I am an actor and content creator with Hollywood credits including roles on Lucifer (Netflix), Starlight Christmas (Hallmark), JT Leroy (Universal Studios), etc. In this channel, I offer insight to Kpop performances using my 10+ years of training in dance, acting, singing and overall performance. In dance, my forte are contemporary and musicals and have done most of my performances in theatre. Although my channel is mostly known for dance analysis, I am currently inactive in the dance community.

Thank you I keep thinking “Isn’t this the song always says takes everything out of him” Jeff explaining the popping and isolations kind of makes more sense why Jimin says he has some grudges against it. I was always surprised me he said fake love because I though some of the other dances looked more taxing.
You can really tell that in many ways he dances harder than the others. The same goes for Hobi as well, look how hard he's breathing almost at the end.

Jimin is 80% legs, and it makes him look 10ft tall when he wears skinny jeans! For You is such a pretty song, and Jimin looks like he's ice skating across the stage with how fluidly he moves. I love their challenging, intense choreos, but the more simple ones have a special place in my heart because they look so pretty and carefree and relaxed doing them and I love seeing them like that on stage. That's why BWL is among my favorites for them to perform live, they're all glowing and especially Namjoon just straight up radiates happiness and joy^^

Thank you Jeff for emphasizing Jimin’s detailed dance movements! Not many reactors who has dancer’s back ground would noticed those detailed movements & mentioning in their reaction videos! I saw someone already mentioned ‘Butterfly’ performance at Nanjing. I would like to second that recommendation. It is beautiful performance because all the BTS members did execute those lyrical choreography so well but also because it is bit more close up fan cam that you can see how Jimin was really immersed into their music, how he would moved within the music & portraits the emotions & stories of their music with his every detailed body movements, his facial expressions & his gaze. It almost looks like he was drunk in the emotions of their music.This performance video back in 2016, made me realize that Jimin is not just a idol star who would dance exceptionally well, but the true artist who would really listened, learned & understand the music & fully immersed himself so naturally into the music & interpret those emotions of the music through everything, his facial expressions, his gaze & his every details body movements. It is such a beautiful site to see & it will make you emotional as well! Thanks again & please, take care & stay safe, healthy, happy!

When he slides across and turns, It's Everything!! In the movie Bring The Soul, Jimin speaks about Fake Love. He said he gets exhausted and needs to build up his endurance. I always like to watch Jimin dance. I look at the placement of his feet and body control.
I love that you talk about the dangling hands!! No one seems to remember that for Fake Love they are puppets/marionettes and those loose hands add to the fact.

I like the overall BTS performance of For You as well, in it you can really see Jimin move across the stage and see how he loves dancing it. I just love the feel he gives when he’s doing that glide and turn, perfection! The Fake Love Fan Cam though, it’s so intense and amazing, that one I have watched many times. He’s so emotive and passionate, it’s great to see just him so you can see how he keeps that up through the full dance. He dances and sings with every part of him, including his hair and finger tips!
Hello Jeff thank you so much for reacting to this. You should see his live performance of his solo song LIE live at Wings Tour at Seoul fancam by midnight_show jm. That was a masterpiece! Jimin's live vocal & the choreography was so amazing & mind blowing. Definitely one of BTS best solo live performance!

Jeff, I'd love you to see BTS "BUTTERFLY" EPILOGUE IN NANJING JIMIN FANCAM - by Jamjam Park - It has the most awesome more contemporary choreography by Brian Puspos that even all the rest of the BTS members said was just meant for Jimin! This was from the beginning of 2016 on tour. Not only did Jimin dance so stunningly beautifully but all the members danced equally amazingly especially considering they don't even have Jimin's background! I have learned so much from your reactions when it comes to Jimin’s dancing. The little details you point out in other videos such as the way he places his fingertips and and just body placement and how you point out how his contemporary dance plays into the way he dances! Of course you can tell Jimin is my bias but also J-Hope. Just all BTS members are SOOOO talented dancing and singing and rapping!!! One dancer pointed out his ballerino pose when he's still, and I've noticed and appreciated the grace it gives his lines ever since. I knew there was something familiar and special but could not identify what it was about it. Its the Baryshnikov of the Prince, MJ, Gene Kelly & MB having a baby w/ that unicorn part that gaves us Park Jimin.

What impresses me most, is when they perform with live vocals. When you dance, a common topic is how to use your breath. The most obvious is how to not get out of breath but even outside of that, breath techniques are used a lotttt in order to help sharpen your movements or even make them more "flowy". The best example i can give is when you do the chest pop. When doing it, most of the technique revolves around taking in a very sharp breath and using your body movements to accentuate that. Now imagine doing that while singing 💀

@ 11:10 thanks Jeff for explaining that part, now it make sense to me coz there's a clip that J-Hope mentioned that some moves in Fake Love are like those marionette dance. He was explaining it to some trainees in a survival show as a mentor.
I highly recommend a Jimin fancam of their 2016 performance of No More Dream in Nanjing if you like getting triggered 😂

JK is the most stable when he pops and sings...soooo difficult!! The other guys can do it too, obviously, but to my ears he’s the most consistent

Slow songs should always have softer, less complex choreo; if it was sharp and complex, it would not suit the song.
