Why the corner of all footage was blur??
Exactly what I was just about to ask
@@OfficialDJTazer its called vignetting lol
Naw it’s the type of lens it has a radial blur
Finally, someone covered this. All these pros on RUclips just talk about raising ISO for less grainy shots but it's so inapplicable for shots that are bright outdoors. I knew an ND had to be part of the mix to dial in the correct exposure! Thank you for this video.
I'm glad that you found the video helpful! Thank you so much for supporting the video!
thanks for the videos does the camera have guide lines to show a cinemascope frame overkay like for 2.39
Hi. How do i know if the variable nd filter stop is okay to use? Do i need to turn on zebra lines and twist the variable nd filter until zebra lines fades away?
have you had any experience with nd filters on the 12-24mm 2.8 gm? I'm concerned what filters are faster to change because no variable nd exists :(
I had no idea that my NiSi 10 stop ND filter i had bought to smoothen out waterfall stills can also be useful in video filming.
Hello Henry, I have a question..what's that accessory you have with the orange piece? Would love to lean
ND's are a MUST HAVE. Not only for the A7IV imo. I personally use the Freewell 2-5 and 6-9 Stop ND on my A7IV and i would'nt be able to live without it.
Was looking at this setup or the Freewell V2 3-7 stop. I've heard people say they mostly use the middle stops, so people prefer the range of the V2 because you don't have to change out the filters as much as you would with the 2-5 and 6-9. In your experience, do you find yourself jumping between the two filters frequently?
@@CollinLove-oq6wn That's funny that you ask me because I actually switched to the Freewell V2 3-7 recently. The 2-5 and 6-9 worked great, but yeah sometimes when you don't really know in what conditions exactly youre going to be shooting in, it can be kind of a back and forth. In my experience, I've never used the 2-5 in the low end, always either 4 or 5. And the 6-9 very very rarely all the way up at 9. I mostly used the 2-5 on 5 as that imo is kind of a sweet spot and if I needed more switched to the 6-9. So the V2 3-7 was a perfect fit for me. Can definitly recommend it. But as with many things, it always depends on personal preference and what you're planning to do with the gear.
Which 10 stop ND Filter should you suggest to buy as there are lot of 10 stops ND Filter From K&F Concept...
I have a 50 and 85MM prime lens and the Sony a74 kit lens. Can you tell me and recommend which ND filters I should get?
Does it mess up the lens? Seems very soft on the sides, horribly so?
Nice work!
Thank you so much for your kind words and support on the video! It means a lot to us!
For 1.4 aperture, video shutter speed 120, nd 1000 will be ok?
I just bought the Sony A6700 last month and yesterday i just bought the K&F concept nd2-32 (5 stops). Will it be enough for the Tamrom 17-70 f2.8 ?
why is it so blurry on the sides ? and no I dont mean the Bokeh ....
in the video, only the center was clear. The edges were blurry, was this an artistic choice or does the nd filter cause extra blurr at the outer edges of the frame?
That’s a great question and observation! The blurry edges are from a new Final Cut Pro plugin that we are testing, not from the ND filter. Hope it helps!
@@henrymediagroup I kinda like it, what's the plugin called? It's like a tilt shift effect
It is the anamorphic effect plugin from MotionVFX. Hope it helps!
@@henrymediagroup I LOVE AND NEEEED THAT EFFECT, OMG YES
@@henrymediagroup What Motion VFX Pack is it in??
What stop range for shooting F/4 at 800 or 12800 ISO?
yes
Well whst if i dont have an A7 IV ? What if i have s Sony S6400
Great video man. I am currently using the K&F Concept Filter myself. It's a life save!
Thank you so much for your kind words and support on the video! It means a lot to us!
please tell how to stack Tiffen black promist with K&F Concept VND filter together on a lens?
Please tell us this, only then ur video has some meaningful please
Do the ND effect autofocus on Sony
VND or hard stop nds
how do I decide which size to get for my camera and Lens combo, I have the Sony a7iv with the 50mm 1.8!
Do you mean the nd filter size?
I love it ! What computer do you use to edit !?
Thank you so much for supporting the video! We were using a 16 inch MacBook Pro to edit the video, hope it helps!
Thanks for the video, maybe it’s a question unrelated to this video, when specialist like you or other RUclipsr talked about A7Siii
“oh A7Siii have awesome low light capability, video is so clean at ISO 12800, or even 25600, bla bla bla….”Do they always mean “if we are shooting Slog 2 or 3”
That means the clean video with High ISO is not guarantee if we shoot with other picture profile (e.g. CINE 4 and HLG has different 2nd ISO) or creative styles
1. Don't shoot Slog2 on 10-bit cameras like the SIII. Just shoot Slog3 instead as you will get far more dynamic range.
2. Each picture profile has different dual gain settings:
Slog3 [640 & 12800]
Cine1 [64 & 1250]
Cine2 [50 & 1000]
Cine3 [80 & 1600]
Cine4 [100 & 2000]
HLG [100 & 2000]
HLG1 [50 * 1000]
HLG2 [80 & 1600]
HLG3 [100 & 2000]
3. Don't shoot profiles like Slog3 at ISO 800 like this video. All you're doing is introducing additional noise.
4. When shooting Slog3, you should over expose by about 1.6 stops. This will get you the most shadow detail while retaining enough data in the image to pull the highlights down in post.
@@liamriley9816 thank you for the info Liam
@@liamriley9816and which ISO with Cinetone (Picture Profile 11)?
do you think I would need 10 stop ND for slog 3 even with a 2.8 24-70? I'm planning to buy a 3 stop, 6 stop and maybe a 10 stop as I don't know if stacking a glimmer glass + nd 3 stops + nd6 stops to get a 9 stops total would be ideal or even feasible
do you have this queston solved? I got the same question right now? I'm Planning to get ND2-ND400 (9 Stopps)
@@frijiisland bought all three NDs and the glimmerglass! Everything is working ok even stacked and yes, ND 10 is needed when shooting log during the day
Welche lut hast du 😳
That's a great question! We actually color graded the footage in Final Cut Pro without using any LUTs. We will try to do a color grading tutorial video in the future, stay tuned!
@@henrymediagroup du hast richtig geile Farbe 🔥 das musst du mir zeigen. Bin gespannt 😍
