I'll have to try this place, the food looks great. Up to now, our go-to for old school Italian food has been Nora's Italian Cuisine on Flamingo & Duneville. My guess is you've already been there, but if you haven't, give it a shot. It's VERY popular among the locals.
Hi! Thanks for the comment. Yes, Nora's is a good place...been there several times. Check out our video where we rate 5 Italian places in Vegas: ruclips.net/video/UxKJeJMnF5E/видео.html We also did a separate full video on Esther's Kitchen: studio.ruclips.net/user/videogHNmyNjrja4/edit Enjoy!!
The name Bootlegger conjured up several ideas but not an Italian restaurant that’s for sure…. Another wonderful review. That impersonation of a Lasagna was a far cry from a real an Italian one that’s for sure!!!! The other food looked amazing!!! Congrats on hitting 7 K you guys are rockin it!!!!
Same! I had heard of this place for a number of years and never thought it was an Italian restaurant. Glad I decided to look into it more and give them a try, 😋😋
Great review my friend.. just got back from Vegas. 6 nights at the Rio. Funny seeing this review. Local friends took us to Bootleggers on Wednesday! Excellent from the ambiance, food and service. Had the veal marsala, very good . The calamari and mussels were also on point as our apps ! Marinara was also great. I like to jazz it up with crushed red pepper for the calamari. Also went to the Garden Buffet on your recommendation primarily for the prime rib ! Excellent actually went twice . That South Point is a mega casino wow . Absolutely packed. Have you been to the oyster bar ? It was jammed not a seat available.... also went to Nora's Italian on W. Flamingo. Went on Monday night and I thought it was a Friday packed. Got in rite away though in the back patio . Delightful seating. Had the calamari app with a bowl of thier marinara, wow even better than Bootleggers and thiers was good. So I ordered 16oz bone in veal chop parm ! I was in heaven being a parm guy from east coast. My partner got the regular veal parm which was also on point as well . Great service and ambience. And of course prices were normal (if thier is a normal nowadays). Lol . Avoid the strip at all costs ...❤❤❤
Wow...that all sounds great! Nora's is on our list of places to check out so glad to hear you liked it. Yes, Southpoint is quite the spot these days...we go there often when a prime rib fixe is needed, lol. Thanks for supporting our channel!! 💖💖
6:00 I'd kill for some home made spinach stuffed raviolis! It's true what someone once said, they're two types of people in the world Italians, and those who wish they were Italian. I love Italian cuisine!❤👍
Same! Earlier this year I made a large batch of "spinach and ricotta" filled ravioli with homemade pasta. I froze them away and have been having them throughout the Summer. It's about time to make another batch! Thanks for watching and commenting. You should check out our latest video where we go to 5 different well known Italian restaurants here in Vegas, I think you'd greatly enjoy it:ruclips.net/video/UxKJeJMnF5E/видео.html
I’m with you on dried oregano. I dislike it immensely when over used.Love fresh basil. The majority of the food looked good. Ty for another great review.😊
I have to stop but I'll return its just making me too hungry. There's a local radio show that runs out of Bootleggers the name of which escapes me. Anyway it looks super tasty again, I'll return and I have to go there but off for now friends.
I have been in Vegas over 30 years now. the Bootlegger is pretty good. But the old Capozzoli's on Maryland Parkway and Desert Inn was the best place in town. hands down. its where old Vegas went to eat Italian, the walls were covered with pick of the rat pack, and the famous headliners of the strip back in the day. the food was spectacular. The original owner retired and sold it back in the late 90s, the food went downhill, and it unfortunately burned down in 2007. Capozzoli's had the best lasagna I have ever eaten. Bootlegger is really good, but Capo's was better. I would also Highly recommend Ventano's out on Horizon Ridge and Arroyo Grande in Henderson. one of my favorite Italian dishes is an Oso Buco. the one at Farros is good and so is the one at Sinatra, the one at bootlegger doesn't even qualify to be called an Oso Buco. was very disappointed in it. it was like thin cut medallions with a bone in it. every restaurant has something that is great and something that is just not right. and at boot legger it the Oso Buco that just wrong. however, everything else I have had there is pretty good. and my wife love the calamari, and I will definitely go back, I just won't be ordering the Oso Buco.
Agreed, many restaurants have only a single dish on which to hang their hat. Bootlegger has more than a single dish but I totally agree with you about the Calamari. I didn't get the ossobuco but I believe what you're saying. I did get the Lasagna and it was pathetic and we noted that in our video. I have a 'best of' Italian video coming out soon. i won't spoil the drama, but I think you'll agree with my ordering and the top dog. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Bootleggers used to have a great deal family dinner for $55 on Uber eats. 4 huge chicken parm with pasta bread and salad. Then they got rid of the pasta salad and bread for same price. Not cool.
Well, you can't order everything! I love stuffed mushrooms but had other things on my mind to try their. Next time I'll definitely get them. As for Pizza Rock, yes, have had theirs and it's very good as well.
If the service isn’t wonderful I can’t be there I just want to feel feel welcome I will tip well for having a wonderful time but if you do really care I wouldn’t want to be there ss

It’s only been, uh, 14 years or so since I’ve been in the Bootlegger. Maybe it’s time to go back. Thanks for the reminder.
Yes, you definitely should! Apart from the cold employees it's very good food!
The customer service sucks bad... Have had bartenders manipulate prices on the bill to overcharge
Hi guys. I've heard so many good things about Bootgeggers. Yum, the Calamari friti. It's also so good here in Morro Bay. Hugs, Karla in Cali.
Thank you , Karla! Yes, don't miss out on Bootlegger if you get a chance...especially the calamari, 😋😋. Thanks for supporting our channel, 😁😁💖

Have you dined at Ferraro’s ? It is incredible, and it is worth flying out from Cleveland.

You should do your recipes
We do have two videos on our channel in which I show a few recipes! We have decided not to continue to do that, however, as it confuses RUclips, lol
Where is your restaurant in Vegas?
No restaurant in Vegas. We had a place in West Hollywood for many years. Thanks for watching!
@@LetsEatVegasWhy are you comparing your food to Bootlegger when your restaurant shut down 20 years ago?
Chicken parm looked great. I'd rather do veal parm.
Veal....YUMM, sign me up! 😋😋😁😁

Wow, that was a good deal. I guess the economy in recent years has made that type of thing impossible to continue, 😔
These videos are so 80s nostalgic dam
😁😁 Thanks for watching!
Give me Alfredo sauce
Agreed! I love Alfredo sauce, 😋😋
You went there and didn't get the stuffed mushroom appetizer? And Pizza Rock has better calamari.
Well, you can't order everything! I love stuffed mushrooms but had other things on my mind to try their. Next time I'll definitely get them. As for Pizza Rock, yes, have had theirs and it's very good as well.
This food looked amazing and made me so hungry, you were right about the lasagne, it looked really bad.
Same here...I just put up a pan of sauce for tomorrow, lol. Yes, the lasagna was really bad, 😔. But, so many other fantastic food!
I'm not really a marinara fan .
Hmmm, didn't know that was a thing, lol
Lol yeah, its the tomato base that gets me.@LetsEatVegas
What's with the excessive amount of cheese on everything?
They'll put on as little or as much as you like. Thanks for watching.
What's w the contempt towards others who aren't like you?

Agreed, the service can really diminish the experience, but, if you go with a group you can ignore that and still have a good time!
