To be honest, this is the ONLY channel, that puts together golden content fights + music that 'fits' to these videos! It's so good to watch all of this 👍🏻🤜🏻🤛🏻
I am always so impressed by how tough those dudes are.
they start them young
Yeah, it's ridiculous. They basically get hit with baseball bats for round after round
Fighting for a better life
for there families
Born to fight
To them, it quite literally is survival of the fittest. I believe that is why foreign fighters are always that much more mentally capable @@craighaze552 But to fight ones own countryman, it comes to how much food do you want to put on your family's table, how much money do you need, etc.
they are the best in this art..
HBO/showtime need to pick up and promote Muay Thai.
Agree with you
Imagine Muay Thai at MGM or Times Square fucking insane aight to behold
Nah
Most Americans would not get the concept of Muay thai and it’s scoring. They would say it’s boring and it sucks.
Hip-Hop & Muay Thai best combination !
Ya
haha
@@randysembiring9382 .
Yeah but fuck that hope muy thai stay with thier traditional music. Hopefully their culture doesn't get flooded with hip hop culture like other countries.
ANOTHA ONE FROM THE GOAT MUAY THAI HIGHLIGHT CHANNEL!!!
Thanks mate :D
SAMSON and WANGCHANNOI my 2 best muay thai fighters!!!!!!!!!
Love the effort you put in these videos. I've gotten more and more into muay thai then ever before thanks to your channel. Keep it up! 👍👊
samson was a force of nature himself....
He would've made a great MMA fighter as well
The music in your videos is always insane!!
Estas personas que entrenan y se forman desde pequeños, una cultura respetable a la que admirar, sin mencionar su principios, ademas su estilo de combate es uno de los mas duros del planeta y técnico.
Love this.
Thank you for putting this together
Thanks for making these videos! They're very much appreciated.
Music choice as always; perfect.
Namsoknoi...the best life's journey,👌👌👌👍👍👍
Mythical fighters in a mythical time... The best of the best... Impressive, to say the least !!
You have a great taste in music!
Great compilation and dope soundtrack. 👍🏾👍🏾
Idk if you read these comments, but I've been following this page for a few years now and I just wanted to say your videls are so well done. The LoFi in the background and the highlights of some of my favourite fighters keep me coming back. Also, because of this page I have discovered many new fighters. Thanks for all the hard work you put into these 🙏
Thanks for this one
0:22 LOL that push kick sent him into the commentary
Stev O
Saenchai was a savage , the fact that the guy he kicked was Kem Sitsongpeenong ( top 15 best fighters from the post-golden era ) and aftet ko him with a perfect sweep is just nasty ... Kem would later cut Saenchai with his elbow and clinch rape him in a rematch ( two wins for Saenchai and one for Kem ) .
best comment bro!! :""""""DDD
all the music is great thank mate
People out here in the states praise fighters like McGregor who hold a 22 and 5 record and think they are at the pinnacle of combat sports .. they have no earthly idea what goes on in Thailand, these people fight to put food on their table .. not to prance around on TV to talk about how they're the baddest out of a group of bums .. i watch a lot of boxing to and i have more appreciation for those fighters than i do regarding what goes on in the UFC because they also get taught very young and master the art of boxing, UFC is filled ugly shit, know a bit of everything but masters at none .. only a handful make such an impression worth talking about ... thai fighters easily rack up 200 fights well before their mid 20's, they live and breath this shit and its the reason why One right now along with Glory is being dominated by Thai fighters, to beat them you have to sacrifice more than most modern day fighters aren't willing to put on the table these days .. they just don't make em like they do in Thailand, and i've always respected their dedication to this craft ... thank you for displaying the best in the golden era .. its great to review the technique and heart these athletes have and your music selection is always fire .. keep at it!!
Thank you!!!
I love these! Would you do part 3 and 4 showcasing 2000s and 2010s FOTY winners?
Great video.🇨🇱
Spinning elbow at 3:49, FTW.
@trevor cauler
'for the win'
Respect from MÉXICO 🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽
Was pleasure to watch. What a pity Oley never made a FOTY. Such a brilliant fighter. Or Namkabuan.
or Karuhat..
It's not because people didn't want to, it's because you need to be the best fighter of the year, they are legend but for each year someone was better
When i was watching thai fights on K7 video tape back in the days , the commentators called those guys , the " Jet Fighters " from Thailand . They were that impressive for the tiny French i was back then . Great video sorry for my english
Yes,they are HEROES.
Back in days Saenchai striking with his lead leg 😁 Thanks great vid !
fond memories of watching these fighters a it happened on an old Tv at the back of a Muay Thai gym in Chiang mai
HI Ronnie , its your Bestfriend from School Carl Reid, Big Respect to you yr, a Legend i will meet up with and Fiaz, at some point this year for a catch up.
Watching this video religiously, because of the coronavirus outbreak
I dont know why but i find these videos more better than modern muaythai.....these days there are less techniques and tactics...can't even see spinning elbow these days
14:21 Never seen Orono take such a beatin’.......
look's at Kaoponlek fight.. it split his face in two..
Saenchai is máster, pulió y le dio el toque que faltaba al muay thai.
👍 I like Samson Isaan
the music is great
Aww man, that anantasak's soundtrack is awesome as hell. Wish someone would give me the name
1. Namsaknoi
2. Kaoponlek
3. Kaensak
And no Oley here unfortunately.
oh yes.. this is the best.. like my list but i have Kaoponlek on top.. really too dangerous..
Do a samkor highlight please!!!
11:43 he fully kicked that man's soul out his body lmao
Muay Thai Fighter of the Year | 1990-1999
Excellent! Are you going to make one on 00-09 too?
Bruno yes, but not for a while as I'm running out of decades 😁
LOL...
Keep up with the good work!
Muay Thai Scholar Do one for the 60s to 70s , the best decade by far in my opinion .
Joe Rogue I would have started with those but there are too many missing fighters! It's a real shame.
Muay Thai Scholar yep , also did you saw my new Samart boxing fight ? I thought as you will soon be uploading his boxing career that would be a clear opportunity , if you haven't here it is ruclips.net/video/kgMHFZdQed8/видео.html
Top
Amazing video, I love the idea of music and video with no narrator. Good job mate.
Kaoponlek and Namsaknoi FTW!
kaoponlek is so dangerous.. fuk..
golden age
0:27 THAT is respect
The Golden Age, greatest collection of Muay Fighters in any decade! The only thing I have question on was Samson Isaan - most of the highlight film was him throwing haymakers and throwing guys down in the clinch. It seems like he would get beat easily by more technical fighters like the other Fighters of the Year. Maybe I am missing something?
Mike Smithson He was extremely tenacious and relentless .
Kind of like today's Rodtung or the late great Porsanae both are fighter that most believe would get outclassed but yet they all are extremely dangerous , they may get schooled for 3-4 round but their gas tank is enough to pull a ko or outlast their opponents .
Samson tactic is to lures his opponent into a brawl and ko them by being more resilient and tougher than them .
The highlight don't show that but he had a very good boxe and was a ko artist, he had very powerful hand ruclips.net/video/j7hiHE2IW6M/видео.html
Late 80's till mid 90's is full of killers. Bad to the Bone !!
Bom Bap, elbows, knees, feet, head and hands...that is all.
saenchai read people so easily. so different from KO monster samson and wangchoannoi
Ben Peng Saenchai is a fuck up Fighter , he is an idiot , does not respect the fight 🐷🐷🐷🧠🧠🧠
@@Mrranchuranchu No u.
Saenchai have a bling bling/flashy style and because of that people think he is the best, but wangchannoi destroy saenchai for sure, not on the same level
hey heyyy you want fighter who good at reads people with high fight IQ, meet chamuekpet and samart. samart just dancing and no needs power only brain. chamuekpet had it all, power, brain and technique
Orono fuckung living Legend , i Love him
PS ge destroyed Raymond deckker
Senchai 1999 - 2022 beast killer
3:49 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I love namsokoi
Wangchannoi had heavy hands
9:23 HELLBOW
10:22 if Nate Diaz was respectful enough to actually show the referee a cut he just caused 😂
👏👏👏👏👏🥊🥊🇧🇷
i was told thailand pinsinchai was 1998, i didnt know kow pong lek was ever fighter of the year, i was offered a fight with him once in italy . i knew i was well out of my depth and turned it down
paul lunney
Never fight Kaoponglek , even past his prime and semi retired he was probably the most dangerous counter striker in all of Muay Thai with perfect elbows , kicks , punches and fight IQ .
The fact that he ran out of fight in Thailand just prove how good he is .
you did well.. he's so underrated..
What happens to these guys 10 and 20 years later? Do their fighting injuries disable them today?
Floyd Maxwell No , for a number of reasons : simply put because the damage received is throughout the body not concentrate on the skull , their training is extremely intelligent and when they spare they only go all out in the clinch not for striking , speaking of striking they go all out only on the pad the bag is there only to perfect one's techniques and rhythm for each strike ( it's kind of rare to see a pro thai go 80 to 100 percent on the bag , most go between 20 to 50 , on the pad it's between 60 to 100 ) .
Thanks for the info, Joe. Glad to hear they have such a smart approach.
Floyd Maxwell Did you know that Kaoponglek ( the fifth fighter in this video ) was Giorgio Petrosyan master ? Shocking right , the guy married an Italian woman and speak italian .
He also was one of the few thai fighter ( Dieselnoi and Samart was one of them ) who was so dominant that no one wanted to fight him ( he posses 100 win by ko ) .
Petrosyan seems like a genius, who fights. Gentlely dismembering, slippery like an eel. Now I see the Muay Thai in him.
Floyd Maxwell Who did you thought won the fight between him and Buakaw ?
6:14 hitting sumthin like a Dutchie
Anyone ever notice how much more damage Thais can take before bleeding?
3:43
Samson never heard of pacing yourself during a run!!!
Don’t you know Samson operates at 200% of his power every fight
🤣🤣🤣
13:27
No 3:50 que lindo
12:28 HOLY SHIT
i think orono defeated namkabwan
I hate cardiovascular exercise.
Atleast your honest 😂😂
Most of these fighters are Laotians
@@muaythaischolar HAHA .
Lao always clam things that aren't true lol .
Kind of like Cambodian saying Buakaw , Changpuek Singdam , Superlek and Kongsak are all Khmer .
In Thai we have a saying : Not Cambodia , it's CLAIMmodia 🤣😂 .
Let's talk FACTS
75%+ of Lao ethnic is in Thailand (22+ millions Thai Isan people), not in Laos country (~7 millions).
70%+ of Khmer empire became Thailand today, only its small part became today Cambodia. The Khmer is indisputably one of Thai's ancestry.
When any of Thai cultures became globally famous, the Cambodians and Laotians just false-claim Thai's workmanships via their PROPAGANDA HISTORY decorated by their corrupted politicians who almost did nothing to develop their own countries, just steal Thai's workmanships.
That the facts, guys.
They fight for thailand, though.
