skulk Shrieker (block that summon Warden) •Remove Skulk Sensors(if able to break all will be fantastic because sensors are what he mostly relies on)
I'm loving the look of this update, but I'd like Swift Sneak to be a legging enchant, and not another boot enchant. I really want to see leggings and chest plates get some unique enchantments like boots and helmets have.
while in it self its a good idea i think they are putting alll the movment related enchats to the boots so that the player have to chose, you cant have swift sneak and the fast water walking on same boots for example
@@mechanicer3105 That does make sense. My main issue is that we already have a lot of boot-specific enchants. I would like to see chestplate or legging exclusive enchants, and swift sneak makes sense for leggings.
The wardens noises freak me out so much. They’re such.. anguished sounds. Like some miserable creature trapped, suffering, forced to or otherwise just programmed to kill anything that moves.
i think swift sneak will also be really good to save on food/hunger while mining too cause you can be crouching and it seems like with that you can keep up with your pickaxe
Imagine a dimension ALL of sculk. A dimension of no creatures besides the warden. Which can pop up at any moment, any time. Trees made from decaying wood.. abandoned villages. Just a world of nothing but death and decay

Someone tested it on reddit from what I saw and the resistance from turtle master is not nearly enough even with a full netherite armor. It could be funny to just bury the warden in snow though.
turtle master potions do resistance 4 but god apples also do resistance 4 and phil got a bit rekt even with resistance 4 and the god apple so i dont think it will be a good resource

I was there during the Breath of the Wild livestream and I saw some people in chat saying the Warden is out, but Phil was having too much fun running around naked and killing Guardians. 😂 It was great.
The Warden will likely replace Herobrine with the fear and horror concept of Minecraft. But Herobrine will always forever live on in the hearts of the OGs.
Judging from the knockback on the bow, guess a knockback sword is really good to counter that creature. Also exp farmers be like: Ah, yes- Another one added to my collection.

So in the final update the warden will definitely not be "cheesable" like it is now. I personally think that it will be able to climb up blocks, since mojang seems really keen to add a bunch of animations for the warden. It might also be able to crawl through small spaces after you as well. It also gets stuck in water right now, so I imagine that'll be fixed too.
the ravager can break blocks so by default i think the warden should be able to do so
also I'm disappointed that its only 3 blocks tall and not the 4 blocks we were promised

There's fine tuning needed for the Warden summon rate. There's supposed to be a "chance" a shriek will call one, currently it's 100%
Reinforced deepslate is immune to TNT, impervious to wither destruction radius, takes 90+ seconds to mine a single block with full enchanted tools and can only be moved by pistons, not picked up as an item. Wither cage anyone?
The Warden has 250 hearts. 500HP, 2.5 times the Ender Dragon... and drops no loot. This is definitely not something you risk your hardcore for to flex
The reinforced deepslate thing confuses me. Why have this impenetrable block if it isn't used to defend anthing and you can't even get it yourself? The prison makers would have a field day with that thing.
Every shriek makes the Warden get called closer, the first couple times you can hear the Warden answer in the distance, but it doesn't get summoned. However, trigger them enough times, and it'll start summoning them. That's what happens in this video, and what the snapshot changelog specifies. The "timer" for how close the Warden is to being summoned probably goes down after you don't trigger a shrieker for long enough.
no its not a chance its supposed to spawn once you make the shieker, shriek three times, but for some reason as of right now it doest reset after the 3 shrieks and its global so once you shriek 3 times every other shrieker will spawn if you shriek once.
I wish the Warden dropped like it's heart so that it would give you permanent extra hearts while equipped, or bones that just added a stat increase to weapons and armor so people who are already basically maxed could have an actual reason for going to the deep dark, or maybe flesh that's needed to make a lighter for a new dimension.

So far the warden is absolutely terrifying. The sound design is next level. I can't wait to see other mechanics they'll add to it. Kingbdogz has teased an anti-cheesing mechanic for pillaring and going into 2x1 holes, and I can't wait to find out what it is. Something tells me it has something to do with his burrowing mechanic. Imagine if he can phase through blocks in the same way that he digs. You pillar up, but he digs down and pops up at the top of your pillar. That's my hope anyways, I know the devs can have an even better idea down the line.

Just a bit of info on the Warden/Deep Dark:
-It is now the tallest mob in the game (non boss), being taller than the Enderman
-It has the most health out of all mobs, including the bosses, at 500 HP, or 250 hearts. The Ender Dragon in comparison has 400 HP or 200 hearts, and the Wither Boss (Java edition) has 300 HP or 150 hearts (Bedrock has 600 HP, or 300 hearts, thus making the Bedrock Wither stronger health wise. Since the Warden is on Java only at the moment, it still applies)
-No hostile mobs (except for the Warden) can spawn inside the Deep Dark
-The Deep Dark is a smallish biome and does not cover the whole world’s bedrock floor, thus making ancient cities pretty difficult to find
-Skulk Shriekers need 3 activations to summon a Warden, but after that, any single activation by any Skulk Shrieker will summon a warden (as of right now; that could be a bug and will probably be changed in the near future)
-The re-enforced deepslate is not craftable, completely blast resistant (even to the Wither Boss’ Blue Skull attack), takes up to 80+ seconds to break, but can be moved with pistons

The Warden isn't a boss.
If you don't clear out all the Shriekers, you'll end up summoning the Warden over and over and over again.
With 500 health, you don't want that.
That's why they call it a Natural Disaster.
Let's hope there's more payoff than Swift Sneak for trekking the Deep Dark Ruins.
Maybe, eventually, we'll see a Skulk Sparker.
And the Reinforced Deepslate will become a portal block.
But for now, that's just a fantasy.
Players like you are why I love Minecraft and it's community. The creativity is amazing.
Bosses you tend to seek out to destroy for the rewards it drops, or to make an area safe for you to loot. The warden currently gives no drops and can spawn so quickly that killing one doesn't really do much. Of course both of those aspects are subject to change. Still, it is meant to be avoided, rather than fought, so incentizing players to hunt it may be contrary to the design philosophy (they'll still probably have an achievement for killing it).

the sound design and animations are absolutely incredible- they did such a great job of making the warden absolutely terrifying. i can’t wait to see what they do to prevent cheap ways of killing the warden like towering up or digging a hole! i really love how they’ve designed a mob that isn’t meant to be killed, and i hope that ends up happening
They could add a debuff when it chases you named Nervous/Fear which disables mining and building, rendering you helpless until you manage to hide.

I think the advancement you're referring to is How Did We Get Here? since Darkness isn't a potion effect. I imagine the advancement would be way harder to do in 1.19.

the reinforced deepslate is the new strongest block in the whole game, just below the bedrock, it's supposed to be a block with explosion protection and it takes 82 seconds to break, and you can't get it in survival even with silk touch

To anyone who thinks that the Warden isn’t that OP after Philza ate a Notch Apple. Remember that a Notch Apple with Protection IV Netherite Armor makes you practically invincible. A Sharpness V Netherite Sword basically does next to no damage when combined with the regeneration, and resistance, from the Notch Apple and the Protection IV from the armor. While the Warden here is still taking off 2 hearts easily with each hit. Plus, I’m pretty sure you’re not gonna have a stack of Notch Apples in your inventory on your survival world. Just to some up his strength and resistance is unbelievably terrifying.

Don’t forget that this is only a snapshot. Meaning that The developers will probably change more things in spawn rates and mechanists and stuff. This is just how the cities/wardens will look like. The loot we saw in the video is definitely not gonna be it. Otherwise players won’t go down to the deep dark thinking its not worth the risk.

So when I first looked at that thing, it looked like a portal. When Phil pointed out that they looked like teeth, I saw the things on the side as eyes. There’s a lot of unanswered questions lore-wise about the warden; my main one being why is called the warden. Wardens are typically people who watch over prisons, right? What if the wardens are protecting an even scarier version of the warden on the other side of that portal?

Swift Sneak is such a good QoL inclusion even outside the Deep Dark. I could also see it revolutionizing parkour, but then again it might do absolutely nothing to it based on the specific interactions.

To anyone asking if the Warden will ever drop loot, I doubt it. They’ve made it pretty clear they don’t want it to be another mob people want to fight, but rather to avoid and if it doesn’t drop anything there is no use in fighting it. It honestly makes sense and is pretty cool.
The question is if it is required to kill it when trying to obtain monsters hunted advancement.

So far I have survived two warden encounters by just shifting and backing a far enough distance. If you stay far enough away when he sniffs, he'll just follow you and won't attack.
I even tried crystaling the Warden (Blowing him up with endcrystals) and that was awfully slow as well. Perhaps the Warden has got some sort of blast resistance.

@@cosmicdistortion4350 Ender Dragon has 100 HP only actually so its 5 times more. Though the dragon does have more overall resistances and an additional 75% damage resistance if you hit it at areas other than its head.

Its probably a good idea to bring slowness potion effects and weakness effects for the warden if you're preparing to fight one and also bring night vision to see
To deal more damage, you could use Smite V since the Warden is an undead mob. Also, there is also the option of wearing Blast Protection Armor and using End Crystals to kill it while chugging gapples.
But the point is to not kill it

I think this thing is gonna become a hardcore world ender, once you can't just cheese it with pillars or lava anyway.
I did test, and you can outrun it when sprint jumping pretty easily, but it's also very easy to fall to your death or get trapped in a corner with the Darkness effect. Arguably the Darkness effect makes the Warden way harder.
Personally i think the only way to "cheese"the warden after its un cheesable is to just use a pearl hanging where you throw a pearl while your simulation distance is low and when you turn your sim distance up it reloads the pearl and teleports you away
Imo the warden although very interesting in theory is going to be more of a nuisance than anything as what if you are just mining and you accidentally come across the blocks that summon them? Then your screwed especially if your not in the end game also this will probably be like the phantoms to where it’s just annoying and unfair but this time on steroids and almost unavoidable(due to the blindness)
@@nerdyworld938 if you throw the ender pearl before the warden starts coming out of the ground and brings the darkness effect you can make a massive amount of distance between you and the warden
but if you hear a second sculk shrieker go off move as fast as possible and quietly as possible and second warden won't pursue you
but you will have the darkness effect until you are out of range of the warden bc the darkness effect that the warden gives off has a range if you make a base high up over looking the ancient city start throwing ender pearls back to your base by first ender pearing back to the centre and ender pearl back to the base
(I would advise you build your base at the front or back of the ancient city so you are able to memorize where it is I also advise you use scaffolding as your way from your base to the ground floor of the ancient city) and the warden will not find you and the darkness effect will eventually wear off make sure that the warden doesn't get summoned on the same side of the ancient city that your base is on if this happens ender pearl to the centre of the ancient city and he will not pursue you as long as you throw the ender pearl before he starts coming out
also you can stop the chase between you and the warden by ender pearing away far enough and he will give up the chase
And they is a way to get rid of the warnings that causes the warden to come and it's by waiting about 10-20 minutes and the warden will forget that you are there
(I have tested all of this and of things work on survival without cheats)
I can already imagine how many hardcore worlds are going to be lost from the Warden battle....

Oddly enough, the structure Philza found only had fortifications, with a complete lack of normal shops or living areas

I just came up with the best life line for the warden: a punch II crossbow with tipped arrows of TURTLE MASTER II. It should reduce its speed by 90% for, if I recall correctly, 20 seconds, enough time to get away. The punch is useful cause it’s got knock back resistance (punching it did nothing for me) which could again save you if you shoot the arrow at him when he’s in hitting distance of you. Remember, this is at the point where the warden is coming at you at mach 10 and you’re out of options. You are not going to be killing it at this point, and if you were, you fucked up it. Therefore, the resistance doesn’t help it in the slightest. I hope Philz’s sees this, it could mean his hardcore world, and I really want him to continue it.
Edit: turns out you can’t enchant a crossbow with punch, but quick charge is also viable in case of multiple wardens (yes! More than one can be in the world at once)
Edit 2 (IMPORTANT): so I did some testing and here’s what I found
1. Arrows of turtle master II only last 2 seconds, next to nothing, so the original comment is basically useless
2. When the warden is afflicted with turtle master II, he literally cannot move, like at all. He is stuck there for 20 seconds using a splash potion. He also doesn’t become angry when you splash him
3. Swiftness will be your best friend. sneaking around the place gets really slow, so when you are prepping to go to the ancient cities, bring as many as possible
4. Wool is obviously the go to block, but what makes it better is that you can sprint jump on the stuff without setting off the sculk sensors. As long as you don’t place the wool onto a scull block, the stuff is completely unheard
5. There should be absolutely no reason to keep your sword in your hotbar, only keep a bow, some eggs, wool, pots, and whatever other tools you need to get around the place. Some sound is ok, but you need to be completely sure that a shrieked isn’t hiding anywhere before breaking anything

Whats probably going to be a problem for the warden is a system set up to purposely create noise which can summon the warden with the shrieker nearby.
My question is if you made noise somewhere else, would it travel to that place only to go back to the system because of the shrieker?

Knock back will probably become everybody's best friend because of the warden; it should be able to provide some time for you to put distance between yourself and the warden.
Seeing the Warden's lair makes me think of having an another dimension in which we can only access in his place.

Counters for warden that could work:
•Slowness arrows
•Fishing rods could work to push him into lava or take fall damage
•Fights in water generally will make him slower
•Remove Skulk Shrieker (block that summon Warden)
•Remove Skulk Sensors(if able to break all will be fantastic because sensors are what he mostly relies on)

I love seeing different people's reactions to the snapshot. Many of them scream in terror from the warden and compare him to a horror movie villain.
I'm loving the look of this update, but I'd like Swift Sneak to be a legging enchant, and not another boot enchant. I really want to see leggings and chest plates get some unique enchantments like boots and helmets have.
while in it self its a good idea i think they are putting alll the movment related enchats to the boots so that the player have to chose, you cant have swift sneak and the fast water walking on same boots for example
@@mechanicer3105 That does make sense. My main issue is that we already have a lot of boot-specific enchants. I would like to see chestplate or legging exclusive enchants, and swift sneak makes sense for leggings.
There should be a one level enchantment called Agility you can put on leggings that makes your sprint speed a bit faster
The wardens noises freak me out so much. They’re such.. anguished sounds. Like some miserable creature trapped, suffering, forced to or otherwise just programmed to kill anything that moves.
Something else interesting, health potions harm it and damage potions heal it. It's like a giant overpowered zombie.
i think swift sneak will also be really good to save on food/hunger while mining too cause you can be crouching and it seems like with that you can keep up with your pickaxe

Imagine a dimension ALL of sculk. A dimension of no creatures besides the warden. Which can pop up at any moment, any time. Trees made from decaying wood.. abandoned villages. Just a world of nothing but death and decay
I love how the warden doesn't feel like the monster created by sculk, but like sculk itself taking a different form to kill you over and over again

Someone tested it on reddit from what I saw and the resistance from turtle master is not nearly enough even with a full netherite armor. It could be funny to just bury the warden in snow though.

turtle master potions do resistance 4 but god apples also do resistance 4 and phil got a bit rekt even with resistance 4 and the god apple so i dont think it will be a good resource
