really refreshing to see Napalm launchers and tai yang shou being used, people are so eager to win that they just stop trying to be creative anymore, good to see someone making a different
I know I've written a lot already, but I must say, as I'm finishing watching the video, your fights have been the most interesting, and I've watched A LOT since i've purchased the game a week ago.
There is no many builds that use unconventional weapons, really like this one you made, the new patch make this one run more reliable with that bomb thrower
I was just trying these two weapons out as a pair the other day! Although for me it was because I found it silly running the cheapest junk AC with two grenade launchers held sideways like gangster pistols 😂⚡️🔥
Not sure on the dates, but as of the 1.03.1 thecharge attack on the explosive thrower is good out to around 200m. Feels like it's intended to be the conventional counterpart to the slinger blades now.
Napalm launcher it pretty good when used in tandem with a flame thrower and the circle shield. Flamethrower blocks their vision and you can charge the napalm launcher behind the shield to get the better spread. Not to mention its much easier to land direct hits when the enemy cant see anything because of the flamethrower
I tried using a napalm launcher in one hand and a jammer bomb launcher in the other, with a flamethrower and I think an mg in the hanger. Maximum visual chaos for the opponent, plus impaired lock-on. In retrospect, a Eule instead of an MG may have been better as it's another obstacle your opponent has to think about, bombs probably arch over it, and it does good impact damage on hit.
I actually enjoy the explosive thrower as a “back off bitch” sort of tool of quick stagger if I’m close, but if you use tank/quads the plasma whip does the same job 100x better
True. But is slinging out a little rink-a-dink yo yo, really as fun as whipping your arm and creating a wall of explosions and fire? No. I don't think so lol
I have a bunch of ACs built based on the Eevee evolutions from pokemon, and my flareon one uses the napalm in the left hand spot, it does surprisingly well in PvE as well, great for clusters of MTs, and worked really well on the boss in grid 86, which you'd think it being a giant rolling furnace, wouldn't be the case lol
Yesterday night I had a go at cloning LaMuerteBlanca's Belgdor-themed build using equipment available in Chapter II, but I made the additional substitution of cruise missiles instead of Songbirds. I ran my bootleg AC against the Sea Spider for a shakedown and just smacked poor thing around, I was not expecting to be quite so powerful or for all the ammo I used to be so cheap in the end. Against anything stupid enough to be on the floor, napalm is a really good punish because of the 170% crit damage and the fire DoT. The cruise missiles can be timed to hit sequentially to stun and punish, and now I really want the double versions of the cruise missile launchers for the extra power against bosses. If I had to take this against other ACs, I think Truenos like in the vid would be a better option. Theoretically with Truenos I have the option of manually purging a weapon and using my fists to set up a combo if the other player is trying to rush with an agile build that the napalm/hand missiles won't hit, or if I need to shed a little weight to boost into range with somebody up in the skybox that napalm grenades won't reach.
Clearly Truenos do most of the work here lmao They are such a good Missile Launchers for Lightweight Also wonder how fast the ACS Anomaly Build up is since THATS the other selling point for Fire weapons It makes Direct Hits just do SOO much more damage, the Starter Machinegun could melt Tanks
I haven't been able to find out how exactly ACS anomaly works and unfortunately my friend doesn't seem to care enough to get to pvp so I can't really test it. I have no idea how much ACS anomaly helps or how quickly it builds up/whether or not you can increase resistance to it with anything other than shield
@@thecyanpanda241not exactly sure on resistance other than shields- but acs anomaly comes from fire weapons and can proc extraordinarily quickly especially if you run dual bad cooks. when it procs, your AC will take much more damage than usual. and by much i mean whatever hits you will shred you no matter if you are tanky or if the dps on the weapon is low. its a potent but rather unreliable proc to get unless youre cracked or your foe sucks
I kinda like the napalm launchers. Disclaimer i only play PvE. I made a pyro AC that mains bad cooks with the napalms as secondary, it was fun to field test accross multiple missions. Gained an appreciation for bad cook, great damage if you're willing to tank a little damage to stand there and roast the enemy to death. Swap to napalm, fire once, swap to bad cook and roast (napalm does decent stun if landed directly, a neat bonus). Other AC's don't seem to know what to do as they dodge the first damage tic then just stand there being roasted. Probably wouldn't work against other players though.
Yeah i loved them too for PvE that's why i really wanted to make them work in PvP. In case you don't know yet burning the target for a little bit will cause malfunction (sadly there is no visual conformation) and they will take significantly more impact damage
Anything on the ground pretty much, yeah. Smart and fat tanks you ain't killing, they simply outlast your ap, and win dps race. Against targets hanging even 1 meter above the ground you will have better chance at winning by purging napalms and chasing them with bare fists
We're seeing a lot of wins, but how many loses were there in getting this footage? Just generally curious how well this did as a build cause sometimes using stuff that isn't of a games particular meta, is enough to screw with people's strategies and get wins that way, so I'm curious lol
@@vinnykawai2 not bad. Thanks for the reply, it really helps me form a more accurate opinion on builds and the like. I personally don't even think the Zimmermans were that bad, really good for sure, but they showed you exactly what you're dealing with when you see them, someone who's likely not that good with their maneuverability, and are just looking for "the thing that works" lol
@@vinnykawai2 thank you for the inspiration! I like it when people are using "non-meta" weapons and make them work with their builds. I think that's how we should play AC, it's a non-competitive game we should just have fun and care less about winning lol.
You better of purging napalms and go with punching if you don't kick, they are that bad. Without Trueno or other unit with good impact dmg you will never stagger your opponent. To kill a tank (presumably with >1 braincell) you simply don't have enough impact/ap damage with napalms to outlast him. Don't forget the biggest issue that your opponents move 3 dimensionally, them moving 2 meters above the ground renders napalms useless

The gangster grip is sooo fire 🔥
I also think they underestimated the damage while standing in the flames!
2 napalms 6 grenades does like ~4k damage over full burn duration so, don't get burnt out there 🚒

You should combo the napalm with the jammer, and lure them into the ECM then hit them with the explosive thrower. :)
