Random tip. If a teammate has been downed and killed, when you ‘heal’ them, you can do it in stages, the progress you make doesn’t disappear if you have to stop to take cover/kill AI etc. so you can take your time, the whole revive bar doesn’t have to be done in one go. Considering it takes a reasonable time. That pretty handy.
They should remove being able to be revived when killed. Maybe add a special item that can do it or at the very least require the Revive Pistol, but squads shouldn't be able to revive indefinitely for free. The only reason it's like it is now is to not force a party to have to be spectating for 20 minutes, but that's just how it goes. I mostly play solo because the mission system of pick 3 of 105 possible missions is terrible for playing with randoms. I'm on tier 5 and queuing with people still excited to get a dog tag and want to immediately extract. If I play with a team, I pretty much have to abandon any hope of completing my missions until they extract and I stay behind finally able to play more stealthy. I usually end up just using then as bait because they run around shooting every bot they see, making a ton of noise, attracting attention, and take no suggestions from someone with 100+ extracts, most at the final extract, and unlocked all 3 insured weapons slots playing solo.
I made friends with an enemy team at the final extraction.... We boated to the western docks and I ran up to the final extract heli yelling on proximity comms with my fists out, "Friendly! FRIENDLY, I put my gun away, I'd just like to extract with my gear please!" They were chill and we partied up as a 6 person squad after we agreed we were friendly. It was the most wild extraction and I appreciated the players being friendly to me and my squad mate! Who would've thought diplomacy would've been possible in a Call of Duty game??
Was solo at 2nd last exfil and met a 6 man squad as I was saying “friendly” Seemed mostly chill at first got up in the air with them and one douchbag decided to take me out while the heli starting going up and we were all inside and had already previously agreed to be friendly. Wish I would have just bounced to the last exfil - lesson learned. Hope he feels good about it as karmas a biatch for that type of player…
Good thing it wasn't the squad I queue with lmao A buddy of mine responds the same way any time he hears "Friendly!" "Well I'm not" and proceeds to gun them all down 😅
One more tip for ya'll, if the bodies of the players you killed are still there and don't disappear after a minute or so, that probably means they still haven't disconnected and probably still have a teammate somewhere waiting for you to either leave or present yourself for easy kills. Once their bodies disappear and only their guns and backpacks are left, that is the best time to loot them.
Pro Tip: if you are on the final 4th extract take a look at the map. If there are no "hunt team" contracts then either you are the last team or everyone did them all (unlikely). There will only be hunt missions on the map as long as there are a minimum of two teams still alive.
Random tip. If you are down but you have a self rev kit and a teammate nearby use your self rev but not all the way, like 90-95% for a faster rev. It is very useful imo.
Small tip for solo and maybe even squad players. Shotguns work really well for all types of A.I. especially when clearing strongholds. The armored bots carry the Bryson 800 and it's great for close quarters. I use it so I don't burn up primary ammo reserves fighting bots. I keep 2 in contraband most of the time.
no, just no armoured ai take atleast 2 shot point blank or even 3-4 for tier 3 ai and they deal stupid amount of damage at that range plus they CANT be staggered too oh yea, you need to get close too and shotgun typically dont do well vs horde of enemy which is normal for DMZ unless you want to clear DMZ stronghold as fast as possible go with the safe option with mid-long range weapon, yes SMG count too. though i normally use SMG for PVP
@@rizas6904 the only shotgun that works remotely well vs ai is that double barrelled one, try using that pump action on the high end armored ones and you will get smoked, so yeah I agree.
Final exfil tip. Check the contracts on the map. If there’s no more hunt contracts on the map that means you’re the final team. If there is, be ready for a fight at the final exfil
You can also try make peace with enemies if you can during final extractions. If they are not willing to communicate and shoot you or teammates, then prepare to fight them.
@@davidjr3658 I had a hunt squad out on me as I was going to final exfil other day. Rest of my squad timed our or got dropped from game. Arrived at final exfil and squad hunting me was waiting but felt bad I was solo and watched me run a marathon to get get to final exfil. They squaded me up and let me exfil.
Stodeh, I've watched a TON of other youtubers post about DMZ but this is by far, the most concise and accurate video. Will be reccomending this video to everyone I know who's been struggling in the DMZ. Thanks for making it easier for friends from sortie to exfil.
Excellent presentation without the overused hyperbole and yelling that most tubers do. Very sound advice and inline with most everything I think and do (even though I'm an average player) and you also had some ideas I hadn't thought of. Well done.
I play solo and the self revive is essential....i've used it many times when the AI has knocked me and is simply walking around my body, don't move to much and get ready for a shootout and quick exit and all is gravy....🤟
@@redmenaceuk This used to be a lot easier than it is now. AI used to mostly ignore downed players but they will kill you off real quick if there are no other targets around, now.
Top tip: When your in a vehicle it’s shows up red on the map to enemy players. Taking an armoured truck at least makes you a bit stealthier…they’re the only ground vehicles AI use
Actually any enemy vehicle, AI and player, will show up on the map/minimap, but one can usually easily identify players cuz AI only rides the armored pickup truck and in a very "programed" *lol* way... players are more erratic riding any vehicle, but if its not the pickup then surely they are players... you are right tho, riding the pickup truck is a bit stealthier, also safer cuz is armored and sits 4 inside... XD
@@maximumeffort2381 just bear in mind, even if you "drive like" the AI, is rather easy to be spotted cuz there're cues other than the map alone... Many players are using scopes (on snipers or otherwise) and a quick look @ the back of the truck will give it away (AI always take a full party on the back lol). Noise is another, if you're close enough to hear the truck's (or any vehicle's for that matter) engine running, when AI exits the vehicle they'll turn off the engine immediately, players can't do that, so when they exit marker will go from red to greenish or whatever but the engine will keep running for a while (will turn off eventually tho) One another are AI fire, they only shoot at players, if they are shooting at a vehicle it's guaranteed to players.. cheers
Untrue as of a recent Season 2 update (March 2023): AI now show up in all sorts of vehicles - cargo trucks, hatchbacks, and chop tops just in the last week -INCLUDING vehicle skins (red hatchback, yellow armored truck…)
@@deanc818 not "untrue", was true at the time, even if recently patched/modified... it remains true since patches cannot rewrite history, you show understanding of this since you mentioned the patch date... so please use verbiage correctly to convey what you wanna say... regarding the change itself, I haven't played since season 1 so can't really elaborate too deeply, but that sounds like a very good patch... during my play I found it was too easy to differentiate players from AI, one way being paying attention to vehicles types running around... one other change I would love to see is AI engaging other AI, cuz last time I've played AI only engaged players, so hearing firefights meant players would be involved, either PvE or PvP engagements... at the very beginning playing solo wasn't (too) challenging , but since players getting wise to those little details, solo play was too painful to be worth, at least for me... (lore wise is more than justifiable, since there're different factions present, those could and arguably should, fight each other)... And I mean, AI could even engage without doing any DMG to each other...
As a solo who needs kills for certain missions, I have some advice. Once the helicopter is off the ground, watch the front windshield. There's a small place someone can stand on the front of the windshield and it's very easy to mow down an unsuspecting squad once the helicopter takes off. I haven't had a single squad notice and I've wiped at least half a dozen full squads this way.
if you are just extracting, just let them extract. You won't get their loot anyway. So everyone will have their fun. I don't always take the kill, only if necessary for survival. I know it's a pvp with a mixed Ai game mode but lets just be honest here, everyone playing DMZ just wants to relax and play a chill game. Be cool.
There’s the odd occurrence where you an your mates will be in a heated gun battle with another squad, only to squad up and go on with a squad of 6 and have a great match....Al Mazra is your oyster
@@talksicfuk5672 I don't get how that is a great match. You'll get zero missions done. The only mission this works for is No Rushin because there was a time when everyone was rushing to the airport typing I just want the helicopters. The problem with squads, is everyone has 3 random missions out of the 105 available. They need to remove the pick 3 missions system and just treat them similar to challenges that have been unlocked. Any unlocked mission can be completed at any time. The reason I play solo is because it's the only way to get missions done. Believe it or not, it's overall way faster to Control 3 SAM Sites at the same time playing solo than it is with a random squad. I tried to get a team to help with that at least 10 times. I finally gave up and did it solo on my 2nd try.
love the DMZ content. Im SUPER addicted to this mode right now and love consuming content about it, even tho this was mostly stuff i knew, it was helpful and entertaining. thanks Stod!
i usually just broadcast 150-200m away to tell people i'm not a thread and just doing missions and proceed to send a join squad invite. it works for the most part because most people are still learning or just want to extract as well. "no one has to die here today!"
Used to do that all the time, works maybe 30% of the time, some people will just kill you and steal your chopper , I don’t get that. Just extract together
@@Blaze-ko3ts i got lucky on the final extract chopper once. I was the first one there and was facing towards the front of the heli. When i turn around there's a 3 man team aboard as well. I was so scared that they were gonna light me up, but we just extracted together.
I keep proximity chat off and kill anything that moves because it could be busted AI that might beam me later, so this doesn't work for me. I've probably killed several squads that may have otherwise been friendly lol
Another thing before last extract, as long as the radiation zone has not reached one of the 3 regular extraction zones after you clicked it, and Dino 4 (the extract helicopter) announces they can see the LZ then you can still extract there, the chopper will still arrive. If you click it a bit too late, the radiation zone reaches the extract location before they announce that, then you're going to have to run or drive to another one or the last extraction.
Yeah it's a good video. I think the only missed tip that is essential to know is that holding the ping button (up on D pad for Xbox) allows you to join enemy squad/request enemy players. You need to be close enough & this means you can hear the players already. I've used a join up successfully many times even with players talking a foreign language. Remember, if someone screams "friendly friendly" when you approach an exfil, it may just be one person on the squad with 2 random hostile players. Until someone joins, don't fully trust them & do not allow them to look at you straight on & be on your guard. I'd say my second tip is more of advice. If you join/request teammates & have a squad of 6, rather than start celebrating & dancing around, go do missions & take on some hunt contracts before you lose too much time. Also, don't get too enthusiastic that you'll slaughter all enemy teams. As eluded to in the video, high ground/smart combat is still important. I remember pushing a squad on a hunt & all 6 of us parachuted to the target in the open & we all dog dropped like flies & couldn't believe what was happening. Remember to distribute the gear fairly in the team, buy someone plates or a self res. Obviously also, as the squad size increases, you all can loot quicker but it still needs effective distribution. Last thing to say is that if you're near the train at the start, possibly grab a vehicle & dash to it but beware that other players may come because it's noisy & has high loot. The airport is a great starting place but AQ is tough & enemy squads may go there & there as it has akind of a "one way in, one way out" which makes you suceptible to ambush. Enjoy the DMZ & keep it all friendly 💀🔫🇹🇭
One small tip is to know which buildings have vertical lockers as those have a high rate of 2 plate vest and medium backpack in them. While workers container accomodations in Rohan Oil have a lot of them, they are also in plenty of warehouses, fire depts (only 2 lockers though), and even some small guard houses (like ones at the northern edge of Rohan). Honestly they are almost everywhere which means you have a chance to regain base items early on, without needing to reach your favorite location first (I used south of Rohan a lot when I was learning dmz). Also it is good to remember how the clinic building looks and where are the other ones aside of the northern one thats between Quarry and Rohan, since it is the one that is most visited by players (not to mention there is a starting point there and missions related dumpster nearby). Also as Stodeh mentioned, be mindful of where the rescue contract is - I sat on Said Mall's roof doing missions when rescue heli landed aside the building... Well, thanks to that I finished my kill 3 players in the Mall mission (killing enemies outside of the mall counts if you are in/on the roof).
Random tip No2. Can't open supply crates dropped from planes, change your interact setting to tap to reload (worth adding this as a quick access setting)
You and Lupo are the only streamers I watch that have figured out that this game mode is much more deep than just shooting AI. You can play this mode so many different ways. Some games I just hunt Operators and other games when I want to chill I avoid them or team up with another squad and load up on loot to extract.
Tip For the last heli, if there is another Team then try to invite Them to your Team, works almost every time, you dont lose your stuff and its a Happy End for all Just tell them in proximity Chat
the spotter scope is useful in thermal mode for picking out the real players. I check out the known spawn points when I start to see where they are moving to. Can either avoid or go after them. If I’m having a quick game in between parental duties I often just take a sniper and try to ruin someone’s game. Yes I’m that guy
I knew a fair amount of this, but a like for the simple easy to understand dialogue, text to point out other tips and I didn’t know about grey markers for real team damage so cheers 😊
I would like if they added in like a “market type system before infiling, like all the cash i exfil is useless if i have my insurance guns already. Also all the kill streaks and stuff. I would like if they allowed us to keep in an market type inventory to store 1-bag, armor vest, KS
Note that in season 2 or 3 they made it so the self revive gets used before the pistol. This is great since now you can keep two methods of revive always active, and you can revive yourself part way to make it faster for your squad to get you up with the self revive without accidentally using your pistol.
I've owned this game for 24 hours and love DMZ. Out of the several videos I've watched about this game, yours has got to be the best by a mile. Thank you 🤤.
A good tip I think should be included is team up with other squads anytime you get the opportunity to. Every time I have teamed up with other people I've extracted with loads of gear.
Exactly. I get kind of annoyed at people that play dmz like a warzone sweat tbh. Personally, I wish they would remove the hunt squad contracts and replace it with something else to further differentiate dmz from warzone. I get that there are a couple faction missions that make you kill other operators, but I think that's where it should stop.
Sincerely shocked you didn't have a billion crashes. I can't play for more than an hour or two without Dev errors. The one and only time I even tried to play DMZ, my game crashed and I lost everything. Haven't touched it since.
Yeah I couldn't play 2 rounds in a row without a dev error or a straight disconnect when it came out, but since the updates I hadn't had a single dev error. Try it out again, it's fun.
This is literally the best DMZ guide I've watched. I found DMZ to be so confusing, and other videos didn't help this at all. This video makes the objectives, functions, and priorities simple to understand. Thanks
I'm going to tell you this because it works every single time I take an RPG and if I don't have a gun I just grab one but with RPG when the AI helicopter comes in if you can get underneath it or if you're a good shot you can hit the cockpit where the guys are and it will instantly kill every single one and the chopper won't even land

I really wish I watched this before several hours of ceaseless dying and respawning with nothing!!! Lol. Thank you for the sage advice. I am now a subscriber! 😊
heres a lesser known one, when it says "activity is increasing in the area" or something like that, real players are getting closer to your position, not necessarily bots. i have had many cases where players kill me after it says that.
If you go down at the heli exfil, you should be able to crawl onto the heli.. so many times I’ve been going for exfil & the AI beams me right as I’m about the board the heli & then I can’t crawl on board & that’s it.. all my work over..
Pro tip: you can actually parachute down from a building/mountain on top of the exfil helo, landing on the rotors, not necessarily entering inside the helo. Even if an enemy team is also inside already.
Can confirm. Have done it a couple times. Also on the side of the helo, there's those areas on the side that extend out. You can get on there and go prone. People inside can't see you.
@@stevebassett8438 False! The people inside can see you! I've been murdered on the wing twice, now. Of course both times I opened fire on them first, and obviously got what I deserved. But still, they can see you.
@@freddykripper7385 Yeah, you're probably right. But normally they don't because they are looking out the back or side doors, or laying down inside to take cover. Guess I've been lucky the times I've done it. But I wasn't starting any shit either LOL, I was just trying to get out safe.
This was SUCH a good video and I’ve got a good half dozen extracts and several hours in the game. Always read every bullet point on a quest - on my first stronghold quest which I did SOLO I SOLD the lotus intel meaning I had to do it AGAIN because I didn’t read it properly. Thanks for the vid Stod x
I play solo most of the time and I’ve learned a drone is good for extraction too. After you call the chopper find a spot to hide and used to drone to watch for AI or other players.
Another tip for solo play: try to use proximity chat when you know other player should hear you or when you drive by! Most solo players respond back and are friendly! BUT If you hear nothing (especially if it's a team) better go away or prepare to engage AND ALWAYS talk from cover or down the player and ask questions later if you suddenly surprised by one! I was surprised how many (especially solo) players actually didn't want to fight!
You don't necessarily need a vehicle to extract. The 5 times I've played it was fairly easy if you just play it super safe and hold a point near the helicopter. Also if you get downed in the chopper while its rising into the sky you still get the extract
well laddie, a whole 5 times played?? that ain't an awful lot, eh!? Like Stodeh, I've 100+ extractions (& the sticker as proof) which, by my math, means I've played some 150+ times... his tips (yeah including the vehicle) are to increase your chances of a successful exfil... having a vehicle is important cuz allows you to scout fast but be able to bail if shady, also provides mobile cover, you also can leave to block certain spots and even use as a makeshift trap (if it's highly damaged)... but yeah you don't need one, you don't need plates either... heck you don't even need a gun and will still be able to extract, if you choose your time and/or have some luck... just gonna say, there's probably a reason behind 100+ successful exfils... cheers XD P.S.: my buddy often plays as a solo ambusher, he goes in w\ the sole purpose of ambushing players trying to exfil. A couple of flashbangs and semtex paired w\ a LMG he doesn't even need a 3 plate vest to finish trios cuz they are so comfortable and sure of the extraction, alas if you get *killed* even after the chopper lifts off you won't exfil. He got half of his weapon crates stealing from players @ the last 3-4 secs countdown... and he's just an example of what you can encounter in DMZ... XD
your buddy sounds like a weak, sad little man. does he also camp out to mug grannies when their SS checks arrive ? lame bottom feeders like that should get kicked from the game
If you are looking for a quick way to get back in the game and restock, hit up a Raid contract. Just try to get a 2 plate vest first and a bunch of plates or do it with a friend, AI are pretty tough. This will generally net you a large bag, 3 plate vest, self res, gas mask and a bunch of cash. Plus a decent contraband gun.
I appreciate this tip. On regain rounds I usually hit up the ammo depot buildings for the vest and go hit a buy for plates. Gonna add this to my regain route
First tip needs an edit. If you take in your insured weapon in the secondary slot without anything in primary then it never goes on cool down even if you die. This has helped me the most as I can always take in one good weapon every round no matter what happened in the one before it.
Okay so I wasn’t fully listening because I was playing multiplayer at the time but one thing I will say is that some keys are extremely useful while others are not, most building will have set spawn points where loot can spawn, either being items, like a good bar or wine, or a crate either being normal or rare. And some keys will give you other keys in the next location, such as the HMS key will give you the drifting supply bag and a 12k skull, and the drifting supply bag will give you 75k and a letter worth nothing every time. That’s 87k which is enough for a 3 plate and large backpack and a decent gun and a self revive. Great way to get gear back. My advice is to learn these key spots and how useful they are to you and stack up on those. Also pertaining to keys, stronghold keycards are amazing. I don’t go into a game without one. Stock up at least 2 rows of them to make sure you don’t and won’t run out. Strongholds usually spawn very close to player spawns so if your careful you can get good loot that way too.
One more thing about keys, the hotel employee fridge key will always give you 3 guns most of the time if not all will be 3-5 attachment guns. It is located above the town center in ashika island. If you are looking on your map on the first floor. This hotel also contains room 403, a key I find hard to get. But a good one nonetheless.
The #1 tip is don’t exfil when the game tells you. Either go earlier or later. Amount of players that hear “the radiation is spreading we need to get out” then rush to the closest exfil, expecting others not to do the same and then cry that they’re camping exfils. Smh lol
I have likewise had the most luck when extracting almost immediately upon entering after regearing, or at the very last exfil possible. It may not be everyone's experience, but I have only had one game where there was another person at the last exfil.
Thanks, fairly new and and I always take my best gun in from the start, won’t be doing that now I’ve watched this video, now so much sense. Great little tutorial, thanks. 👍🏻
Thanks heaps i dont have much time to play warzone and DMZ, between work and family life om lucky to get in a few hours a week playing multiplayer small maps. This helped me a lot understanding how DMZ works. I need to play it to get a gun from the pharmacist.
Pretty sure the grey damage indicator is when you take damage to your armour not health, not damage from players? Red damage indicator is for health (obv)
I had a DMZ extract recently where our team of 3 was getting attacked by another online team. I naturally responded with a counter attack and downed all 3 enemies by flanking since one of my teammates was downed. No one yelled friendly friendly, then my team joined them and revived them. Their squad of now 5 just all aim weapons at me and thirst me before exfil without sending invite or saying anything. They wanted my sniper. It was the most baffling betrayal I’ve ever witnessed.
Keep in mind, the hostage at the center of the map will call a helicopter behind a locked door or ladder you cant climb with. Otherwise really good advice.
This can actually be bypassed by dropping the hostage next to the ladder and picking it up again while prone on the box next to it - then repeat with dropping the hostage on the box and picking it up while prone on top of the ladder.
So when doing a hostage contract, the player carrying the hostage will not be able to enter vehichles. Stod did say to get ON a vehichle, but just to clarify; try and have the player who's holding the hostage get on top of some sort of half wall and then hop onto the top on the vehichle. This makes the whole procedure a lot more streamlined. Top kek content here Stoddy
tip: You can duplicate munitions boxes only if you equipped them in you load out before deploying in DMZ. 1 use the munitions box first and the go to you backpack and right click the box where the munitions box and it should drop out an extra munitions box but you can only do this at every start of a DMZ match i haven't tested this on others like battle rage and such.
Be wary of hostile squads! I was determined to take a particular exfil regardless of the hostile squad. As i approached I heard, "Don't worry we won't hurt you." Then they killed me. I figured they would, and they did.

Using the vehicle at exfil is risky because everyone in the area will know you’re there. I use the Jack Links ghillie skin and go slow, making sure the exfil is safe at a distance, activating it, and then finding somewhere nearby to lay down and wait for the chopper. I can’t count how many times another team has downed me team at exfil because they were in a vehicle or running around while the team has completely ignored me laying low. People try to play too fast and overlook a lot, it’s easy to take them out from laying low than to run around and be sighted.
Stodeh, don't forget that you can also land on top of the heli as a last resort too. I've done this by jumping from high rise and radio towers plenty of times. I'm waiting for when they update it so that the blades kill you outright though but they don't put it in the patch notes. 🤣

Looting the dogtags is something that adds $10k+ to each of my runs. If you’re feeling confident, take the risk and be tracked when a team is still partially alive. But it’s just free money at the point you wipe a squad. It can also work as a good bait, if the player holding dogtags runs to a nearby buy station and the teammates hold on the bodies you get a lot of cheesy kills. I just wish we could do something, anything, with spare backpacks and armours. If you could sell them or extract them it would add a lot imo. Currently the only “good” things you extract are weapons that you can’t even take attachments off of, which causes me to delete a lot of my stash regularly..
Use the prox chat! If you are running solo and need to extract just yell friendly. Works more often than you think especially if you are solo/not totally kitted out
Don't forget you can hop on the heli sides or on the top to extract like a ninja or that if a player's body is still on the floor, that means his teammates are still alive and about to revive him. When the body disappears, you're good to go.
Great tips, the only tip I’d say I advise against trying is the vehicle tip. Vehicles for getting to extraction are great but traversing the map for objectives is a sure fire way to get annihilated by teams who are hunting teams in vehicles. You’re an easy target in a vehicle, even more so if it’s not armored. 4 wheelers and the SxS are death traps, they’re almost never worth taking unless you desperate. Parachute points will get you more places quicker and quieter. Tops of towers, tall buildings, cell phone towers are all great places to climb and jump from.
I was looking at the loading screen yesterday, talking to my 2 team mates and making a plan, then the game crashed…I lost my xfil streak, keys, weapons, etc…I love and hate this game

If a teammate has been downed and killed, when you ‘heal’ them, you can do it in stages, the progress you make doesn’t disappear if you have to stop to take cover/kill AI etc. so you can take your time, the whole revive bar doesn’t have to be done in one go. Pro Tip: if you are on the final 4th extract take a look at the map. If there are no "hunt team" contracts then either you are the last team or everyone did them all (unlikely). There will only be hunt missions on the map as long as there are a minimum of two teams still alive.
Thanks for the heads up
Unless they’ve all been taken
Random tip. If you are down but you have a self rev kit and a teammate nearby use your self rev but not all the way, like 90-95% for a faster rev. It is very useful imo.
Doesn't it get used anyway then? At least with the pistol that's the case
The pistol cannot be cancelled
So it only works on the self rev kit
@@lastnamefirstname8031 Yep
Small tip for solo and maybe even squad players. Shotguns work really well for all types of A.I. especially when clearing strongholds. The armored bots carry the Bryson 800 and it's great for close quarters. I use it so I don't burn up primary ammo reserves fighting bots. I keep 2 in contraband most of the time.
no, just no
armoured ai take atleast 2 shot point blank or even 3-4 for tier 3 ai and they deal stupid amount of damage at that range plus they CANT be staggered too
oh yea, you need to get close too and shotgun typically dont do well vs horde of enemy which is normal for DMZ
unless you want to clear DMZ stronghold as fast as possible go with the safe option with mid-long range weapon, yes SMG count too. though i normally use SMG for PVP
@@rizas6904 Wrong. Play before you comment.
@@toogoodinc i am playing, atm at tier 4 on each faction mission
Just test it yourself if you dont believe me, those AI HP is ridiculous
@@rizas6904 the only shotgun that works remotely well vs ai is that double barrelled one, try using that pump action on the high end armored ones and you will get smoked, so yeah I agree.
@@rizas6904 I second that. Shotguns cycle way too slow and your tactical advantage of space and cover is gone with them.

@@cody85245 Interesting take: What's your hot tips then?
Excellent presentation without the overused hyperbole and yelling that most tubers do.
Very sound advice and inline with most everything I think and do (even though I'm an average player) and you also had some ideas I hadn't thought of. Well done.
This game mode had a viscous learning curve for a solo player like me. Still very fun and addictive 👍
Agreed, i really enjoy this mode, but going in solo, bro…. This mode has tested my rage so many time 🤣🤣🤣
Solo is the most frustrating, the most difficult, but the most rewarding
I play solo and the self revive is essential....i've used it many times when the AI has knocked me and is simply walking around my body, don't move to much and get ready for a shootout and quick exit and all is gravy....🤟
@@redmenaceuk This used to be a lot easier than it is now. AI used to mostly ignore downed players but they will kill you off real quick if there are no other targets around, now.
@@bretttheroux8040 wouldn’t say the most rewarding you’re at such a huge disadvantage you can’t do stuff that trios do
This definitely helps! As a solo DMZ player it can get pretty stressful.
Top tip:
When your in a vehicle it’s shows up red on the map to enemy players.
XD
That’s a great tip. I like to make sure to stay on the road so I look like an AI. Lol
Noise is another, if you're close enough to hear the truck's (or any vehicle's for that matter) engine running, when AI exits the vehicle they'll turn off the engine immediately, players can't do that, so when they exit marker will go from red to greenish or whatever but the engine will keep running for a while (will turn off eventually tho)
One another are AI fire, they only shoot at players, if they are shooting at a vehicle it's guaranteed to players..
You need to do like one or two missions.... Toxic
if you are just extracting, just let them extract. You won't get their loot anyway. So everyone will have their fun. I don't always take the kill, only if necessary for survival. I know it's a pvp with a mixed Ai game mode but lets just be honest here, everyone playing DMZ just wants to relax and play a chill game. Be cool.
@@rickmortyson4861 I've done most of the peaceful ones. Now I just need 45 kills on operators with silenced assault rifles.
Sucks that prox chat only works within 60/70m radius. You also need to be within 10m to even try the squad invite feature.
I've probably killed several squads that may have otherwise been friendly lol
right on, so do I! 👍
Thank you 🙏🏽
Yeah it's a good video.
Good guide, you and Phixate have the best ones so far. You should run building 21 with him when it's up
Just watched Lego, Dalek, and DK do a run on 21. It’s insane!
Random tip No2. Can't open supply crates dropped from planes, change your interact setting to tap to reload (worth adding this as a quick access setting)

The best tip to stay alive in DMZ is to have teammates that dont suck.
I find the latest extract actually quite safe. A lot of people have died, extracted or crashed.
I rarely fight players at the final ectract
This has been my experience as well. I have only had one match out of about 10 or so that had people at the final extract.
same here, + U kind know where it is and can use high points or even light hellis to land save on tp of the final chopper last second :p
You and Lupo are the only streamers I watch that have figured out that this game mode is much more deep than just shooting AI. You can play this mode so many different ways. Some games I just hunt Operators and other games when I want to chill I avoid them or team up with another squad and load up on loot to extract.
The cod community should promote squading up together. The game is more fun teaming up and making it massive PvE
Tip For the last heli, if there is another Team then try to invite Them to your Team, works almost every time, you dont lose your stuff and its a Happy End for all
Just tell them in proximity Chat
the spotter scope is useful in thermal mode for picking out the real players. I check out the known spawn points when I start to see where they are moving to. Can either avoid or go after them. If I’m having a quick game in between parental duties I often just take a sniper and try to ruin someone’s game. Yes I’m that guy
well fook that guy and fooku to
Singularly THE MOST HELPFUL video I have watched for this nightmare called DMZ
I knew a fair amount of this, but a like for the simple easy to understand dialogue, text to point out other tips and I didn’t know about grey markers for real team damage so cheers 😊
Great tips on surviving DMZ. I have made every mistake you mentioned here at least one or two times, especially as I first tried this DMZ mode.
Never knew what the green flare above the exfil was. Thank you so much!
I would like if they added in like a “market type system before infiling, like all the cash i exfil is useless if i have my insurance guns already. Also all the kill streaks and stuff. I would like if they allowed us to keep in an market type inventory to store 1-bag, armor vest, KS
If you have both revive pistol and self revive.. stow the pistol so it doesn't get used if you get down
Note that in season 2 or 3 they made it so the self revive gets used before the pistol.
Solid tips and staples for DMZ mode. These are especially important when you play solo DMZ and don't have teammate revive support.
@@kevinfromsales6842 it should be no pvp

Sincerely shocked you didn't have a billion crashes. I can't play for more than an hour or two without Dev errors. The one and only time I even tried to play DMZ, my game crashed and I lost everything. Haven't touched it since.
Sounds like a skill issue
Yeah I couldn't play 2 rounds in a row without a dev error or a straight disconnect when it came out, but since the updates I hadn't had a single dev error. Try it out again, it's fun.
Still get a crash now and then but keep all deployment gear and see the crashes through the rest of the game probably worse than dmz lol

Top tip, say "Friendly Friendly" while entering the extract area. Then when they accept you into the chopper shoot them in the face. 10/10 Recommend

Pretty ballsy to figure that out! Especially since doing that in Warzone turns you into hamburger.
Great tip👍!!!
My biggest tip..always.. ALWAYS load out with a spotter scope, and have it in thermal mode..sooo much easier to see enemies 😁
Where do you find it
This was SUCH a good video and I’ve got a good half dozen extracts and several hours in the game.
I wish I thought of that. I always find drones looting and never think to use one like that! 😓🤣🤣
Downed yes. Killed no. If u get downed in the chopper nowadays, you will get killed in the chopper 9 out of 10 times because of exfill-campers
well laddie, a whole 5 times played?? that ain't an awful lot, eh!? Like Stodeh, I've 100+ extractions (& the sticker as proof) which, by my math, means I've played some 150+ times... his tips (yeah including the vehicle) are to increase your chances of a successful exfil... having a vehicle is important cuz allows you to scout fast but be able to bail if shady, also provides mobile cover, you also can leave to block certain spots and even use as a makeshift trap (if it's highly damaged)... but yeah you don't need one, you don't need plates either... heck you don't even need a gun and will still be able to extract, if you choose your time and/or have some luck... just gonna say, there's probably a reason behind 100+ successful exfils... cheers XD
P.S.: my buddy often plays as a solo ambusher, he goes in w\ the sole purpose of ambushing players trying to exfil.
As someone who carries around a javelin in DMZ. Keep using those vehicles 😀
The plates thing is no joke😂 I’ll start with 18 going into the art museum or something and end with 0
Great vid! You could say it is EXACTLY what I wanted..
This is the best channel ive found so far. Defo gonna follow and like. Thanks bro
Time to sit back and learn some cod 👍🏾🇺🇸
The #1 tip is don’t exfil when the game tells you. Either go earlier or later. Amount of players that hear “the radiation is spreading we need to get out” then rush to the closest exfil, expecting others not to do the same and then cry that they’re camping exfils. Smh lol
I have likewise had the most luck when extracting almost immediately upon entering after regearing, or at the very last exfil possible. It may not be everyone's experience, but I have only had one game where there was another person at the last exfil.
I didn't realize that was what I was doing, everytime I hear gas I catch a few operators en route 😅
Thanks, fairly new and and I always take my best gun in from the start, won’t be doing that now I’ve watched this video, now so much sense.
Great little tutorial, thanks. 👍🏻
Finally a good beginner;s guide. Appreciate it.
I find extracting super easy, fresh you should always go to one of the big areas with lots of chests & ai like the Cave or Mall to get a vest.
I'm Tier 5 in missions right now and I played a ton of DMZ, and I still find this video very useful and concise... take my like and sub
Thanks heaps i dont have much time to play warzone and DMZ, between work and family life om lucky to get in a few hours a week playing multiplayer small maps. This helped me a lot understanding how DMZ works. I need to play it to get a gun from the pharmacist.
It also helps to learn spawn points so you’ll know where enemies spawn. No matter where you spawn there’s a team that spawns not to far from you
Solo player here, I actually got my 100 DMZ extraction sticker on my gun recently.. been through the ringer with DMZ lmao.
@@Stolzeey My friend and I were able to figure this out after much frustration. I wonder if they did that on purpose.

So when doing a hostage contract, the player carrying the hostage will not be able to enter vehichles. Stod did say to get ON a vehichle, but just to clarify; try and have the player who's holding the hostage get on top of some sort of half wall and then hop onto the top on the vehichle. This makes the whole procedure a lot more streamlined.

tip:
You can duplicate munitions boxes only if you equipped them in you load out before deploying in DMZ.
Most players seem good. But there are a lot of guys with little balls who can't get a kill without lying.

If you're doing simple "Extract with..." missions, I'd suggest avoiding all contact with the enemy.
Stealth goes a long way in this game.
absolutely the best advice. All my most successful solo extracts were done with maximum stealth.
No plates, no self-revives and no.....MAIDENS?
Did I hear that right coming from Stodeh?
please make a guide video for the juggernaut and the chemist!

Great intro to DMZ Stod 🙏
Thanks for this vid! Was kinda waiting for this to peek it up with some friends after work and weekends 👍
Happy birthday stod. Cheers
I've watched a lot of DMZ tutorials. Yours is best by far. Great tips
Sounds like some great tips, thanks dude. Thinking about having my first go at DMZ tomorrow night ( i’m scared 😂 )
I was looking at the loading screen yesterday, talking to my 2 team mates and making a plan, then the game crashed…I lost my xfil streak, keys, weapons, etc…I love and hate this game
Cheers stod - nice one. Hazardous Zone weheyyyy
The Beam Team is here!!!
