  • Join me as I search for treasure in the yard of an old castle in France. I don't find too much, but I do take the time to explain my techniques and try to teach some important "how to" tips and tricks of the hunt.

You should run a metal detecting boot camp. Obviously, it is far more complicated than it looks. Ten weeks oughta do it. Fascinating.

Here in Tucson and the Sonoran desert in general, pottery and broken glass and China are big il red flags I look for when scouting sites. Especially along the Santa Cruz. Pottery and glass was the plastic of the last century. It usually means there was good activity at the right time for there to be goods. Also old miner gear, like steel cans and classifiers.

+Long Weng didn't realize he said Spain, but. After revolutionary forces executed French Bourbon king Louis XVI in 1793, Spain joined Britain and other European powers in a war against France. The following year France invaded Spain and ravaged its northern provinces, occupying Bilbao and San Sebastian. After initial Spanish resistance, Godoy admitted defeat.
