What a beautiful tribute to Lyn!! Richard, sending prayers your way as you navigate this difficult time!! Sending prayers for your Franca and praying she will be home soon!! Feel better soon Gayna!!
Just started watching - and you’re so right about the connections we can make online. I agree that it’s a kind of friendship even if not in person. Condolences to Lyn’s family.
I so enjoy your lovely waffles - it really is like sitting down for a cuppa with a good friend. So sorry to hear about Lyn; sending love to Richard & all who knew her. Take care xx
I love the Maybury cardigan! Your yarn is beautiful!!! Blessings to Lyns family and her husband Richard as they grieve the loss. You are an angel Gayna and I will continue to send Franca healing thoughts! Take time to enjoy the holidays and I will see you over on the Gayna Jane channel for vlogmas! Much love and hugs!-Bonnie
Hi Gayna, when altering your wrapover dress from front to back dont forget the sleeves need to be switched around too as the front sleeves are always shaped in whereas the backs arent xx
Missed you Gayna. I have not been on RUclips for a bit. Busy packing and purging our home, as we are moving a week before Christmas 🎄 ❤💫 downsizing from three floors to one ! It feels great though !i haven’t been knitting either, and it will be nice to relax , once we are settled in. Take care . Enjoy your Holidays
Oh, downsizing is hard! We've done it a couple of times (they were hard times and we had to move in a hurry, one move was on the first day of the first lockdown). When we moved here, we had to start again with new furniture, that was a pleasant experience! Except gor the living room furniture, for which we waited almost 4 months and then when the second sofa arrived, it was the wrong one and much cheaper than the one we ordered. Everything is great now and we are in our third tear here and very settled, so I hope uou will enjoy your new place, when it happens and that your move goes smoothly!
@ appreciate the kind words and wishes of encouragement! We are looking forward to our new smaller space . We don’t need much more than that, and it feels so good , getting rid of stuff that no longer serves us, 💛☮️💫
Lovely video Gayna touched with sadness too, so many warm wishes sent to Lynn’s family and healing wishes to your ‘paddock buddy’ Franca 🙏💫 looking forward to joining you over on Your Vlogmas✨ I’m exactly the same as you with the lurgy and many others it seems. Take care. Alison xx
I don’t often comment but I always watch your videos on both this and the new channel, Gayna. You’re one of my favourite podcasters/vloggers. You’re genuine and funny and real and kind. Can’t wait to spend a little time with you each day over Vlogmas. Hope your friend gets well soon x
Thank you for a lovely podcast. I am a West Country gal born and bred. Who now lives in Hawaii. But lived in Somerset way back in the 80’s. I am so happy to have discovered your channel. Aloha ❤
Oh Gayna, I do love your podcasts and you can waffle as much as you like. I did order Fussy deodorant and thank you it is delicious! Looking forward to blogmas. Cheers 🥂 lovely x❤️
I am in lots of pain with sciatica trapped nerve in hip joint leg calf ankle joint. Can't walk properly or going upstairs and down...just knitting shawl for myself
Oh Cuckoo, sad news with the loss of Lyn especially for Richard, family and friends. Your cardi looks lovely...I am almost tempted to knit that myself...one day when I have some lush yarn. I pray Franca will be out of hospital soon much recovered and your cold is disappearing as I type this xx
So sorry to hear about Lyn and my sympathises go out to Richard and his family, hope Franca feels better soon, the Maybury cardigan is gorgeous, I like the plans for the M&M dress xx
Such sad news of Lyn, our best wishes to Richard. It will be a difficult Christmas for him.Hope you get rid of your cold/cough Gayna, it's rife here in NZ as well and I believe so is whooping cough.I got whooping cough a few years ago, terrible.Know how you feel about going away but it will be a good thing, you can do it .Looking forward to your vlogmas on your other channel.Love, love the pink yarn. The cardigan is going to look superb.Hope Franka will get well quickly.
I live your waffle Gayna! Sorry for the loss of a friend, and best wishes to her family. We certainly fo have a lovely community on this, your channel Gayna. I hope your friend is soon home from hospital, you are a lovely friend to visit so regularly! Good luck with having the lump removed ftom your back, i think the one at the base of my neck is similar. They didn't want to operate on mine because they said it's not life threatening and i was told i could loose the use if an arm. It sounds as though it's in an awkward place. So i decided to leave it, however, my youngest daughter reckons it's still growing.
❤❤❤ I appreciated your heartfelt feelings shared for your friends and got a bit teary for Richard and Franca❤❤❤ And later had to QUICKLY mute you and put on closed captioning to avoid the BakeOff spoiler for my hubs. I love a good spoiler but he is the opposite and we literally have plans to watch it today, actually just in 20 minutes. 😂😂😂 We live a very exciting party lifestyle on the weekend. I am heading into a Saturday morning filled with knitting, so thank you for starting it off right. 🧶🧶🧶
There you are ❤ so sad to hear about Lynne , I always noticed her comments and her saying “lynne here on hubby’s phone” bless her, may she rest in peace, and condolences to Richard. I had a thing for fisherman rib way back, I don’t know why, just liked the sponginess of it😅 made a cardigan and a jumper, I think i might still have them somewhere! Your cardigan I’m sure is going to turn out beautifully. I am all socked out! I have made 8 pairs as Christmas gift’s and now onto scrubbies also gifts, just discovered them and they are quite addictive to knit🤪 so sorry that Franca is still in hospital any improvement? I hope so. Oh ageing, when I was in caring , I used to think either things will grow on you, or drop off you as you age! 😂 Hope you feel better Gayna, take care of yourself, Love &Hugs, Suze. 🤗🧦🥰😘 xxx
Gayna, I'm so sorry about Lyn's passing. I do take the time to read most of the comments and remember hers. We are all part of a community. As for knitting, I've knitted 3 Stockholm vests but have never thought to steek them. Best wishes to sweet Franka on her recovery. How about doing a blanket stitch around the vest to hide the dodgey bits?
So sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. Do let Franca know we’re thinking about her and wishing her well. I love hearing about what’s going on in your life and with your family. Hope that cold goes soon.
So sad to hear of Lyn passing away, sending best wishes to Richard and her family.Gayna I hope you are feeling much better very soon as well. I love your Vlogmas, I am so looking forward to it. I cannot believe how fast this year has flown by, I have Christmas luncheons coming up in the next few weeks for the different quilting and craft groups I belong to here in Australia.
Good morning dear Cuckoo! Such sad news about Lyn passing and I always remember seing her comments 'from Richard's phone'. I wish Franca a speedy recovery and hope someone is looking after her dog whilst she is in hospital. Please give her a hug from me when you next visit. I know your hospital visits will mean so much to her and you are the best friend anyone could wish for. I thought you had a cold when your video started and hope is goes quickly. I eagerly await your daily vlogs during this month. Sophie.
I was just thinking of your earlier and not only is there a new wonderful vlog to watch but you made me laugh about the canoe and orange life preserver! Do you know that photo was taken in 2018 !!! Yikes - I think I must update it. Rest assured that the next time we come across each other I will announce myself loudly and clearly! How absolutely lovely that you are doing Vlogmas over on Gayna Jane. I will definitely be watching. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your follower, Lyn. My thoughts go out to Richard and his family. Sending hugs to you.
I think I already knew that Dylan did not win the bake-off but we won’t see it till tomorrow evening. I feel so bad listening to you with your cold and hearing about your friend doing poorly. Thank you so much for your sweet podcast ❤
Hi Gayna, I would call that garment a gilet. Hope you feel better soon, you did sound choked up. I love sweet little Margot. Love the look of that squishy cardigan, but have never knitted fisherman’s rib or brioche 😳 Looking forward to vlogmas. Might put my tree up with you. 🎄
I'm so sorry for the loss of Lyn. My condolences to her husband. It's always so sad to lose someone but especially so right here at the holiday season. I look forward to vlogmas and watching you decorate. I'm wondering how old Margo is. I have a little Jack Russell mix who will turn 17 on Christmas Day and he was a runt so I named him Tiny Tim. But we've had a rough week and I'm not sure he is going to make it😢 I know it's inevitable but I just don't think I'll be able to bear it. He came to live with me a few months after losing my husband and has meant the world to me. He helped heal me. I know I'm blessed to have had him for so many years but that is not going to make it any easier 😔
These days, internet friends are an important part of our lives, sorry to loose one. Wishing you were sharing that Franca is improving. Please let her know we are thinking about her. Your cardigan is going to be gorgeous!
What a Saturday treat this has been Gayna. Thank you so much. Richard and family, so very sorry to hear the awful news about Lynn. I used to laugh at her introduction to her comments. Poor Franca. Let’s hope she can turn a corner soon. Love to her too. Laughed about the many garments you were wearing - including the big knickers 🤭 looking forward to vlog as very much. Thanks my dear. 🎄☃️
A sad farewell to Lyn, she will leave a bit of a hole 🙏🏽 i do hope you feeling all better really soon. I could tell right away you didn’t sound well. Love your vest. And your new cardigan start. Get some rest and i am looking forward to your vlogmas. ❤
It's funny to me, the different names for things between Canada and the UK. The lovely cream garment you made I would call a vest, but a vest to you is an undershirt to me. Anyway it's lovely and I cannot wait to see it embroidered. Very much looking forward to your vlogmas. Richard if you read this, may you find comfort in your memories this holiday season. Hugs to you.
❤❤❤ahhh,so sorry to hear about Lynn,,,,thoughts to Richard 😢 And best wishes for a recovery to franka,,,,, Socks,,!!!!a fun idea,,,, Take care Feel better ELAINE 🏠💗
Richard, I hope you are watching this vlog. I am so sorry for your loss and I hope it gives you some solace that she will be missed by us. We might not know each other but we do care. The same goes for Franca. During lockdown you always met with her each on your own side of the hedge. It made me always think of Wilson of the series Home Improvement and it made me laugh. She is part of the Cuckoo family for me and for lots of others it must be the same. Get well soon and I hope to see you soon behind the hedge. :)
Hi Gayna I could tell straight away you had a cold. Have you tried Vick rubbed on the soles of your feet and a pair of socks at bedtime for your cough, sounds strange but believe me it works. Condolences to Richard and a beautiful few words from you. I think I would call your new knit a bolero and it’s lovely so is Granny’s bee. Only got half way as himself wants to watch the snooker, he could go in ther other room lol😂 xx
I’m so sorry that you are feeling poorly and struggling with clouded brain. Vest and socks are great! Bake off was a great season and loved all the bakers but happy Georgi won! Good luck with vlogmas 🎄videos. Please take care and rest as much as possible.😊💐
